Then you should know better. A special meaning what? I was a special. I had no fucking idea what being a regular meant. With a crime list and court dates and pressure rather than sitting in the passenger seat and going home on time.

If you're a special you should know that posting inflammatory threads like this carry a responsibility and if your force knew there would be a case to answer. There is a social media policy. Find it and read it. And you've done nothing it manage to alienate the likes of me. My personal opinion is the same as most if you. Professionally this thread is a fucking disgrace. Well done. I'm if a mind to report it myself actually to psd. You give normal working police officers a bad name. They can do charter checks and find out who you are and who you work for.

Caucho · 12/04/2018 20:50

I’m pleased he’s dead. I think he deserved it. Yes I’ve said it. Obviously just my opinion but am more than happy to admit to my thoughts

frankchickens · 12/04/2018 20:56

Luckily for many on this thread the police treat everyone the same.

That is self-evidently not true and not possible; and it is also not my personal experience having had both excellent and terrible interactions with the Police. It would be silly to imagine it could ever be different - individual Police are people just like the rest of us.

I really don't mean to be personally critical of you or any other Police - except in so far as I do expect to be able to express an opinion about the strategy being pursued in the case of the fence shrine.

You have an opinion about the Policing of the fence shrine, I have a different one.

That is all.

stitchglitched · 12/04/2018 21:00

Wow if you think the OP is breaching social media policy just by expressing her distaste about these flowers you ought to head over to the ukpolice forum on Reddit and see the kind of stuff they are saying about this case.

stillvicarinatutu · 12/04/2018 21:02

Anything posted from frank I stopped reading.

I'm reporting this to police standards and discipline given a special posted this. They've done us a massive disservice and they need to answer as to why. Clearly a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

stillvicarinatutu · 12/04/2018 21:04

Yes it is a complete breach of social media policy. And they will surely know this given they know so much else

frankchickens · 12/04/2018 21:05

Anything posted from frank I stopped reading.
Yes, just like you said you were leaving the thread - oh well, suit yourself :)

stitchglitched · 12/04/2018 21:07

What is a breach? Commenting about a case on social media?

stillvicarinatutu · 12/04/2018 21:12

We have a social media a policy. I am advising the special who posted this thread to read it. The police don't need help from within to incite this shit. We have enough to contend with as it is.

Springiscoming123 · 12/04/2018 21:18

wow your gonna report op/post thats pretty spiteful

she has an opinion as you do and you are reporting

stillvicarinatutu · 12/04/2018 21:23

As a police officer you have to abide by a social media policy and not bring the service into disrepute. Spiteful? No. Opinion is fine. But don't go spouting it as fact or represent the police force if your so fucking out of order . This is just inciting the very dispute we have to dissipate as police. Totally inappropriate for an officer to do - special or not.

Springiscoming123 · 12/04/2018 21:24

oh well that will probably be one less "special" now and a loss im sure though she wont be getting paid when she was a special unlike a policeman

terrible that some one gives up their free time and all that being a special incurs because somebody decides to "pull rank"

stillvicarinatutu · 12/04/2018 21:27

I was a special for 4 years. The police don't need people from within eroding public confidence. We all have opinions. We don't all post them to invite a debate in how shit police are when we are meant to be working with them.

onefootinthegrave · 12/04/2018 21:44

vicar i've lost count of the times you said you were leaving both threads, but still came back.

Referring to us as 'the likes of you' just shows how you don't treat everyone the same.

I don't think some of your posts on here have put the police in a good light, but report it to the powers that be in the blue and maybe you'll get pulled up for going on and on and on about your job as a police officer and how you're a 'bloody good one at that' that swears like a trooper on a public internet forum.

There are good and bad in all careers, the police included and I'm not too sure what category you'd fit into with your posts on this thread.

Alpineflowers · 12/04/2018 21:49

SaucyJane-Does anyone know why travellers like the Vincents deserve to be a protected minority? What do they contribute to society that is worth protecting? They're hardly upholding a long historic culture like Romany gypsies, to give just one example - they're just common or garden violent thieves.

Yes they are Romany. Its shameful

lostjanni · 12/04/2018 21:51

@stillvicarinatutu. Honestly, you do make me wonder. I've expressed the opinion that I'm allowed to and have read up on the policy and nothing I have said breaches it.
I've also reported you to the relevant agencies for what you've said.
I quite simply stated that the man is a scun and I don't think the relevant force is doing enough. Ooh shoot me.
Wish me luck guys, but hey one less person making a difference for free may seen be happening.

SaucyJane · 12/04/2018 21:51

Wow, reporting an anonymous thread on mumsnet sounds like a great use of police time Hmm, to say nothing of extremely spiteful. These discussions are going on all over the media and Facebook and every online forum as it is. It's hardly a one off. It's not even a drop in a bucket!

lostjanni · 12/04/2018 21:53

Thanks saucyjane. I agree however I have no choice. If I'm being reported then vicar will also.

OP posts:
Springiscoming123 · 12/04/2018 21:54

i support you op,ive also said up thread how you give your time up etc

its a bit like bullying im sorry to say and as someone said a waste of precious resourses

lostjanni · 12/04/2018 21:56

Spribgiscoming123. Thank you so much. I did it all anonymously and honestly I don't think it will go anywhere so vicar won't. It is also about nil chance of being tracked GrinGrinWink

OP posts:
SaucyJane · 12/04/2018 21:57

It's a stupid response. If people are critical of the police - not the bobby on the beat, but the decision makers at the met in this instance - then there's a reason for that.

It may be rooted in previous experiences; it may be rooted in misunderstanding; but it should be aired and addressed, not buried or talked over.

I'd be amazed if anyone thought looking into a personal opinion expressed out of hours on an anonymous site was a good use of police time. But hey - it's easier than actually getting down to a travellers' site or a road in hither green and doing some actual work, so maybe I'm wrong!

stitchglitched · 12/04/2018 21:58

You'd better hope your own entire social media content is beyond reproach too then vicar. I see you post alot as a 'representative of the police'.

stitchglitched · 12/04/2018 22:00

OP you should see what police officers on Reddit are saying about HV and his family. I wouldn't worry.

lostjanni · 12/04/2018 22:00

@SaucyJane. Fully agree with you but I was backed in a corner and had to also report.
I honestly think nothing will happen.
However I stand by my opinion and if vicar thinks it's a good idea for an overstretched police force to lose officers because of an anonymous post then hey more fool her.

OP posts:
lostjanni · 12/04/2018 22:01

Stitchglitched. I'm not however have reported vicar so she can worry the same.
