No I don't mean you go round know liking people, but I don't have faith in the Criminal Justice System.

Aeroflotgirl · 12/04/2018 18:19

Killing foh

Aeroflotgirl · 12/04/2018 18:21

Exactly, he's dead, he paid the ultimate price for committing a crime. That's it, over now.

TSSDNCOP · 12/04/2018 18:23

The only way the dead career criminal would have faced the full force of the Law is if he’d killed the pensioners with that screwdriver.

Even then the Police would’ve had to find him.

What’s he’s got instead is the full force of a fucktonne of bad luck that happens when you live a life of crap choices and truly nasty behaviour.

Shit happens.

stitchglitched · 12/04/2018 18:23

Yes dog someone linked to the guidelines on a previous thread and you are allowed to strike first- you don't have to wait to be attacked to use force against an intruder. Good thing too IMO as if someone breaks into your home you have no idea of their motives.

Mydoghatesthebath · 12/04/2018 18:25

Give up aeroflotgirl

Anyone outraged at not only this crime but the awful shrine is seen as a cave dweller snd a pitch fork wielded.

I suspect these liberal minded people spout this bollocks from nice middle class areas who feel they should stand up for these scum bags as they are apparently a minority group!!

I suspect these sane people have never met a traveller in their guilted lives snd would equally piss their pants if one entered their home or their street.

I have s sister like this. Highly educated and very forgiving of criminals until someone nicked the hub caps off her car and she dialled 999! Bloody hilarious

frankchickens · 12/04/2018 18:26

You won't listen to a police officer or anyone else who knows what the law says

The people posting on here may or may not be Police - and not everyone in the Police knows the law - in fact many Police are ignorant of some of the law and it's not reasonable to expect them to know it all.

Mydoghatesthebath · 12/04/2018 18:28

Indeed stitch and the full force of the law is presumably what that cunt wharboys got??

Full force of fuck all. The scum would have been out in 6 months.

I am glad he’s dead and don’t apologise for that and to be honest everyone I know is too.

FairfaxAikman · 12/04/2018 18:29

@Mydoghatesthebath I've not only met a traveller but been welcoming med into their home for a meal.
He'd been a Good Samaritan and I'd managed to track him down and take him a bottle of whisky as thanks.
"Othering" travellers doesn't help anyone, but no one is saying you shouldn't condemn criminal acts, just that wishing death is not proportional. I spend a lot of time working in the courts, I see many more non-travellers in the dock.

frankchickens · 12/04/2018 18:30

Section 88 states that that offence is enforceable by "an authorised officer of a litter authority" (not the police) issuing a fixed penalty notice. There isn't a power of arrest.

Yes - that was to extend the option for a fixed penalty notice being issued by others, but it doesn't preclude Police action.

The Police are choosing to ignore this - like people riding their bikes on the pavement etc.

As someone else observed, it's an odd business that says the flowers can be put up without breaking the law, but taking them down is breaking the law. It's a choice - and it's patronising and disingenuous to say there is no choice and no discretion.

Mydoghatesthebath · 12/04/2018 18:31

yes no one knows if people are genuinely who they say they are on the Internet.

Mydoghatesthebath · 12/04/2018 18:33

Yes I met many travellers who camped on a field close to our village. Absolutkry vile. The language was appalling the drinking and intimidation dreadful and the girls st the local
Shop sexually molested and spat at.

Mydoghatesthebath · 12/04/2018 18:34

If it happened in a posh area or outside an MPS house there would be no flowers and police would have intervened.

Mydoghatesthebath · 12/04/2018 18:36

No one wished him death

But equally now I know he’s dead that’s fine by me.

One less pensioner bashing bastard less

Polarbearflavour · 12/04/2018 18:41

Don’t be a criminal and you probably won’t be stabbed to death. No sympathy. I’m sure said burgler would have stabbed the victim and his wife to death with his screwdriver and not care less. Nor would the burgler’s family.

FailingMotherhood · 12/04/2018 18:45

So Bertrand is right it would have better for all concerned that Vincent lived and FACED THE FULL FORCE OF THE LAW AND JAIL.

It would probably be better for the poor elderly victims in this case, but not for the numerous future victims Vincent would have targeted once he got out of jail.

He'd served years in prison over two previous sentences, and he didn't stop being a scumbag.

I'm not sure what the solution is - I don't think that people should die for their crimes, but if they're repeatedly reoffending, not many people are going to mourn their loss, and plenty will celebrate.

Yes he would be out in a few months after facing the full force of the law, tonrob and plunder again. The actions of Mr Osbourne, stopped that dead in its tracks.

Mydoghatesthebath · 12/04/2018 18:49

I think sometimes mumsnet although great is a parallel universe.

Everyone I know and I mean everyone thinks the scum bag got what he deserved and he’s no loss to society or his children. What a dreadful role model. How wife knew exactly what he was up to so she’s a scum bag too.

Still I suppose the vast majority of posters feel this as well and it’s onky been a few apologists for the criminal.

I fear though people like that are those with the power

RoadToRivendell · 12/04/2018 18:52

I think sometimes mumsnet although great is a parallel universe.

Yes. Usually it's something like someone calls a father creepy or overinvested for objecting to his teenage daughter drinking with strangers on a weekday. Today it's an entirely different kettle of fish!

frankchickens · 12/04/2018 18:52

For fuck’s sake, Frank - give it a bloody rest.

Nice.

Mydoghatesthebath · 12/04/2018 18:53

Agree I say it again if this had happened to a rich elderly couple or an influential couple those flowers would not stand. The police would have been instructed to remove them.

Poor old disabled people are the lowest of the low in terms of state protection.

stitchglitched · 12/04/2018 19:04

The only defence of the flowers I've seen online is from a spoof twitter account that takes the piss out of the lefty liberal stereotype, and mumsnet. Says it all.

Mydoghatesthebath · 12/04/2018 19:05

Frank

Ignore the bully

Mydoghatesthebath · 12/04/2018 19:06

Stitchec indeed
