To sing an adapted version of Blurred Lines to my cat?

Cause she's my good girl?

She is my Cookie. My Cookie kitty.

I don't restrict my songs to Cookie. The others enjoy variants of My Humps. They are my lovely lazy lumps.

I attach a photo so as not to drip feed and you can assess my reason or unreason adequately. I welcome other suggestions and information on how else I could sing to them.

Genuinely not performance cat-servanting.

To sing an adapted version of Blurred Lines to my cat?
OP posts:
Runkittyrun · 12/04/2018 23:05

I used to sing to our old cat an adapted version of the Goldfinger song, including the line "he's the cat with the Golden Purr" Blush

alltoomuchrightnow · 12/04/2018 23:21

My lizards don't escape either. They eat crickets and locusts. In Dreadlock Holiday style they get, 'I don't like crickets, oh no, I love 'em'

Also going back to the late 90s..I had a big old jowly male lizard, he was a lovely verdant shade.. he was lucky to have Billie Piper.. 'do you have a green friend'....

alltoomuchrightnow · 12/04/2018 23:22

and he also got Eminem, 'will the real green scaly please stand up, please stand up..''

ClaryFray · 12/04/2018 23:26

I song the best friend song from the hangover at my cat. Adapted of course. She is not amused.

"What do kitty's dream off.
When they take a little kitty snooze."

Where’s your mumma gone, little baby cat etc
Abyssinian ( I’ll be seeing you) you in all the old familiar places.
Or appropriate words to any tune in my head.

torthecatlady · 13/04/2018 02:31

This has made my day and made me happy. It's good to know there's like minded crazy cat people out there! Wink

NatureGal · 13/04/2018 05:00

Yay, found my people and reassuring to know I may be bonkers but I am not the only one. I sing to my cat all the time, Kelis, "milkshake" is a favourite. Monster, "what's that coming over the hill" is my Dh's favourite adjusted to Queen P. We sing to the dogs too, have many tunes, one enjoys it and dances around in a circle wagging his tail. Neighbours think I am bonkers as I do it loudly in the garden.

NatureGal · 13/04/2018 05:07

Our cat and dog also have a song each that my dh downloaded, he dedicates it and plays to them. The cats is " these boots are made for walking" lyrically changed to paws. The dogs have a song called " running bear" and "dancing Queen" lyrically changed when sung and a dance for the Ababa tune much to said dogs delight!

Maggiepryor · 13/04/2018 05:35

My cat goes walk about for days and I sing Peter Sarstedt’s ‘where do you go to my lovely’ when she reappears.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 13/04/2018 05:59

We have a cat called Hero so he regularly gets serenaded with all manner of songs with hero in- Bonnie Tyler, Foo fighters, Julio Inglesias. He loves them all.

LeighaJ · 13/04/2018 06:15

Unreasonable only because both songs mentioned in OP suck. Grin

I use to sing Reunited to my cat when she would be super melodramatic about greeting me after I'd been gone for half an hour or so.

TheWernethWife · 13/04/2018 09:14

Love my siamese cat, I sing The Owl and the Pussycat to him. He will lie on my knee and purr.

alltoomuchrightnow · 13/04/2018 15:33

I do too Werneth (that song), to my siamese tabby mix boy

alltoomuchrightnow · 13/04/2018 15:34

I also sing about Kelis bringing all the mice-shakes to the yard

YourVagesty · 13/04/2018 15:47

It's weird how many of the above I sing to my dog.

'The most beautiful dog in the world (he's the reason that God made a dog).'

'Seamus is a FIREEEEEWORKKKK'

Also, I sing this thing to him. I don't know what it is but it's really dramatic and goes 'SEAMUS! The WONDER DOOOOOOOG!' I know I've adapted that from somewhere but god knows where.

mintich · 13/04/2018 15:56

I sing Be Faithful to my baby.
"All the babies I can't hear ya, all the babies make noise!"

Beamur · 13/04/2018 17:21

caoraich
Just for you, it's a John Shuttleworth song - I can't remember the name, but our lyrics start 'nobody likes a cat with pink lips' (has to be sung in a high, squeaky voice with a bad Sheffield accent. Our pink lipped cat purrs in delight. We love him really.

AccidentallyRunToWindsor · 13/04/2018 19:12

Not singing as such but when my wanderer returns I always ask him;
'pussycat pussycat where have you been?

He meows

'Have you been to London? To see the queen?'

DH and DSC now all do it too.

I sing Gangnam Style to my grumpy tabby 'Heyyyyy sexy lady.... ooh ooh Alfi-style!' She gives me this look Hmm

ShinyMe · 13/04/2018 19:29

I sing personalised songs to my cat all the time. He obviously loves it.

I've recently been walking a dog called Kadi for a friend too, and I've started singing to her - "She's got style, she's got grace, she's got whiskers on her face, she's a Kadi.... whoooo-oooo oooh oooh ooh she's a Kadi". She doesn't seem impressed, but hey.

FallenAngel89 · 13/04/2018 19:33

I sing Lola by The Kinks to my cat Lola 😂🐱 Not that she appreciates it haha!

alltoomuchrightnow · 13/04/2018 22:49

I put him on his back in my lap and do pat a cake with his paws (I've no idea if the lyrics are correct so I made up my own based on the nursery rhyme without googling it)

"Pat a cake pat a cake baker's man
Bake me a vole pie as fast as you can
Pat it and prick it and mark it with V
And put in the oven for Mischief and me'

not like I babyfy my cat or anything

Gatekeeper · 14/04/2018 07:18

Haha alltoomuch....if I tried that with Sherlock I would be eligible for the world's first finger donation Grin

Gatekeeper · 14/04/2018 07:25

Also I loves your Joan Jett song so I'm going to pinch that one as Sherlock loves his voles
