This is an attempt to intimidate the innocent family. Flowers should be removed - isn’t it littering?

he has lived a life based on bullying, robbing and terrorising the elderly, it's not wrong to be pleased he is dead it's a very valid recognition that society is a safer place for the elderly with him gone.

Yep. And if you don’t want people to say that the world is a better place without you in it, then don’t lead a life which makes that the case. If he lived until he was 75 with two burglaries a week, knock off 12 years for prison, that’s over 3,000 burglaries which won’t happen (although I suspect he would have been more prolific). Surely that can’t be a bad thing?

Aeroflotgirl · 11/04/2018 16:15

Don't be so patronising Vesta, your making yourself look bad.

Springnowplease · 11/04/2018 16:17

Vesta, when the rest of the group says you are wrong, only a narcissist would believe otherwise.

You can bluster as much as you like. We see you, we know what you are.

stitchglitched · 11/04/2018 16:18

Well since it was ruled self defence I'm glad he's dead rather than his victims. I'm also glad he won't be able to cause more misery and fear to future victims, of which I have no doubt there would have been many.

CupofFrothyCoffee · 11/04/2018 16:18

Do they? They don't seem to appreciate anything he will be going through. or care about it

It's all through the thread. Everyone's sympathy is with the eldery man, his wife and family and the residents of the street.

Creambun2 · 11/04/2018 16:18

How can the family say he was a "good man" and a "brilliant dad" ffs. Good dad's aren't committing shiity crimes against vulnerable people.

MissEliza · 11/04/2018 16:19

No Magnetic I've completely missed out on that.

Stirner · 11/04/2018 16:20

What I said on the last thread about this has proved to be correct, that there is a loud cohort on mumsnet who were very keen that the law be "enforced" on an elderly gentleman defending himself and his wife, but not so keen on any action being taken against criminals. Strange.

VestaSheridan · 11/04/2018 16:23

But not one person has said how terrible he must feel having killed someone, no ,they are just chanting about how happy they are he did so and what a public good it was. That's not true sympathy at all.

VestaSheridan · 11/04/2018 16:24

Nobody has said anything that even remotely supports such a bizarre intrepretation.

Elendon · 11/04/2018 16:24

So Creambun2 if your son or partner was found guilty of looking at abusive child images on the internet would you be joining the hang them brigade? Or would you visit them in prison - where they rightly belong.

VestaSheridan · 11/04/2018 16:25

Vesta, when the rest of the group says you are wrong, only a narcissist would believe otherwise

Rest of what group? Several people have agreed with me and you are not representative of any group.

Aeroflotgirl · 11/04/2018 16:25

I did actually Vesta, I said that poor old man will have to live with that, for the rest of his life, instead of enjoying his last years. Thanks to that criminal who decided to break into his home.

stitchglitched · 11/04/2018 16:27

Who was saying that if a young black man had killed a burglar there would be outrage? There was no outrage towards Omari Roberts, the only anger was when he was charged and once charges were dropped there were calls to change the law and better protect homeowners. Although he was from Nottingham not Hackney so maybe that is why. Hmm Or maybe people just support the right to defend yourself against armed intruders regardless of colour.

Elendon · 11/04/2018 16:28

Everyone, bar a vocal minority, agreed that the case should be investigated. Which is what happened and there is no further action. There were some who refuted the 'elderly pensioner' tag so beloved by the trash press. This led some to the conclusion that they support criminals. Bizarre reasoning.

SaltireSaltire · 11/04/2018 16:29

If my son or partner died I’d be in deep grief - certainly not driving around pining flowers to fences and issuing threats. I’d expect my relatives to be near to me and not doing it either.
It’s bizarre, undignified and menacing behaviour.

Elendon · 11/04/2018 16:29

His last years?

My mum is 92. Since being 78 she has gone to Ibiza, twice jealous

stitchglitched · 11/04/2018 16:31

The average life expectancy for men in the UK is 79.

Elendon · 11/04/2018 16:34

Plus she was in an abusive relationship and none of her children were really that upset at the death of our father, her husband. It didn't stop me grieving though - it's a mind fuck. We all hoped she would get out there and enjoy herself - which she did!

SaltireSaltire · 11/04/2018 16:34

The relatives of this criminal are making sure he is famous for one thing - for being a criminal.
What a legacy for his kids.

Mydoghatesthebath · 11/04/2018 16:35

You found lovely vesta

People who disagree with you are thick?

Aeroflotgirl · 11/04/2018 16:43

Right Mydog you sound like one of those hug a criminals as well.

Springiscoming123 · 11/04/2018 16:43

stop with the what iff's

there not really relevant, this crime has happened thats the fact

MagneticMan · 11/04/2018 16:44

"There were some who refuted the 'elderly pensioner' tag so beloved by the trash press. "

That would be you, presumably Elendon ?

Elendon Tue 10-Apr-18 18:11:36
I hardly think that someone pictured sporting two pints of stout is elderly, aged or vulnerable.
