This is an attempt to intimidate the innocent family. Flowers should be removed - isn’t it littering?

OP posts:

TSSDNCOP -you’re confusing me with someone that actually cares about the background of the dead career criminal. I don’t.

Ditto

DownWithThatSortofTing · 11/04/2018 12:21

Why did you think that?

BECAUSE THEY THEMSELVES SAY THEY ARE! Seriously, what is your problem?

Alpine - the family are Irish travellers. They say so themselves as people keep trying to tell you.

Alpineflowers · 11/04/2018 12:25

BECAUSE THEY THEMSELVES SAY THEY ARE! Seriously, what is your problem?

Where?
I disagree with you, it isn't a problem, we just disagree. No need to shout

Mydoghatesthebath · 11/04/2018 12:26

I don’t see that it matters where they were born or what religion they are. The man who don’t was a nasty vile criminal.

It’s about time we stopped caring if a criminal is white British or Catholic or Muslim or Christian or black Asian or mixed race or white or bloody Jedi

None of this has any bearing on any crime ever. It shouldn’t matter snd it should never be an excuse to comit a crime or prevent the authorities from robustly investigating and prosecuting criminals.

SaucyJane · 11/04/2018 12:27

Bromley - £100,000 for tax payers to clear up this mess

Newport - £40,000 for the tax payer to clear up

Tooting - tens of thousands of clean up costs incurred in just three days

If we're talking about a civilised society, how civilised do these pics look?!

Unfortunately if certain people give so few fucks about others and actively break the law, I just don't think it's realistic to expect those who've suffered from living nearby to welcome others from the same group of people with open arms when they've seen and paid for the carnage firsthand once or twice before. Throwing around accusations of bigotry and racism against people's personal experiences just doesn't help.

Would posters like Down be keen to volunteer their garden or field for this? Because that's the risk taken by local tax payers or private land owners every time caravans come onto their site, unfortunately. These pics and the anti social behaviour that goes with them are why some people feel as they do.

(Although it goes without saying that if others in the same local area didn't propagate the cheap fly tipping, the mess would be hugely reduced. If someone knocks on your door offering to take away your old shite for peanuts, it's probably not going to be disposed of properly!!)

If they are Irish Travellers and have said so then I am wrong, but so far I haven't seen any evidence to suggest that they are.

DownWithThatSortofTing · 11/04/2018 12:27

I disagree with you, it isn't a problem, we just disagree. No need to shout

But its not something you can disagree with, you're just wrong.

Mydoghatesthebath · 11/04/2018 12:27

Irish Catholic it English Romany?? Who gives a fuck. It had absolutkry no bearing on that crime or their behaviour whatsoever

DownWithThatSortofTing · 11/04/2018 12:29

None of this has any bearing on any crime ever. It shouldn’t matter snd it should never be an excuse to comit a crime or prevent the authorities from robustly investigating and prosecuting criminals

Nobody is offering it as an excuse and it doesn't stop any investigating or prosecuting. It does however seem to make some people to be even happier that he's dead.

Mydoghatesthebath · 11/04/2018 12:33

Down

So you think people are happier that this scum bag is dead because he was a traveller? Really? No personally I couldn’t give a crap about his ethnicity or colour or religion as I am not obsessed with such things. It bothers me not. I am glad no other elderly couple are terrorised in their own homes.

Clearly that situation troubled you not. Thankfully the majority of people don’t agree with you and prefer to stick up for elderly and the vulnerable not the wicked and the strong

Alpineflowers · 11/04/2018 12:36

Mydoghatesthebath -Irish Catholic it English Romany?? Who gives a fuck. It had absolutkry no bearing on that crime or their behaviour whatsoever

As I said in my initial post, my point about the difference was 'probably off topic'.

DownWithThatSortofTing · 11/04/2018 12:38

Theres a lot of people here saying they are glad hes dead, and referencing how awful travellers are. You add it up.

Clearly that situation troubled you not. Thankfully the majority of people don’t agree with you and prefer to stick up for elderly and the vulnerable not the wicked and the strong

What a stupid point.Don't agree with me on what? What do you think I have said about the elderly and vulnerable? Because whatever it is, you invented it.

Rejoicing in someones violent death is not sticking up for the elderly and vulnerable. It's being a sick bastard.
Normal people, like me, can feel sorry for the elderly victims AND not be celebrating a violent death. It's not an either or equation, unless you are too stupid to see the whole picture.

GorgeousJaws · 11/04/2018 12:38

I wouldn't say I was happy he was dead, but it doesn't bother me either. Rather him than the homeowner. His ethnicity/religion/colour has no bearing on that.

Alpineflowers · 11/04/2018 12:39

DownWithThatSortofTing-But its not something you can disagree with, you're just wrong.

For fear of going off topic again, do you understand the difference between an Irish Traveller and an English Romany Gypsy?. Yes or no?

Lweji · 11/04/2018 12:45

If we're talking about a civilised society, how civilised do these pics look?!

We could discuss the civility of drunken British louts abroad and conclude all Brit should be avoided.

Mydoghatesthebath · 11/04/2018 12:45

Alpine understand Flowers

Down you attached my name to people rejoicing that he was dead snd were even more happy that he was a traveller.

I can’t see any posts saying that anywhere in the thread. You invented that completely.

Not caring someone is dead isn’t rejoicing. You also mentioned people wanting to give medals to the elderly victim. Again no one as far as I can see have said this?

You are quite rude arnt you? No one on this thread is ‘stupid’ they disagree and clearly hsve different ways of looking st situations to you. That’s the point of aibu.

Aeroflotgirl · 11/04/2018 12:45

It does not matter who the burglar was, Traveller or Oxford graduate, whoever, he was a criminal, unfortunately he died committing a crime, his death should just quietly be laid to rest. It is right the locals have taken down the memorials, it is an insult to the victim of the house he burgled. Unfortunately in his erm "occupation", getting harmed or killed can happen when victims try to defend themselves and their loved ones.

Mightymucks · 11/04/2018 12:47

saucyjane there’s been a camp in Orpington in Bromley since the 60s when they came fruit picking and stayed. Council tolerate it because it’s the poor end of the borough and they don’t want it in expensive places like Chislehurst or Petts Wood.

They’re basically happy to inflict all that on the most powerless members of their community.

DownWithThatSortofTing · 11/04/2018 12:47

For fear of going off topic again, do you understand the difference between an Irish Traveller and an English Romany Gypsy?. Yes or no?

Clearly I do, as I have made many comments saying I do. They are Travellers, you are being extremely odd insisting that you know better than every media outlet, every local resident, and members of the actual family, all of whom identify them as Travellers. And all because you think the name sounds more Romany than Irish? What is your agenda here?

Aeroflotgirl · 11/04/2018 12:49

My real sympathies lie with the poor victim, Mr Osbourne and his wife, he has to live with that for the rest of his life. His last years will be blighted by this, and I am angry that these criminals have done this to him, shame on them. They are the ones who should be ashamed, not Mr Osbourne. The criminals family are a disgrace, one can see that the moment this burglar was born his life chances were grately reduced. A family of criminals, what do you expect.

Springnowplease · 11/04/2018 12:54

From the Mirror-

"Tensions are growing at a shrine to stabbed burglar Henry Vincent outside the home of the pensioner who allegedly killed him.

Floral tributes left by the crook’s family at Richard Osborn-Brooks’ property had been repeatedly torn down by angry neighbours.

And Vincent’s family vowed to return to the home every day to replace the messages to “Henryboy” – as they mounted a vigilante guard nearby.

They even demanded an apology from Richard, 78, who is under police protection with disabled wife Maureen, 76, amid fears of revenge attacks after he was released without charge."

An apology? Really? Moral compass fail.

SaucyJane · 11/04/2018 12:55

Lweji - we absolutely could.

It would be irrelevant here, of course.

But you could start your own thread on it and I doubt many posters would disagree with you. I certainly wouldn't. If I holiday abroad, I try to avoid Brits as much as possible.

Mydoghatesthebath · 11/04/2018 12:56

They clearly have no moral compass or indeed morals. That’s clear
