To be massively pissed off with the Airbnb host?

We rented an Airbnb for a week somewhere nice and warm.

The description of the place banged on about how private it is and how she'd never come round and it not overlooked by anything.

The owners manual says 'please put bins out on Saturday'. That's it.

So aibu in thinking she should have fucking well mentioned the pool guys coming on a Monday?

Dh had taken ds off shopping so I was have a lovely relax on my own (for the first time since I got here) and removing some unruly minge hairs on the sun deck. I hear a chuckling and look up and there's one horrified looking pool guy and one horrified yet amused looking pool guy staring at me. Angry

I'm fucking mortified. I hadn't heard them turn up so have no bloody idea how long they'd been there. I was wearing a sundress but no underwear and I'm hoping to God they didn't see too much.

Now I'm hiding inside on the last day of my bloody holiday hoping they bugger off quickly. AngryAngryAngryAngryAngry

Haven’t you heard of a breeze?

Xeneth88 · 09/04/2018 22:08

That's disgusting. Use a bathroom!

Spiggle123 · 09/04/2018 22:09

I can't imagine doing this outside. In an unfamiliar place that's open for anyone to walk in - on purpose or accidentally - with obviously no locked gate.
Never in a million years. I'm flabbergasted. Why would anyone even 'want' to!?

Whisky2014 · 09/04/2018 22:11

Yeh you kind of deserve that embarassemennt tbh.

Sarahlou63 · 09/04/2018 22:14

That is plucking hairlarious!

Casmama · 09/04/2018 22:14

I’m afraid I’m with everyone else- that’s pretty gross and I feel more sorry for the pool guys than you tbh.
I could have done without the image.

stolemyusername · 09/04/2018 22:14

I think that regardless of what you were actually doing it would have been courteous for the owner to let you know to expect someone. When it's just DS and I at home I strip off next to the pool after a swim as we're not overlooked, I don't do this when I know the pool guy is due for obvious reasons!

TheJoyOfSox · 09/04/2018 22:14

Surely pube pruning is a bathroom activity?

This, I’m embarrassed for you op, but it’s your own fault!

BoomBoomsCousin · 09/04/2018 22:15

Bit embarrassing Shock!

Pool guys will probably pressure AirBnB host to inform guests in the future. But yes, she should have told you! You don't have to have been pube gardening to have wanted a heads up that strangers would be letting themselves in on a Monday. Just a skinny dip or some naked sunbathing would have most people feeling caught out. All you can do is hide away in the house until they're gone and drink lots of wine.

Viviennemary · 09/04/2018 22:15

Nobody does that. do they??

EveningHare · 09/04/2018 22:17

🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢

Longdistance · 09/04/2018 22:17

OMG! Why are you doing this by the pool? This should be done in the bathroom. Puketastic 🤢

Duck90 · 09/04/2018 22:18

I’m with other posters. How is popping them on tissue a guarantee against, even, a slight breeze.

Nicknacky · 09/04/2018 22:18

I don’t think this post has went the way you thought it would, has it op?

NickyNora · 09/04/2018 22:18

lightcola · 09/04/2018 22:20

Hilarious

Avasarala · 09/04/2018 22:21

I get the annoyance. It's a private rental with a private pool. If it had been a couple without a child, then nude swimming or nude sunbathing, pool/patio sex etc could have all been happening. The fact is you booked for privacy, and someone walked in on you doing something private. If they have people coming, you should know about it.

You're not being unreasonable in expecting privacy in your secluded and private accommodation which you were still paying for when they came in to work.

BadTasteFlump · 09/04/2018 22:21

Actually, in OP's defence, plucked minge hairs do stick surprsingly well to loo roll - or so I've heard...

MarthasGinYard · 09/04/2018 22:21

Ugh Grim

MayFayner · 09/04/2018 22:22

Wtf. What is "alfresco veet" Confused

I don't think any of this is the fault of Air BnB host.

BrightYellowDaffodil · 09/04/2018 22:22

Where next, the self-checkout aisle of Waitrose?

TheDinosaurRoars · 09/04/2018 22:23

Isn’t this the kind of thing you sort out before going on a pool holiday and behind locked doors where nobody can see you?!

ThePinkOcelot · 09/04/2018 22:23

Ewwwwww. Seriously?!

HollyBollyBooBoo · 09/04/2018 22:25

So gross! Why would you do that outside?! Surely it's behind a locked bathroom door!
