Answer the door

Put the bins out.

Go down to breakfast in someone’s house.

Go down to breakfast in a hotel

Early morning dog walk

Go to the shops.

Do the school run.

??

I would (and do!) do all except the last three because I am terminally lazy and rarely dressed before noon if I don’t have to be. AIBU and a dreadful skank?

@IIlustriouslyIllogical lots of things. Especially now I'm on holiday. It's glorious.

IIlustriouslyIllogical · 05/04/2018 12:33

@RebelRogue no,that's not what Facebook is for.

So what do you think all those people that are staring at you are thinking/doing whilst you shuffle down the vodka aisle in your slippers looking like a dogs dinner?

They're certainly not thinking "Wow, look at how cool & relaxed she is".

So put your bloody clothes on & you won't have to worry if your photo has been put on "Ch*vWatch".....

Chrisinthemorning · 05/04/2018 12:34

The first 3. Definitely not the others- and I love in PJs at home.

mishfish · 05/04/2018 12:34

I’ve had clients pop over when I’ve been in my PJs before Blush

RebelRogue · 05/04/2018 12:36

You're funny.Grin

windchimesabotage · 05/04/2018 12:38

illustrously I would get fully dressed if I were actually going out for a long period of time to a shop. If I were just walking down the road to the corner shop at 9pm because if forgotten to get enough milk or something, then no I would not get fully dressed. Same for bins.

'Personal pride and dignity'
'normal people'

You sound like loads of fun to know.

brownelephant · 05/04/2018 12:40

sleep
breakfast at home before getting ready for the day

RebelRogue · 05/04/2018 12:44

@IIlustriouslyIllogical but before you explode with your nonsense assumptions and stereotypes...
1.I don't actually own pyjamas.

  1. I online shop
  2. I don't drink.(except on a rare night out)

But keep making an ass out of yourself.Grin

CowesTwo · 05/04/2018 12:45

I only ever saw one person come down to breakfast in a hotel still wearing night attire. I was eating my toast and OH said 'is that woman wearing a nightie, or some kind of summer frock?' I looked over and there was a young woman in a slip-style nightdress and bare feet, standing at the hot buffet.

paddlingwhenIshouldbeworking · 05/04/2018 12:56

Last 4 definitely not. 3rd (breakfast in someone's house) depends on who's house and circumstances. Mum & dads, definitely, sisters' maybe (prob not if BILS there), friends from uni, maybe (depends who's there), other friends, no.

paddlingwhenIshouldbeworking · 05/04/2018 13:01

*mentioned no pyjamas at breakfast with BILS not because they're men but because both sisters married to super-organised beings who treat breakfast as the 'Start. Of. The. Day' and when staying we'd be off for the days activity immediately......yawn.

MilkTrayLimeBarrel · 05/04/2018 13:02

I don't wear pyjamas to sleep in but even if I did I would not dream of going outside the house in them. I don't answer the door if I don't have make up on either!

BusterTheBulldog · 05/04/2018 13:11

Bleurgh. First two only. Just get dressed!

Thebirthdayparty · 05/04/2018 14:04

Yes I get dressed before going to the shops. I wouldn’t nip out for milk wrapped in a towel after my shower or drive to the swimming pool wearing only my swimsuit either. To me there is no difference between any of those things.

Catspaws · 05/04/2018 14:07

Definitely wouldn't go down to breakfast in a hotel or to the shops in them!

I get up, shower immediately, and dress before I do anything else so I really don't do anything except sleep in pjs. I would answer the door in them (and a dressing gown) though if needed.

RoseWhiteTips · 05/04/2018 14:08

Great look...

Well, I'm not willing to risk being suspended, so I won't say what that makes you in my eyes!!

IIlustriouslyIllogical · 05/04/2018 15:01

You're funny.

I know, I'm well known for being a lot of fun Grin

You should see my Facebook posts - lots of people to poke fun at!!

Tainbri · 05/04/2018 15:01

Sleep and housework. My mother used to do the school run in her dressingown and I'm scarred for life from it! Grin

MajestyRoyal · 05/04/2018 15:03

You lot need to get loungewear, the comfort of pyjamas but socially acceptable to wear outside Grin

BlackeyedSusan · 05/04/2018 15:04

be in hospital as a patient.
go to apyjama party
be in your own home and garden. dressing gown or coat for front garden

be in the hotel room.
be evacuated from anywhere in the middle of the night.

bluebeck · 05/04/2018 15:08

Only the first two, and I would be covered up by an enormous dressing gown over the top.

I wouldn't do any of the others.

Going downstairs to eat in a hotel? Are you really serious???? Shock

speakout · 05/04/2018 15:08

For those of you that like to wear PJs outside during the day- what do your kids think of it?

My kids would be horrified if I picked them up at the school gates in my PJs.

catinapoolofsunshine · 05/04/2018 15:09

None of them. Unless you're ill or a child or have just had a baby, in which case the first one (answer the door) and maybe take the bins out if absolutely necessary.

I don't really understand not showering and dressing as part of the process of getting up though; why drag it out? That applies even more if you're in someone else's house!

speakout · 05/04/2018 15:23

I wouldn't enjoy my day wearing last nights bed clothes and feeling dirty.

To me getting up/showering/ clean clothes are part of the process that energises, refreshes and gets my started for the day.

Even if I am feeling tired an sleepy an nice hot shower and lather up/ hair wash turns me into a new person.

It's that dramatic. By the time I have my clean clothes on, hair dried and a tiny bit of make up then I am ready to take on what the world has to throw at me.

Slopping around in PJs till lunchtime would have me feeling dull, lethargic and grotty.

I don't want to waste my day feeling like that.
I like to feel clean refreshed and energetic- life seem is more exciting that way.
