To be devastated at the demise of the Labour Party, and to wonder how anyone can look at themselves in the mirror if they vote for Corbyn now?

Just that really.

Been a Labour supporter all my life, til the last election. Because hell will freeze over before I will vote for Jeremy Corbyn.

I am literally devastated at the demise of the Labour party, that has been systematically destroyed from the inside out, by Corbyn and his cronies, and by Corbyn's pathetic behaviour. From his denial of bad behaviour from his party, to the way he shuts down anyone who challenges him. (Including reporters, and his own people ..... if they don't agree with everything he says, he sacks them.)

In the last election, for the first time ever in my life, I was unable to vote, because I am not voting for Conservatives. (Even so, if I HAD to vote by law, I would vote for Conservatives before I would vote for Labour.)

The Labour party is dying a slow and painful death, and is a laughing stock. First of all we have the standing joke that is Corbyn, with his bizarre 'extreme-left' bollocks, and refusing to answer any questions that don't suit him, .......'Mr Corbyn what about the antisemitism in in your party?' 'YES it is a nice day isn't it? Thank you, goodbye!' Fucking twit! Hmm

And then we have his ludicrous and laughable cronies... Diane 'can't count for toffee' Abbott, Monroe 'bigoted ranty' Bergdorf, and now Eddie fucking Izzard in a dress. Hmm

Even people I know who were obsessive Corbynites a year or so ago, are cringing with embarrassment now, as he turns the party into more of a laughing stock every day. And as I said in the thread title, how can anyone POSSIBLY support him and the Labour party now?

That's it really. I am literally so gutted at the demise of my party.

Until Corbyn fucks off and takes his cronies with him, Labour is dead to me. And I know a LOT of people who think the same!

R.I.P. The Labour Party. 😢😢😢

Are you serious @bertrand PMSL? The crazy amount of shit he promised that he was no WAY going to be able to deliver. His figures did not add up AT ALL

Totally agree op it’s appalling and very sad but nothing new. We need another fighter like Kinnock who managed to chuck out militant tendency in the 80s and make labout electable again.

It’s really only the kids who don’t remember or really understand Corbyn won’t cancel their tuition fees and the old dye hard left wing nut jobs who back labour now. Can you imagine Dianne Abbott and Emily Thornbury in top jobs. Jesus Christ they are as incompetent as they are ridiculous. Oh and racists of course.

Wish wish Yvette cooper or Hillary Ben could take over.

Teateaandmoretea · 02/04/2018 09:57

I don’t want to fucking compromise. I want to stand up and be counted. I want to look at the bigger picture and make a stand. I want to be part of a party with some integrity.

In that case I suspect the only answer is to set up your own.

Gabbyleo · 02/04/2018 09:58

I'm no big fan of Corbyn myself. It think is policies are great apart from when it comes for foreign affairs. However putting him down constantly is playing into the Tories hands. I believe OP is a Tory puppet trying to cause drama online. Constantly using bullying tactics on those who are providing the responses they want. No type of behavior is too low for a Tory.

Schnauzermum2 · 02/04/2018 09:58

I absolutely agree. Although I’m natuaralky more to the right I think the country benefits from changing stance from left to right and back every few years. It maintains balance. By labour moving so far to the left it automatically makes politics in this country more polarised and opens up the possibility of the right moving further to the right (luckily to date the torques haven’t done this to any great extent but has lead to a more extreme right wing movement and probably helped fuel Brexit). I believe Corbyn (or more accurately momentum) is one of the biggest threats to democracy this country has faced in this century. He is a man not open to other people’s perspectives, he surrounds himself with yes men and is so ideaologicalky driven he is complete ill suited to any leadership. - misntvthe quote something along the lines of to secure a dictatorship - ensure a revolution? - Corbyn Labour Party are basically the run up to 1984 with all their double think, and thought crime. Bloody scarey that people can’t see this!

snowagain · 02/04/2018 10:00

@theduchessstill

For the people accusing me of hurling childish insults, I am only giving as good as I get, to the people accusing me of being a bigot, a nasty tory, and a daily mail reader etc.

Anyone who says they have changed their mind now, based on me throwing a few insults out to people throwing them at me, is a bit pathetic to be honest, and shows they clearly don't know their own mind.

I am not biting any more though, and am ignoring the baiters, so no more insults shall be hurled from me to them.

I hope you are going to bash THEM for hurling insults at me though.

I'm waiting.......

@Tweetiepie1000

Yes, the fact that the "lifelong Labour voter" couldn't distinguish between Labour achievements in power and Labour's last manifesto was a bit of a give away.

PS I'm still never voting for Corbyn!

Gabbyleo · 02/04/2018 10:01

How can Tories all attack the people but never the policies?

All of this. Well said. Yvette Cooper needs to take over the dreadful Corbyn IMO. To save this dying party.

It's OK. I recognised your list. Op, she's talking about the achievements of the last Labour governments, not Corbyn's promises.

Surely Tony Blair hammered the nails into that coffin? I mean no one, not even Trump and Satan are worse than Blair.

Gabbyleo · 02/04/2018 10:05

Lol Yvette cooper! Ed balls will be her downfall. We need a real democratic socialist. I'm sick of these centre-left neocons. Whoever Blair supports I'm against.

That is lovely @tweetiepie1000 talking about Theresa MAY like that.

I hope the people bashing me for 'hurling insults' are going to chastise tweetiepie!

You will make yourselves look very silly if you don't Wink

OK- pick your favourite 3 ludicrous statements and let’s talk about them.

gussyfinknottle · 02/04/2018 10:08

Tweetie. Some people are just not that into him. They are not all Tories. I'm glad you feel passionately about stuff. In a democracy, we disagree with stuff. People who disagree with you aren't Tories.

snowagain · 02/04/2018 10:08

Too many to choose from @bertrand

Feel free to google 'shit Corbyn says' there will be plenty.

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 10:08

Snow Yvette has conducted herself so well through all this hasn’t she. She hasn’t tried to stab Corbyn in the back but confronts the difficult issues in the labour camp of racism and mysogyny with dignity and resolve. I really admire
her.

It’s incredibky sad. Labour are needed more now than ever before and the incompetence and chaos on the labour front bench is mind blowing. His actions following the Salisbury attack and on holding this government to account on Brexit are disgraceful.

Madness utter madness

Tweetiepie1000 · 02/04/2018 10:08

That’s not an insult, it’s an observation.

Megatron · 02/04/2018 10:09

A grown-up debate about politics on the internet? Get real.

Well, some of us can manage it on account of being adults and actually caring about the issue.

Gabbyleo · 02/04/2018 10:09

BertrandRussell

Don't bother it's just a Tory plant trying to stir up hatred for Corbyn. Tories are incapable of having an honest debate when it comes to policies so take personal jabs instead. Taken out of the books from the orange twit across the pond!

stitchglitched · 02/04/2018 10:09

I agree with you OP. I am nearly 40 and have voted labour in every single election since I've been old enough to vote, including the last one. But there is not a chance I will vote for them again in their current state and with Corbyn at the helm. And the claims that anyone who doesn't worship at the altar of Corbyn or dares to feel disillusioned by Labour must be a bot or Tory in disguise is just tiresome nonsense and one of the things turning so many supporters away.

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 10:10

Tweetie

What a disgusting post. I can see you probably condone the anti Semitic views of some labour voters. You should be ashamed of yourself.
