To be devastated at the demise of the Labour Party, and to wonder how anyone can look at themselves in the mirror if they vote for Corbyn now?

snowagain · 02/04/2018 08:56

Just that really.

Been a Labour supporter all my life, til the last election. Because hell will freeze over before I will vote for Jeremy Corbyn.

I am literally devastated at the demise of the Labour party, that has been systematically destroyed from the inside out, by Corbyn and his cronies, and by Corbyn's pathetic behaviour. From his denial of bad behaviour from his party, to the way he shuts down anyone who challenges him. (Including reporters, and his own people ..... if they don't agree with everything he says, he sacks them.)

In the last election, for the first time ever in my life, I was unable to vote, because I am not voting for Conservatives. (Even so, if I HAD to vote by law, I would vote for Conservatives before I would vote for Labour.)

The Labour party is dying a slow and painful death, and is a laughing stock. First of all we have the standing joke that is Corbyn, with his bizarre 'extreme-left' bollocks, and refusing to answer any questions that don't suit him, .......'Mr Corbyn what about the antisemitism in in your party?' 'YES it is a nice day isn't it? Thank you, goodbye!' Fucking twit! Hmm

And then we have his ludicrous and laughable cronies... Diane 'can't count for toffee' Abbott, Monroe 'bigoted ranty' Bergdorf, and now Eddie fucking Izzard in a dress. Hmm

Even people I know who were obsessive Corbynites a year or so ago, are cringing with embarrassment now, as he turns the party into more of a laughing stock every day. And as I said in the thread title, how can anyone POSSIBLY support him and the Labour party now?

That's it really. I am literally so gutted at the demise of my party.

Until Corbyn fucks off and takes his cronies with him, Labour is dead to me. And I know a LOT of people who think the same!

R.I.P. The Labour Party. 😢😢😢

I could almost bring myself to vote Labour again if he only got rid of Abbott and McDonnell.

Poor judgement. Can't trust him with the country.

But won't be able to bring myself to vote Tory.

Tweetiepie1000 · 02/04/2018 10:11

Honestly you can vote for who you like, I may agree or not but what I have a problem with is people coming on in the guise of being a disgruntled Labour supporter when actually they have never voted Labour in their lives and are trying to drum up support for their own causes.

GalwayGalery · 02/04/2018 10:11

I am really embarrassed that I voted for Labour/JC at the last election. I actually cringe now when I see him being interviewed and feel a slight wave of shame. (In my defence though, I'm Irish, if I was British I would never have even considered it because he really doesn't seem to like the British.)

snowagain · 02/04/2018 10:11

@gabbyleo Corbyn doesn't NEED anyone to turn anyone against him sweetie, he is making a perfectly good job of that himself......

As you were....

@stitchglitched

I agree with you OP. I am nearly 40 and have voted labour in every single election since I've been old enough to vote, including the last one. But there is not a chance I will vote for them again in their current state and with Corbyn at the helm. And the claims that anyone who doesn't worship at the altar of Corbyn or dares to feel disillusioned by Labour must be a bot or Tory in disguise is just tiresome nonsense and one of the things turning so many supporters away.

Great post! ^

Ok, tweetie. I tried nice.
Grow the fuck up.

BamALamA · 02/04/2018 10:12

We need a Labour leader who will get things done. Look at the times Yvette Cooper's destroyed the Tories from the backbenches while Corbyn's been waving his "letter from Mary in Morecambe".

And as someone who saw her family living in poverty despite all being in work under the Tories in the 1990s, if that's another Blair/Brown combination then bring it on.

I can only assume those who compare him to Trump and Satan are too young to remember what Thatcher and Major's Britain was like.

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 10:12

Gabby

Ed balls isn’t in Parliament. Why would he be her downfall? She’s a very good MP in her own right. The mysogyny there is breathtaking

Tweetiepie1000 · 02/04/2018 10:12

I am absolutely ashamed of myself and chastise myself daily.

surferjet · 02/04/2018 10:14

you hooked nosed old hag

Nice. Hmm

You and a million others. I have spoken to many people who wish they could take their vote back, now they have seen Corbyn for what he really is. I also cringe every time I see him. He is an embarrassment, Don't beat yourself up though. We all make mistakes. Smile

Fucking hell.

SaucyJane · 02/04/2018 10:16

It feels like:

Anyone who would vote for the current labour shower is economically clueless and has no qualms about making the UK unbelievably uncompetitive and unattractive for business and investment in an era when the world is shrinking and there has never been so much competition.

Anyone who would vote for the current Tory shower is socially clueless and has no qualms about throwing the most vulnerable in society under the bus whilst selling off the last few British assets to line the pockets of a few MPs.

Anyone who would vote Lib Dem is happy to take a massive gamble at a critical time in Britain's social and economic history in allowing a lot of governing virgins to take over with few experienced people and no tried/tested experience of running the country. They also need to be willing to ignore the party's current position on women.

I mean, seriously. What the fuck. 66,000,000 people in the country, and this is as good as it gets???

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 02/04/2018 10:16

'Eddie fucking Izzard in a dress' is nasty. Makes you sound like a bigoted Tory.

No, it makes her sound like a bigoted labour supporter

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 10:16

Well I remember Thatchers Britain thankyou and we had that because Labour tore itself apart under Foot and then regrouped under Kinnock. Then became electabir under Blaire.

Sounds familiar???? We are at the Foot stage god help us.

I suspect posters telling others they are tories and never actually voted labour havnt a clue about what life used to be like in the 70s/80s. That’s why thru can’t see the damage Corbyn will do to the party and the country.

BadLad · 02/04/2018 10:16

Well, some of us can manage it on account of being adults and actually caring about the issue.

Caring about the issue is not the, er, issue.

The problem is that almost nobody goes into an internet politics debate open to changing their views or having their views challenged.

Hence they always descend into name-calling, whataboutery, goalpost-moving, attempts to shut down debate etc etc.

The bloody politicians themselves can't even have grown-up debates, unless PMQT has changed since I last saw it.

snowagain · 02/04/2018 10:17

@surferjet

I know right. These far-left Corbynites bash me for hurling a few childish insults, and then one comes on here and viciously attacks theresa May.

None of the Corbynites have had a go at HER for being nasty though.

Couldn't make it up could ya?!

Pretty standard behaviour for these people.

OP posts:
Tweetiepie1000 · 02/04/2018 10:18

Yes bacause I think Theresa May has ruined everything good in our country and believe the old witch has used the most underhand of ways to do so must make me a Jew hating, Neo Nazi.

When Theresa May allows people the ability to live with dignity then I will give her all the respect she deserves. Including apologising for calling her a hooked nosed old hag.

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 10:19

Well Tweetie how sad that you feel able to use terms like this.

Have you read about Germany in the 30s? If not educate yourself. If you are a labour supporter please understand that language like this is vile.

crunchymint · 02/04/2018 10:19

I was totally against Corbyn becoming Leader, really don't like the man at all.
BUT he did way better at the last election than anyone predicted. The first job of any party is to get elected.

theduchessstill · 02/04/2018 10:19

How enormously frustrating it must be for talented people like YC to be stuck on the back benches watching their party self-destruct. What a fucking waste. It's painful to think what could be achieved now if Labour had its best people to the fore.

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 10:19

crunchymint · 02/04/2018 10:21

Tweetie do you not realise your misogyny and anti semitism is showing?

Firstworddinosaur · 02/04/2018 10:21

I'm a Labour member. I'll vote Labour. I genuinely think Corbyn has changed the political landscape for the better wether you agree with him on things or not. People are passionate again.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 02/04/2018 10:22

Well lets put it this way Id certainly never be voting for those Tory twats.
and LibdeMs are an even bigger bunch of circus clowns so as far as I'm concerned. Yes I agree labour are no where near perfect, but There's no other choice

Gabbyleo · 02/04/2018 10:22

You can't have stood honest debate with Tories. Heck the right in general. Just look at how brexit was run. Look at trump! All succeed by name calling. Not actually talking about the policies and important issues. Time to movie on from this and start talking about this things that matter! Our NHS is collapsing. Homelessness is surging. Nurses having to go to food banks. Brexit is a disaster. This antisemitism debacle is the least of our worries.
