To be devastated at the demise of the Labour Party, and to wonder how anyone can look at themselves in the mirror if they vote for Corbyn now?

Just that really.

Been a Labour supporter all my life, til the last election. Because hell will freeze over before I will vote for Jeremy Corbyn.

I am literally devastated at the demise of the Labour party, that has been systematically destroyed from the inside out, by Corbyn and his cronies, and by Corbyn's pathetic behaviour. From his denial of bad behaviour from his party, to the way he shuts down anyone who challenges him. (Including reporters, and his own people ..... if they don't agree with everything he says, he sacks them.)

In the last election, for the first time ever in my life, I was unable to vote, because I am not voting for Conservatives. (Even so, if I HAD to vote by law, I would vote for Conservatives before I would vote for Labour.)

The Labour party is dying a slow and painful death, and is a laughing stock. First of all we have the standing joke that is Corbyn, with his bizarre 'extreme-left' bollocks, and refusing to answer any questions that don't suit him, .......'Mr Corbyn what about the antisemitism in in your party?' 'YES it is a nice day isn't it? Thank you, goodbye!' Fucking twit! Hmm

And then we have his ludicrous and laughable cronies... Diane 'can't count for toffee' Abbott, Monroe 'bigoted ranty' Bergdorf, and now Eddie fucking Izzard in a dress. Hmm

Even people I know who were obsessive Corbynites a year or so ago, are cringing with embarrassment now, as he turns the party into more of a laughing stock every day. And as I said in the thread title, how can anyone POSSIBLY support him and the Labour party now?

That's it really. I am literally so gutted at the demise of my party.

Until Corbyn fucks off and takes his cronies with him, Labour is dead to me. And I know a LOT of people who think the same!

R.I.P. The Labour Party. 😢😢😢

You're deluded. Allowing the Tories to carry on taking this country to the dogs! All because you 'don't like Corbyn'. Have you been seeing how much damage they have been doing to this country or don't they talk about this type of stuff on the daily mail?

snowagain · 02/04/2018 09:46

@Gabbyleo

yes dear...........if you say so dear....

I was typing a post but MinnieMousse said exactly what I was going to say in a much more coherent way.

snowagain · 02/04/2018 09:46

@gabbyleo

How about you pop off and make a cuppa and leave the talking and debating to the adults???

NewYear2018 · 02/04/2018 09:47

Q Who owns the Sunday Times? Do you trust them to produce an unbiased news report because I don't.

The lies, fake news and innuendo coming out of the right wing press is disgusting. Repeating it here is just as reprehensible.

Still, I suspect it helps deflect criticism of the Tory government from the unfolding Cambridge Analytica debacle.

GreenItWas · 02/04/2018 09:48

I often think how amazing it all could have been had John Smith not died.

snowagain · 02/04/2018 09:49

@lalahead

Yeah minnienousse said pretty much what I, and many others are thinking....

@minniemousse

I had high hopes when Corbin became leader but he's been a disaster. He provides no opposition to the government, which should be a walk in the park given how weak they are. Momentum has such a stranglehold that it alienates more moderate left-wing voters and the current responses to the Russia situation, the Antisemitism charges and the trans debate are doing nothing to win those voters over. The hard left might not care about that, but if the Labour party cannot get elected it condemns us to Tory rule for the foreseeable future.

As above. How anyone can vote for Corbyn/Labour now just baffles me!!!

So promising that brexit will make the UK better, richer and more prosperous is perfectly fine. wanting to improve our NHS give doctors, teachers and other public service workers better pay is 'outlandish and crazy'. Just admit that you're a Tory brexiter troll

BamALamA · 02/04/2018 09:50

@springnowplease2018

I'm sure if Blair etc were still in they'd keep austerity cuts. It's the nature of politics at the moment.

You're probably right, but it is another of Corbyn's double-speaks that he promises to help the poor while also vowing to keep the austerity measures that hit the poor the most.

And the NMW was very much a New Labour achievement. It is still not mandatory across the EU - only 18 of the 27 remaining countries have it.

Labour achieved great things in power. We shoot ourselves in the back by turning on our own. If a Labour member can't bring themselves to say something positive about those years, then why should we expect anyone else to and see why they should vote for us?

MinnieMousse · 02/04/2018 09:50

You're deluded. Allowing the Tories to carry on taking this country to the dogs! All because you 'don't like Corbyn'. Have you been seeing how much damage they have been doing to this country or don't they talk about this type of stuff on the daily mail?

Interesting. I see it as Corbyn allowing the Tory party to take the country to the dogs because of his hopeless leadership.

Spoog1971xx · 02/04/2018 09:50

Thanks for that OP. Now you've saved us from a fate worse than death you can get back to BBC news and your copy of the daily mail

Megatron · 02/04/2018 09:51

How about you pop off and make a cuppa and leave the talking and debating to the adults???

I was almost with you OP, but this kind of shit tells me you just like a scrap.

It would be nice to have a grown up debate about this, but you've just shown that's not really what you're after.

ForalltheSaints · 02/04/2018 09:51

I have voted Green for the last few years because the Labour Party has left me and my views, and as the Smiths once said 'says nothing to do with my life'. The lack of real action against anti-semitic comments by some members is just another reason.

Joanna57 · 02/04/2018 09:51

Corbyn needs to stay as leader, for as long as possible.

As leader he is doing the Tories a massive massive favour.

Long live Corbyn.

Jazzybeats · 02/04/2018 09:51

See they don’t teach sarcasm in Tory school 😂

snowagain · 02/04/2018 09:51

snowagain. I agree with you that Corbyn is a disaster.

I think the way you are talking to other people on this thread is pretty nasty.

gabbyleo of course we could choose as a country to spend more in public services. I completely agree with you AND I still loathe Corbyn because he will never win an election and needs to get out if the way.

BadLad · 02/04/2018 09:53

It would be nice to have a grown up debate about this, but you've just shown that's not really what you're after.

A grown-up debate about politics on the internet? Get real.

VeronicaLodge · 02/04/2018 09:53

I see it as Corbyn allowing the Tory party to take the country to the dogs because of his hopeless leadership.

Me too. May is appalling, her Brexit team are worse than woeful. There is a huge open goal through which Corbyn should be firing a barrage of goals. And yet.........nothing. He is the Tories greatest asset at this moment in time. Nodding meekly at every unfolding facet of the Brexit fuck up. Enabling their ineptitude.

snowagain · 02/04/2018 09:54

I am not 'out for a scrap,' but the wanky-assed 'you are a daily mail reader,' and 'a bigot and a tory' comments, are pathetic and laughable.

Grow the fuck up. Just coz someone is disillusioned with the LABOUR party that they have supported all their lives, that does NOT make them a fucking TORY and a daily mail reader. So bore off with those stupid fucking comments. It makes you sound pathetic and immature.

Any more comments like that will be ignored ... coz they are not worth my time.

“NO-one has come out with stuff as ludicrous as Corbyn! not ever”

Sure about that? What sort of thing are you talking about?

Tweetiepie1000 · 02/04/2018 09:55

I’m confused why anybody is feeding the right wing Conservative dressed up as a disappointment Labour voter.

Ohforfoxsakereturns · 02/04/2018 09:56

GreenItWas - he was the last leader for me.

I try not to look at the bigger picture anymore. Things that touch me:NHS, poverty, education - I still think Labour are needed. I find adopting a blinkered approach makes it palatable. I have found a compromise with which I can tell myself I am comfortable - vote with a local view, withdraw my support at Party level. But even with this tactic, I can’t ignore their misogyny and how they are treating women.

I don’t want to fucking compromise. I want to stand up and be counted. I want to look at the bigger picture and make a stand. I want to be part of a party with some integrity.

theduchessstill · 02/04/2018 09:56

I regret posting in agreement with the op. Although I agree that Corbyn is a disaster, op's inability to distinguish between new labour's actual achievements and Corbyn's manifesto, along with the childish insults he or she is now hurling, makes me suspicious of their motives.
