To be devastated at the demise of the Labour Party, and to wonder how anyone can look at themselves in the mirror if they vote for Corbyn now?

Just that really.

Been a Labour supporter all my life, til the last election. Because hell will freeze over before I will vote for Jeremy Corbyn.

I am literally devastated at the demise of the Labour party, that has been systematically destroyed from the inside out, by Corbyn and his cronies, and by Corbyn's pathetic behaviour. From his denial of bad behaviour from his party, to the way he shuts down anyone who challenges him. (Including reporters, and his own people ..... if they don't agree with everything he says, he sacks them.)

In the last election, for the first time ever in my life, I was unable to vote, because I am not voting for Conservatives. (Even so, if I HAD to vote by law, I would vote for Conservatives before I would vote for Labour.)

The Labour party is dying a slow and painful death, and is a laughing stock. First of all we have the standing joke that is Corbyn, with his bizarre 'extreme-left' bollocks, and refusing to answer any questions that don't suit him, .......'Mr Corbyn what about the antisemitism in in your party?' 'YES it is a nice day isn't it? Thank you, goodbye!' Fucking twit! Hmm

And then we have his ludicrous and laughable cronies... Diane 'can't count for toffee' Abbott, Monroe 'bigoted ranty' Bergdorf, and now Eddie fucking Izzard in a dress. Hmm

Even people I know who were obsessive Corbynites a year or so ago, are cringing with embarrassment now, as he turns the party into more of a laughing stock every day. And as I said in the thread title, how can anyone POSSIBLY support him and the Labour party now?

That's it really. I am literally so gutted at the demise of my party.

Until Corbyn fucks off and takes his cronies with him, Labour is dead to me. And I know a LOT of people who think the same!

R.I.P. The Labour Party. 😢😢😢

Right wing press again oh dear yawn

Justanotherlurker · 03/04/2018 14:59

The [Tory] government owes £1.8 trillion, up from about £1 trillion in 2009/10.

So many people fail to grasp Deficit and Debt and how they correlate... and it's usually those who like to make a lot of Whatabout statements.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 03/04/2018 15:04

There was a Tory campaign with the slogan “we’ll cut the deficit not the NHS”. Failed promises.

We could talk about the rise of food banks, zero hour contracts etc as well. Given that there are no Tories here and people are just showing concern for the “plight” of Labour

gussyfinknottle · 03/04/2018 15:08

I don't care about Tory lies. It doesn't make me want to vote Labour with Corbyn at the head. That's how shit he is and how shameful it is that they can't make a decent Opposition with a view to being the next government. It's on him and his idiotic acolytes.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 03/04/2018 15:11

Well start a thread about food banks, zero contract hours and so on

This thread was started by someone who feels despair at the plight of the Labour Party

As I do

But believe it or not I can feel anger at other issues but I don’t actually expect more from the Tories but I do from Labour and that is why it is so frustrating

GhostofFrankGrimes · 03/04/2018 15:16

We all have frustrations with politics unfortunately. Nothing stopping you voting from another party. JC has been elected by the membership. As a previous poster has said it’s not presidential you vote for a constituent MP and party not a leader at general elections. I voted Lab prior to JC.

merrymouse · 03/04/2018 15:17

Yes Bertrand, I believe some members of the Labour Party are Holocaust deniers.

The left wing of the Labour Party have a particular problem with anti-semitic agitators because tropes about Jewish bankers hide behind anti-capitalism’ (the mural) and bigotry is justified as critiscism of Israel.

However, rather than dealing with the problem the Labour Party has ignored complaints, suggesting that training and apologies are a sufficient solution and indulged in whataboutism. The problem isn’t just a few nutjobs, it’s people who stand for council seats.

Corbyn has a particular problem because he has so many enablers who believe that he can do no wrong.

Mydoghatesthebath · 03/04/2018 15:20

Of course Tory policies are flawed and deeply disturbing but that doesn’t make labour under Corbyn credible or sensible does it?

Ffs it’s not one is brilliant while the other is pants.

Both are pants. But this thread is about labour supporters worried about the state of the party.

Again you just insist it’s all Tory smearing snd the right wing press.

Grow up do

GhostofFrankGrimes · 03/04/2018 15:25

I haven’t “insisted” anything. What I have suggested is that sections of the media have played a large part in smearing JC, as they do with most Labour leaders.

Mydoghatesthebath · 03/04/2018 15:26

Yes well unfortunately most sensible people did and will vote for the other party so because of Corbyn snd his slavish supporters the tories will go on and on and on lily thatcher did.

Your cult admiration blinds you to the plain fact that a party has to have a credible leader most voters can trust not just those who allresdy support him.

Every successful leader understands the need to reach out to the majority not just the hard left minority.

And come the next election don’t rely on the kids, the tuition lie won’t wing it again

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 03/04/2018 15:26

I did in the last election vote for a different party but a party that will never lead the country unless in a coalition

I have never felt such frustration with politics the utter incompetence of Labour when it’s been handed to them on a plate over and over again to hold the Tories to account and failed and as for Brexit what have they been doing all this time

beardymcbeardy · 03/04/2018 15:29

Boo hoo for all those so called 'true' labour supporters who have so easily managed to switch their vote to Tories as what seems to be happening in Scotland. Makes you wonder how true they really were to Labour's values.

snowagain · 03/04/2018 15:31

I am actually in shock with the denial of the deluded Corbynites.....

'OH, but that never HAPPENED with Labour, they never LEFT us billions and billions in debt, and a note saying 'No more money in the bank.' Yeah right OK then dear! Confused

It's actually terrifying how deluded they all are.

Thank GOD that Corbyn has ZERO CHANCE of becoming Prime Minister, and the deluded and bizarre minions in his cult are dwindling fast. This thread hardly has any to be fair, and I am literally not conversing with them any more. They're batshit.

Everyone is trying to convey their despair at how the Labour Party has gone to shit, and how they cannot tolerate Corbyn, and all we're getting (from the few batshit cult members) is 'YEAH BUT the TORIES...........'

Utterly pathetic.

As I said, they are best ignored. They are too thick-skulled to see any other point of view, or listen to a SINGLE negative thing about Corbyn. I have seen plenty of people criticise the Tories (me included) including a few people who support them, but these Corbyn fangirls have a meltdown if you criticise their messiah. As I said; weird and disturbing. VERY weird and disturbing. Confused

I literally cannot converse with such stupidity and ignorance. And utter utter denial. And the constant insistence that the media have made him look bad is laughable. Corbyn doesn't NEED anyone to make him look bad, and useless, and pathetic. He is quite capable of doing that himself.

Just one more thing Minions... 'look at the picture I attached.....' Still holding on to that denial?!

To be devastated at the demise of the Labour Party, and to wonder how anyone can look at themselves in the mirror if they vote for Corbyn now?

GhostofFrankGrimes · 03/04/2018 15:32

Labour have only been in power under Blair/Brown in the last 37 yrs. One critical thing for Blair was winning Murdochs support; that was absolutely vital.

Corbyn would never win the support of the right wing press. If he’d have opposed Brexit they’d have had a field day. There has been little evidence of a major swing from leave to remain so not clear he would have won more votes on an anti Brexit ticket particularly given what happened to Lib Dems

I think the election said more about people happy to continue with austerity tbh, which is fucking depressing.

squoosh · 03/04/2018 15:32

The SNP lost a significant number of votes last time around. How can you be sure some of their former voters didn't defect to the Conservatives also?

GhostofFrankGrimes · 03/04/2018 15:34

Snow, chill out. The note was a joke, ill advised as it was.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 03/04/2018 15:35

Well I personally won’t vote for Labour while they are being led by someone who it has always been questionable who he shows his support to and the question of him being anti semetic has arisen over and over again, even if he himself isn’t he certainly he has certainly showed support and favour with people who are

But neither did I vote or will vote Tory

GhostofFrankGrimes · 03/04/2018 15:36

SNP banged on about independence referendum after Brexit which will have turned off a lot of jaded/fatigued voters.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 03/04/2018 15:51

We also forget that Milliband was not elected in 2015. He is about as middle of the road as they come. As I say it appears enough people are happy with austerity, probably people like snow who enjoy economically illiterate rants on message boards. Internet is full of them.

JessicaJonesJacket · 03/04/2018 15:53

snow for a recently disillusioned Labour supporter, it's odd that you're blaming Labour for the banking crisis and the deficit. I've never met a Labour supporter in RL with that view.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 03/04/2018 15:54

I smell a disingenuous OP tbh.

Mydoghatesthebath · 03/04/2018 15:54

beardy

No it’s actually boo hoo for proper labour voters the millions of people who need a proper Labour Party again. It’s a disaster for the country

GhostofFrankGrimes · 03/04/2018 15:57

What is a proper Labour supporter? How snobbish.

Mydoghatesthebath · 03/04/2018 15:57

Blaire won Murdock support when it was clear labour were the credible power heading for a landslide victory.

Don’t underestimate what Blaire did to make labour electable cos that’s really the point.

Getting voted into government. Not carping from the sidelines as Corbyn was happy doing all his political life. Abbott included

JessicaJonesJacket · 03/04/2018 15:58

Ghost it's always interesting to see how long it takes before they resort to using caps, exclamation marks and some dodgy 'facts' Wink
