To be devastated at the demise of the Labour Party, and to wonder how anyone can look at themselves in the mirror if they vote for Corbyn now?

Just that really.

Been a Labour supporter all my life, til the last election. Because hell will freeze over before I will vote for Jeremy Corbyn.

I am literally devastated at the demise of the Labour party, that has been systematically destroyed from the inside out, by Corbyn and his cronies, and by Corbyn's pathetic behaviour. From his denial of bad behaviour from his party, to the way he shuts down anyone who challenges him. (Including reporters, and his own people ..... if they don't agree with everything he says, he sacks them.)

In the last election, for the first time ever in my life, I was unable to vote, because I am not voting for Conservatives. (Even so, if I HAD to vote by law, I would vote for Conservatives before I would vote for Labour.)

The Labour party is dying a slow and painful death, and is a laughing stock. First of all we have the standing joke that is Corbyn, with his bizarre 'extreme-left' bollocks, and refusing to answer any questions that don't suit him, .......'Mr Corbyn what about the antisemitism in in your party?' 'YES it is a nice day isn't it? Thank you, goodbye!' Fucking twit! Hmm

And then we have his ludicrous and laughable cronies... Diane 'can't count for toffee' Abbott, Monroe 'bigoted ranty' Bergdorf, and now Eddie fucking Izzard in a dress. Hmm

Even people I know who were obsessive Corbynites a year or so ago, are cringing with embarrassment now, as he turns the party into more of a laughing stock every day. And as I said in the thread title, how can anyone POSSIBLY support him and the Labour party now?

That's it really. I am literally so gutted at the demise of my party.

Until Corbyn fucks off and takes his cronies with him, Labour is dead to me. And I know a LOT of people who think the same!

R.I.P. The Labour Party. 😢😢😢

Yes, Bertrand, we'd have a Labour government. - a completely batshit one. Nobody wants rid of the Tories more than me but I can't vote for this bunch of tossers.

WhalesOfYore · 03/04/2018 11:55

But if Labour gets in and he isn’t, then the party will elect a new leader and we’ll at least have a Labour government.

Are you really so desperate for this gaggle of far-left circus freaks to seize power? It's not just Corbyn - McDonnell will be in charge of our money, and Diane Abbott our national security. God help us all!

C8H10N4O2 · 03/04/2018 12:04

He refused to share a Remain platform with Kinnock, Blair and Brown. Even when they came back and said that they could speak on the same day in different cities, he refused. His office sabotaged Labour Remain throughout and John McDonnell sent a message to Labour Leave saying, 'Keep up the good work'.

Yes for me this was unforgiveable, the mixed messages coming from the Leader's office did have an impact and undermined the supposed official position. I lost count of how many times I had his preference for the Brexiteers like Skinner cited back at me.

Mo Mowlem made it happen. A dead woman who isn't around to show him up for his lies.

Yes just once, I'd like to hear the current leadership of her own party acknowledge her importance in this instead of pretending it was all miraculously brought about by a generally ignored back bencher.

DropItLikeASquat · 03/04/2018 12:26

I will vote labour as my local MP is amazing and is 100% what we need here. Im on the fence about JC but IMHO he's no worse than TM.

Mydoghatesthebath · 03/04/2018 12:35

He really is inept isn’t he.

merrymouse · 03/04/2018 12:54

How many PMs have had a successful leadership challenge in their first term after winning an election?

Mydoghatesthebath · 03/04/2018 13:02

True Merry but if he’s in then can’t the MPs get rid of him as they have long wanted to? Nothing to do then with the party members?

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 03/04/2018 13:19

Won’t he have to step down

I wouldn’t be surprised if a leadership contest is engineered he wins again to show show us all how popular he is and to try and shut those who are critical of him up Hmm

And becuase those that are jot supportive of him are leaving the party he will win again

Mydoghatesthebath · 03/04/2018 13:20

Yes that sounds par for the course Enthusiasm

Very depressing

snowagain · 03/04/2018 13:33

@gussyfinknottle

Ghost. You only see bad stuff about the Tories. You refuse to see bad stuff about JC. Guess what? Some of us can see it about both of them.

We hold the leader of the Labour Party to a higher standard because he should be of a higher standard. It is the minimum you expect. I don't give a shit about how morally and intellectually poor the Tories are. I will never vote for them.

THIS in spades. Very well said. And it pretty much sums up how I feel!

I have said clearly, time and again, (including in my OP,) that I would never vote for tories, and the more sensible and logical people on here (who are not breathtakingly narrow-minded and refusing to see anyone else's viewpoint,) can see that.

Just because someone is pissed off with Labour right now, and thinks they are falling apart, and loathes Jeremy Corbyn, that does NOT make them a Tory, or a Bigot, or a fucking 'Daily Mail reader' and I am sick of the ranty lefties on here spouting this shit! It's so predictable and tedious.

And their constant REFUSAL to hear ANY criticism of Corbyn is so weird. They are like a cult. Confused I am more than happy to admit the Tories are not perfect, and they have often only worked for the wealthy and solvent, and they have screwed the poor with bedroom tax and cutting disability benefits and other benefits, and don't even get me STARTED on the NHS!!! And although something needed to be done to stop people spending their life on benefits, or playing the system, the measures were too harsh. So no WAY would I vote for the Tories.

But TBH Labour have been as bad in SOME ways in recent years, because they are squander funds we don't have, (to try and please everyone, and give everyone what they want,) putting us massively into debt!!!

I give up even trying to talk to the extreme lefties now. They are brainwashed and so thick-skulled, that they see their only their point of view.

@BertrandRussell

I'm not a Corbyn supporter. .

You sure are defending Mr Corbyn for someone who isn't even a supporter of his... Wink

Op I agree with your post except your referral to Bertrand I find her/his posts unfailingly balanced and thoughtful even though I may not agree.

The rest of your post is just how I feel though. No political party to vote for.

snowagain · 03/04/2018 13:41

Oh I am not saying her posts are bad, just that she defends corbyn a lot for someone who claims to not be a fan. Wink

Womans Place UK had a meeting with Dawn Butler, and the names of people who attended have been leaked.

It was a trap upstart ?

BertrandRussell · 03/04/2018 13:52

“You sure are defending Mr Corbyn for someone who isn't even a supporter of his..”

Am I? Fair enough if that’s what you think.

Have you ever had a fixation with tanks and lawns, by the way?

snowagain · 03/04/2018 14:03

@BertrandRussell

have you ever had a fixation with tanks and lawns by the way

WTF??? Confused

Is that aimed at me? What an odd thing to ask!

Yes absolutely it’s appalling

JessTessMess · 03/04/2018 14:32

Me too, the first time I’ve not hoped for a labour victory was the last election. The tories don’t have much talent at all, it’s outrageous that labour couldn’t field a team that could beat them, especially given Brexit, they should’ve scooped up the remain vote and romped home but they didn’t because of tbe current labour leadership team.

NewYear2018 · 03/04/2018 14:33

Snow you are repeating rubbish again. What you said above is not true. I don't why people keep on repeating this myth.

The [Tory] government owes £1.8 trillion, up from about £1 trillion in 2009/10.
source

It was caused by the recession just after the 2008 crash which was caused by the prime lending debacle in the States, a global downturn and too many banks that had to be bailed out by the taxpayers. Plus higher welfare spending because people had no work.

And BTW Labour has not been in power since 2010.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 03/04/2018 14:45

Snow, if you don’t like jibes about tabloid brainwashing stop peddling bollocks about benefits and Labour/Tory economic record. It’s straight out the tabloid play book.
