Is this creepy?

Chatting to someone new on tinder and we exchanged numbers. He’s a bit drunk and just messaged saying “now I’ve got your number the dick pic will follow!” Before saying “sorry that was a joke, I don’t get why people do that! Has it happened to you before?!” It made me feel a bit weird, too far or just banter?

Looks like a joke as most times i’ve had a dick pic there was no warning just ‘there it is!’

My usual response is ‘oh that’s not really up to the job is it!’

I was going to say it was nerves or a poorly judged joke, but the fact he only joked about after you made it clear you werect interested in them does make me wonder if he was testing the waters and then backed down.

Could be either one.

Clearly a joke, and as has been said, on tinder light joking and banter (with the possibility of quick, one off hook ups), are standard. Maybe try one of the dating sites that advertises careful matching of interests etc if you don't like the joking around (or the previous guy who never got back in touch). It wouldn't guarantee they'll always be great guys, but at least the overall aim might be a better match for what you want.

I think he seems genuine. He’s trying to be funny but it has fallen a bit flat. You’ll soon work out if he’s an arse otherwise.

I think they send dick pics because a lot of men are so fascinated and totally besotted with their penises that they can't believe women aren't too. They think that sex begins and ends with how big it is, how long it stays up and how hard it gets. It really is, often, their only erogenous zone.

But then again, I don't expect a picture of a brain would get them all that many dates either.

I just noticed your reply to his test, musing whether there's a female equivalent....I think that sends quite a mixed message tbh! You're encouraging him to get into a longer chat about what intimate photos a women might send, so please don't call it creepy if he actually answers that!
A complete change of topic would have been better if you don't want to talk intimate photos Hmm.

If he'd sent one and then said it was a joke, that would be shit. He's made a joke. It's fallen a bit flat. Give him a chance and if he turns out to be an idiot you don't have to have anything to do with him.

Whenever I got a dick pic I used to text back "oh it looks like a penis. Only smaller". Then block.

He's joking! I'm pretty prudish but honestly this seems fine to me. If he was the kind of person who sent dick picks he'd just have done it!

I think it sounds like a joke... and probably that he is trying to tell you he is one of the 'good guys'.

I personally wouldn't be bothered by this in this context. But if he kept going on about 'dick pics' I would quietly block.
