@laurahill88 sore but enjoying not having to cook tea. Can't lift either. Or do washing. Grateful for family.

Fruitbowl2 · 31/03/2018 18:48

Mumofkids I would cry if I paid for a hol like that and it rained!

Pavlova - maybe, I guess if they did all the sports stuff, wowsers.

Fruitbowl2 · 31/03/2018 18:50

Yes bothered I have destinology holidays running along the bottom of my screen a lot too!

InternetSchminternet · 31/03/2018 18:51

I've not read this thread for a day or so and just had a quick scan/catch up. It's so bloody tedious!

At first I thought CadyHeron and Sofialemon were on here trying to slow the thread down but I've come to the conclusion you're actually attempting to keep the thread going for as long as possible - it's the only reason your're posting again and again and again. You're just adding pages and pages onto the thread and you will be the reason it becomes a 5th thread and I can't get my head around the logic if you really think there's nothing left to say. If you leave it to descend into what you think it will descend into it will fizzle out.

I'm unwatching now as I think the points were been succinctly pointed out (and then lost in pages of shit) days ago

CadyHeron · 31/03/2018 18:54

Internet, whenever we try to discuss points or answer points raised when people ask a question, it becomes apparent that people really don't want to know at all.
We were even posting to each other and you get people jumping in with insults and inane comments. It's really quite bizarre.

Mumofkids · 31/03/2018 18:56

I think some posters just love to wind things up and it can become hard to stay on track. There's nothing wrong with going 'oh god another holiday' a moan doesn't have to be bitchfest.
I really like the rock too 🙈 There's lots of easy accounts to follow. And chefs. These people quite clearly are porting there book or show or movie. But it's obvious.

Tired there were plenty of other useful points made. The stuff by Jam about how the influencer advertising works etc. Those were just random comments.

ISaidIWasTired · 31/03/2018 19:08

I know there were and I agree with most of them just feel no one can properly discuss or take it seriously as it's peppered with personal and defamatory comments. Shame.

jamoncrumpets · 31/03/2018 19:08

I thought I contributed some useful stuff. Maybe you just didn't read it.

Fruitbowl2 · 31/03/2018 19:10

You did Jam.

Fruitbowl2 · 31/03/2018 19:12

Tired it's just a chat forum. People keep commenting about the instas 'taking us a seriously' - we are not a vanguard. The only press that ever comment on MN threads is the Daily Mail.

Fruitbowl2 · 31/03/2018 19:13

putting them in a summary makes it even worse, surely.

laurahill88 · 31/03/2018 19:16

@mumofkids make the most of it whilst you can! Swift recovery to you Smile

ISaidIWasTired · 31/03/2018 19:16

Yes I get that. I guess I'm just trying to highlight why people are getting angry and upset over this discussion. Those kind of comments can really hurt.

laurahill88 · 31/03/2018 19:20

I agree @isaidiwastired, the personal comments are completely unnecessary. I saw some about a blogger in the last thread (which got deleted in the end as it turned so vicious) which were awful and completely irrelevant. I hope she didn’t see them as it must have been awful.

Fruitbowl2 · 31/03/2018 19:21

I'm pretty sure those 2 are wisely not reading this. Don't worry too much Tired.

Mumofkids · 31/03/2018 19:23

@fruitbowl2 I think that summary might cause more problems than the entire rest of the threads.
I'm a bit confused about chat forums, I just thought it was a chat where different opinions and views were voiced. Not everyone agrees on everything. And who cares if someone thought a couple were happier in their previous house than they are now. And if an instaparent has said a year ago they couldn't afford nursery, then someone saying the kids are now in nursery and private school indicates a huge upturn for a business. That's not defamatory. If they didn't put this info out their for public consumption, then people wouldn't know to discuss it. I've no idea where DLAM's kids go or their names, I've no idea where Harper Beckham goes to school, their parents manage to share them without those factors. People do seem to get dreadfully upset about business being discussed.
These people and accounts are influential and there are some positives. They've been discussed too. It seems to a reader that with recent changes accounts are being more respected.

ISaidIWasTired · 31/03/2018 19:30

Well if that's the case then Mumofkids then why bother hiding behind the 'discussion' of complying with ASA guidelines and child protection issues?!

Why not just call the thread 'let's enjoy dissecting the lives of instamums because it's fun' and be done with it,

allaboardtheallergybus · 31/03/2018 19:32

Bloody nora this is still going.

Just re read what ISaidIwastired posted is that what has really been discussed?

Also as a long time follower of MOFOD I have never ever seen a mention, name, location of the school their kids now go to school in Kent.

A few threads back (I’ve lost track which) someone who knew the area they lived quoted how much their kids school fees are. Now I’m no detective here but someone on this thread has gone out of their way to find out the name and fees of this school. But how do you know what school is it? Aren’t there several private schools in a Kent? It starts to beg the question about who are the posters on this thread? Do your kids go to this school because I really haven’t ever seen anything that would indentify their kids school. And as much as you judge these parents for their parenting I doubt even they would be so stupid to reveal that kind of information

Mumofkids · 31/03/2018 19:34

Isaidiwastired that digressed from the underlying topics. I'm just saying, I don't care what people want to talk about, but I genuinely joined conversation about use of children and the fact ads were and probably still are hidden. Many of the points I've covered involved children and their use and exposure which to me equates with child safety issues, and alongside that them earning money which is not regulated.
If someone wants to come on and go 'oh god so and so is so annoying' that's ok too. The thread topic is am I being unreasonable instamums.

Mumofkids · 31/03/2018 19:35

@allaboard photos in their new school blazers...

ISaidIWasTired · 31/03/2018 19:38

Allergy - several posters are worried about how this information can and might be found by weirdos. They are so concerned about other people's kids safety, that they have publicly posted about it therefore highlighting it - for the weirdos 🤔

allaboardtheallergybus · 31/03/2018 19:43

ISaidIwastired - I see! So by being worried in the safety of their own home they took the time out of their day to find out this information for our benefits and then post it online? Just to make a point?

Dozyoldtwonk · 31/03/2018 19:46

Can I add Topshop Jonie jeans to the checklist, & anything from ASOS.

Also, Joules anything.

You definitely can’t be an Instamum without Topshop Jonie jeans.
