I live in a gff neighbour has a 'device' outside their window (above my bedroom) which is basically like a clothes airer. Neighbour hangs washing out on this, and the washing hangs down into the view of my window! Currently neighbour has a bed sheet hanging down which is covering a large portion of my window. Aibu to not want to see neighbours washing hanging down into my window? I would take a picture but it would be identifying if they are on here. I've actually never seen one of these devices before and they are the only flat that has one. Anyway aibu to be annoyed and would this bother you. When it's windy like today it even bats against the window.

Would anyone really want to sleep with the laundry flapping against the window all the time? That would be disturbing

Ninabean17 · 23/03/2018 05:54

How is that even getting dry, right next to the building?! Speak to them op!

MyOtherProfile · 23/03/2018 06:00

Please tell me you are going to speak to them. This could be a small matter so easily dealt with.

I would go upstairs, say something along the line of, you hate to complain but... and show them the picture and ask them to hang their line somewhere else.

Eliza you live in the flat above don’t you? You recongised the sheets

And you knew it was her bedroom window 😂😂

Grin She stated in the OP it was her bedroom.

No, I'm not her neighbour, I just don't see the issue with it being a bedroom window. You don't sit gazing out of your bedroom window do you. I'd understand the fuss if it was a living or kitchen room window but who needs a view from their bedroom? Other than teenagers that never come out of them.
