This is a quote of Napoleon Bonaparte. Napoleon has a number of quotes when Read through the lens of Trump are eerily prescient. Napoleon wasn’t of the same political bent as Trump necessarily, and he was certainly more cerebral, but the lust for power is the same.

Here's the Gallup Polls news release:

news.gallup.com/poll/231224/teachers-prioritize-gun-control-prevent-shootings.aspx

The 7% figure doesn't surprise me in the least, especially if they included teachers from private schools. Many private schools here are church run and many of those are of an 'evangelical' or 'very conservative' philosophy so the idea of carrying a gun would probably be met less unfavorably in the schools of the 'evangelical' bent. I'm in the US, so public schools are required to be absolutely non-religious, private schools can do what they want as far as faith based studies go.

I thought a bit about it and although I graduated decades ago I could think of at least three teachers/administrators at my US public High School that I believe would have been willing to carry a gun. That worked out to 6% of staff.

Trump’s Russia probe lawyer John Dowd resigns

The departure comes amid a larger shakeup of the legal team handling the Mueller investigation.

Trump lawyer John Dowd was not happy with the hiring of Joe DiGenova, and members of the legal team were not happy with Dowd's statement on Saturday about ending the Mueller probe. Decision to leave was "mutual," @PamelaBrownCNN reports

Something extraordinary just happened on the floor. Republicans closed the vote while democrats were yelling they wanted to vote. Steve Womack — budget chair — was in the speakers chair. Rule passes 211-207. This on top of less than 24 hours to read a bill.

This is rare. Majority usually gives the minority time to vote. Instead, knowing they may vote no, they pushed through before 11 Dems could cast their ballot.

Republicans say this isn’t a big deal. Dems were trying to delay the vote, they say. I watch the floor every day and I’ve not seen that.

And, truth be told, all sides are happy about the outcome.

And again, WTAF?
