Aibu to think he’ll struggle coming back from this (Ant)

What a stupid boy. Worth 60 million and doesn’t get a taxi. I just don’t know how he’ll come back from this latest fiasco (drink drive car crash hits 3 year old).

Yes I think sometimes we forget that in many ways he is a childstar - UK based yes but still he has grown up in the business and it takes a lot of people down.

Being a double act cant help either though as presumably he feels responsible for Dec as well.

Although their relationship has also seemed very stressed recently - you could tell Dec was just waiting for this to happen as well

I think they will come back from this.

There is simply no one like them on TV and they are loved by millions, whether some MNers like it or not.

The family he crashed into. What if that was their only transport What if they need it to travel to and from work?

a lot of people couldn't care less about the other occupants of the 2 cars including the 3/6 year old child, you even have the likes of Lorraine glossing over the accident saying poor ant nothing about the other drivers

a friend of mine had a minor shunt in her car her 2 children were scared for months when being driven

I Agree. It was my first thought when I heard - to me drunk driving is the worst as I have had friends die in a crash caused by a drunk driver. Even if it had been the morning after, he should’ve known he still was over the limit.
Dec is going to suffer too. It’s one thing Ant being admitted to psych clinic for painkiller addiction, but to potentially harm others is terrible. Who will be sympathetic to that?

Except that it was an innocent family who got it.

I hope this is going to be serious rehab now, not another token week or two. I'd rather not see him back on TV this year - for his sake.

I really hope Ant learns from this, and starts to recover.

And yes, I just discovered his mom was with him (and his dog,) and they are OK, and so are the others involved in the crash. A few injuries, and a little girl hurt, but will be OK thank GOD.
