I should have been a high powered lawyer but was not clever enough so have been in supply chain for 15 years.

I’m part time medical secretary at a GP surgery- really means just booking appointments and sending referrals off to hospitals. Should have been a vet nurse or a police officer.

Frustrated volcanologist here. Or civil engineer (transport mainly, love bridges and subways but I didn't even know these jobs existed until I was much older).

Unfortunately year 9 geography was purely human (Favelas of brazil anyone?) and my science education amounted to 2 hours a week copying from a textbook.

So instead I'm a teacher who runs STEM clubs.

Doctor. I really regret not trying hard enough / being bright enough. I think about this on a regular basis. I wish I could go back and shake my teenage self. If only I had not allowed myself to get distracted and tried harder at school. Ok I might not have achieved the grades but at least I would have known I'd given it my best shot. It's a regret I will always carry with me.
