AIBU to think that the ladies are disgusting

I’m fed up of walking into the ladies toilets into restaurants let alone bars or pubs and finding the ladies toilets littered with toilet role and what I am assuming pee! Why can’t anyone wipe or put it down the toilet/bin?!?

There is no excuse for the state of public toilets, most are cleaned often enough so it is just a case of people being foul and disgusting. It's shameful and, as usual, the selfish minority spoiling things for the rest of us.

I don't even understand wtf they are doing to create such a mess, some people are just filthy - and they are the ones who don't wash their hands too!

@Enwi I'm similar and find furniture stores tends to have the more acceptable toilets. I avoid supermarket ones at all costs!

Not on the walls, but yes agree about ladies loos. What the hell is wrong with some women!? Wee all over, toilet roll everywhere, not flushing and bloody old women farting and smelling the place out....sometimes it literally makes me gag..

Worst was when I was in a toilet and the person in the next cubicle said out loud "uugghh, there's period juice all over the seat" it knocked me sick.

I still think that men's smell much worse.

If your finding the lavatory filled with toilet roll and pee, you’re probably going to the grottiest of establishments. I honestly can not remember the last time I found anywhere with paper or pee and I visit my local Wetherspoons at least twice a week.

Someone once puked in the sanitary bin at my old work ... not realising I’d have to empty it then as the sanitary people refused.

WTF? I have never seen this in my entire life.

I went into the men's by accident once, and there were skid marks in every toilet pan. Actual shit on one seat. I've never complained about the ladies since!

Occasionally there might be an unflushed loo or a drop of wee on the seat...but nothing like some are describing

Unisex bogs are usually the same...except some man had got wee all over the back of the toilet

Although I will state my worst toilet experience was when I worked in a nursery and a little boy was spraying the bowl with diarrhoea and peeing on his shoes at the same time. I think that's uniquely male.

Luckily my hero another employee volunteered to clean up.

Sometimes the women's toilets can be a bit gross but in a pub or restaurant etc just mention it and it will be cleaned.

A cop once told me that the more disgusting a restroom is, the more likely it was done on purpose to protect a drug drop. Smear enough blood and poop on the walls and no one's going to want to come in, and the transfer can be made safely.

Blimey I’ve been running pubs for 20 yrs and have never seen period blood smeared on the walls! The ladies though are usually a lot messier than the gents with toilet paper everywhere as well as make up detritus etc.

There was a couple of days in one pub when due to a plumbing issue we had to close the gents and make the ladies unisex, I'd never seen the toilets so clean at the end of the night. It seems when there are men seeing the mess suddenly the women are much better at tidying up after themselves.

Safe to say worst that no one has weed on my head while i have been in the ladies

In other news, years ago I worked in a big bookstore. One night I was pulling shots at the coffee bar when the manager came in to demand one of us go clean the crap off the walls of the ladies room. "Seriously? You want the people who handle food to clean up feces?"

That was a big ol' no.

I cleaned hospital toilets for a summer. The men's were far more disgusting. I don't know who these period-sprayers are, thankfully never encountered one

I think it must depend on where the toilets are (and whetter alcohol is involved?), because I used to clean shop toilets and the men's were always way worse (piss on every wall/floor etc), women's were fairly clean.
