To wish a CBEEBIES character DEAD

Bing: some kind of child rabbit with a weird old man sock puppet who follows him around as his full time carer. For the uninitiated, his escapades mainly involve him whinging and moaning about some shit like dropping an ice cream or finding a weird potato or wanting a plaster...
Surely THE most annoying TV character ever to be dreamt up. He's such a whiny little nobhead! Unfortunately my almost 1 year old bloody loves him. Sometimes it's the only way I can get her to eat her tea, by having this idiot on the tele.
He makes me feel genuine anger.
Give me Peppa any day of the week over this needy dickhead.

I was prepared to say yabu but fair play, Bing? YABcompletelyR. I’ve never made it through an episode. Thank the lord mine have moved on from CBeebies...although I’m not sure that ‘Sam and Cat’ or iCarly is an improvement..

I hate Bing but my DS (2) is obsessed.

My favourite bit though is the one where Bing doesn't get on the toilet train with all the others and then inevitably wets himself (how did Flop not see that coming?! Has he met Bing?)

And then when she had to clean up the mess and Bing says something like "I tried to hold it", Amma says "oh you tried did you?" in the most sarcastic voice ever. It's probably the only time one of the ineffective adults lets their guard down.

FlashThe Sloth. These are absolutely brilliant. I particularly like the one about Mummy's hangover.

Anyone remember the best show CBeebies ever aired - Space Pirates? I was so pissed off when they replaced it with the horrible Zingzillas with its wierd Ibiza beach bar take on kids' entertainment and its teethgritting sexism...

Cannot stand Bing. The worst bit is where he trips over in the intro bit and he and one of his twatty little friends say "Yah", "he's okaaay" in the most stuck up, precocious voices ever. Listen out for it next time, it'll make you want to smash the TV up before you even get to whatever's a "Bing thing" that day.

Don't understand Little Roy at all. Why have none of the family noticed that he's a cartoon?

My grandson loves Bing, but he's only 1. I don't know if there's any children's character I would kill but have been advised to avoid Peppa pig

So I think the Bing theory is that children are more important in their own worlds that’s why they are bigger, more detailed and er... clothed? Which does make sense with the “It’s a Bing thing” it’s like when a kid shoes you what they just figured out to do like it’s the most amazing thing.

I loathe Bing and Flop, but whether I hear Flop's voice, my mind immediately wanders to Mark Rylance in that film "Intimacy", where what he put in Kerry Fox was certainly not a "Flop".

My 18 month old has never seen Bing because, like many above, I hate that he doesn’t speak properly. We only watch CBeebies on iPlayer so I am hoping that he never learns of his existence. Do you reckon that’s possible? LOVE the Twirlywoos though, and Duggee.
