I often walk around in shorts and a crop top at home, I do on and off exercises all day as soon as I get the chance so don't want the hassle of having to change.

My neighbour has just stopped whilst I was emptying bins and told me that herself and DP can see through my window sometimes and maybe I should put some more layers on. I have nets up but no curtains or blinds. Maybe popping out emptying bins in small clothing is U? I've never even considered it!

I am so embarrassed she said something yet so pissed off feels she has the right too. I've gone all self conscious that they are now going to be monitoring my clothing for levels of appropriateness.

So do I layer up or go out naked next time? ShockBlush

Oh I hope it's not H perving.

That's so offputting.

Naked squats out, nun outfit it is.

The more you wear, the more you sweat, the more you burn. Maybe they are just trying to encourage me to work my hardest Grin

This feels like the opening to a bad softcore porn movie.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 05/03/2018 15:34

You're in your own house. You can walk around naked upside down if you like.

She shouldn't be nosing through your windows.

lils888 · 05/03/2018 15:35

Oh but I love it. I'm up at 5 and in bed around 10 - 6 hours isn't too much. And it's a mixture of cardio and weight training as well as being a part time PT. I'm not just running on the spot for 6 hours straight.

And I often have a day or two off, it sounds crazier than it is.

OP posts:
Nikephorus · 05/03/2018 15:35

You can wander round in your underwear if you want. (Never understood the desire to wander round naked). How much are they concentrating if they can see you through nets well enough to have a problem with you?! Or do you press yourself up against the window through the net? Grin
Definitely H perving.

amusedbush · 05/03/2018 15:36

6 hours A DAY? I'm agog even after you've explained that.

Celebelly · 05/03/2018 15:37

I'll bet it's because she doesn't want her husband/partner looking Grin Definitely don't change what you wear in your own house because of some miserable cow.

Also I wondered how long it would take the 'Oh working out six hours day sounds OTT, boring, ridiculous' brigade to appear. I think it sounds bloody impressive, quite frankly! Good on you!

guiltynetter · 05/03/2018 15:38

surely this is actually a stealth boast about how much exercise the OP does? i can’t imagine anybody telling somebody what they could wear in their own house 🤔

lils888 · 05/03/2018 15:39

It's a hobby and part time job, 6 hours a day seems appropriate for that.

5-7 hobby

1-3 hobby

5-7 work

TurtleCavalryIsSeriousShit · 05/03/2018 15:40

Yes, good on you. I think I might steal your way of doing it Grin

Keep it up Flowers

foodtime · 05/03/2018 15:40

It’s great your feeling body confident OP. You should be able to wear what you want in your own home, but it seems your slightly enjoying the attention/drama? Otherwise wouldn’t you just shut your curtains or cover up where you know people can see you?
Also I would slightly judge someone going outside almost naked, male or female. It’s just classless and quite common. I wouldn’t say anything though.

lils888 · 05/03/2018 15:41

Yes I just want to impress strangers with my workout routine - because no other person in the world works out like I do.

The 'boasting' was explaining why I'm always in the clothing. And also a self little kick up the butt when I realised that I have no reason to be embarrassed.

OP posts:
FranticallyPeaceful · 05/03/2018 15:41

My guess is she’s caught her partner having a bit of a lingering look at you and she’s mad. It’s your house, maybe tell her to put some plants outside rather than looking in your house. Nosy bitch shouldn’t be looking through your window.

FranticallyPeaceful · 05/03/2018 15:42

I’d be tempted to walk around in a babydoll or some super sexy undies from now on

FranticallyPeaceful · 05/03/2018 15:43

... yknow, if I wasn’t a 29 wk pregnant whale Grin

And also wasn’t podgy

And also my boobs had more going for them

And also if I wouldn’t generally scare everybody to death.

Otherwise yep, I’d be doing it

lils888 · 05/03/2018 15:43

I don't want curtains or blinds, my living room is already very dark due to the way it faces the sun. I popped out to dispose of a nappy. Butt covered, boobs covered , even my belly button is covered.

If legs, arms and a little bit of abdomen is classless then I'd hate to be you in summer

OP posts:
lils888 · 05/03/2018 15:46

She could only see in if she really tried to. It's not a huge window and I have nets.

I am embarrassed but I don't think I should be

OP posts:
MySockIsWetAgain · 05/03/2018 15:47

Shorts and a crop top are not inappropriate. AND you can wear whatever you want in your own house. Your neighbours are out of line.

PositivelyPERF · 05/03/2018 15:47

Get a male stunt double to do squats in the window, wearing your clothes. If his tackle happens to escape I don’t think you’ll be getting lingering looks from them onwards. 😜

Eliza9917 · 05/03/2018 15:49

I'll bet she's caught her husband perving too.

WellThisIsShit · 05/03/2018 15:50

I would wonder why you continued not to have curtains.

Nets in the dark with lights behind them just give a soft focus glow to everything, and don’t afford any privacy at all.

But in the day when it’s lighter outside than inside it’s obviously fine.

Sooo, my preoccupation would be about your curtains rather than your clothes!

I guess I’d wonder whether you realised your home was not a private space when the lights changed round at night, and whether that was part of your philosophy of living, or a window dressing error :)

Riverside2 · 05/03/2018 15:51

it's your home
it's fine

sometimes I split my workout into 2 different sections of the day and I don't get changed. I'm not wearing shorts but tough luck to them, shorts are a perfectly okay item of clothing.

someone in my building training for the marathon and she's also having to split runs before and after work so could be collecting post or putting out rubbish while wearing her running shorts.

Dagnabit · 05/03/2018 15:54

Is this a stealth boast? Wink

MyBrilliantDisguise · 05/03/2018 15:54

If you're in the NW, contact me! I need a PT!

iammargesimpson · 05/03/2018 15:55

Good for you OP, it's your house and if they don't like it, they don't have to look!!
I had a similar incident, doing yoga in my small front room and my neighbour mentioned it one day. Now for him to see in that window (tinted) he is possibly going to have to use binoculars as our housemate opposite each other but a really good distance away. When I told my dh he told me to close the curtains, why the hell should I?
