What are your thoughts about this?

instant lack of respect sets in if there are 7 craft/real ales on the bar and you go for a Guinness

Is any one of those 7 beers a stout? Maybe she just fancies a stout.

Very often there's a huge selection of beers that are pale yellow and hoppy and nothing brown or black or malty or stouty.

Order exactly what you feel like I say.

My partner used to go out with her brother and his mates before I came along and hence got used to the taste of beer as the lads would just order X number of pints at the bar!! lol
I don't drink but my dad does and loves beer. Many times we bumped into dad in the local and he and my partner would just sup the night away.
Brilliant.
Dads got a real soft spot for her and she likes dads company.

If a girl wants to drink beer then good luck to her. Each to their own I say.

I love my local pub! Had two pints last night....one a porter, one a ruby ale..... they don’t sell lager or spirits but still plenty of us ladies go in there for our pints of real ale or cider (real cider from a cask).

If you like a pint of beer, then have it, best to be yourself on a date. You want him to like you for you. He's not going to think you're blokey unless you wear men's clothes and talk about cars, football and tits all night.

perhaps in my original post i should have probably said generic keg product vs guinness. However still stand by my comment that too many people have no clue how to keep Guinness. It’s not how it’s served so much as how it’s kept
