Has anyone put up a post and gotten upset when they have been flamed by people on here? Do you take it to heart?

I had some really horrible and upsetting comments once. I was recently bereaved, my mum had just died, only a few days earlier, and I was upset because someone in my family was sneering about something she'd wanted at her funeral. I'd had a difficult and upsetting relationship with my mum, she could be very unkind, but she'd had some rotten things happen in her life, she was still my mum and I'd just seen her die a painful death, so all the feelings were very raw and complicated. But apparently to two or three posters I was 'the golden child' which is actually the opposite of what I was, ironically. I still feel quite angry with them. Some people who have taught themselves a little bit of self help and cod psychology can do a lot of damage without, I'm sure, intending to.

@n0ne same here - posted naively about something that genuinely shocked me. Got accused of being a troll, thread was deleted an I was temporarily banned!!!! MNHQ reality see their mistake and reinstated me but it was horrible. Recently posted about relationship issues and got told my kids should be to be taken away from me because I'm clearly a Shitty parent. Even if I strongly disagree with someone I never resort to personal attacks because you can't 'see' a person from a limited snapshot of a person's life (even if detailed) on a thread.
