Right MN ive gushed loads about how much of a crutch/soul saving place you are !
Belly laughed at ELK penguin bollards mexican house and shit my pants on the woooo thread !
Last few days it seems my light hearted tongue in cheek (dark) sense of (warped) humour has been ignored or a thread made about it Sad !... onwards and upwards i say though !
Ive read nasty un needed comments regarding speelllin abreveationsz wrong use of words Sad
I dont like it ,what has happened to lifting each other, moral support , hand holding ?... ohhh its "cringe" ! 🖕🏻
This is not nice behaviour and i dont honestly know why it would really matter but today i feel people coukd do with A sprinkle of my uneducated immature chavs sense of humour and bantz !
I am sorry , i do not wish or want to offend anybody but im off to lighten up mumsnet wish me luck

* I had hoped that this thread would have a translation by now.*

Translation: OP typed in "mums" and "net" the wrong way round.

RedDogsBeg · 25/02/2018 16:45

No Frusso unfortunately not. Would like clarification if this famed but secret sarcastic response is going to be posted on every single thread posted on MN every single day???? How crass and how time consuming if so.

metalmum15 · 25/02/2018 16:52

Just read this whole thread and I'm still none the wiser. That's 5 minutes of my life I'll never get back.

Frusso · 25/02/2018 16:56

It's confusing since OP has only been here 2 weeks, has read her way through classics, and is now wondering where all the hand holding, moral support and lifting each other is.

Clearly MN is not what she thought it was.

And I firmly believe based on previous posts that OP clearly got lost on the way to the huns.

Sparklingbrook · 25/02/2018 17:02

So is the OP lightening up MN somewhere as we speak? Linky please.

Whenever I hear 'bantz' I just think of The Inbetweeners.

Efrig · 25/02/2018 17:02

With regards to the "kids" names i do hope that that was not aimed at me,as that would seriously be a new low.

What, they really are called those? Shock

FlibbertyGiblets · 25/02/2018 17:17

I didn't see the baby names thread. Are they Jefferson and Airplane? Jim and Bexley? Sooty/Sweep? Ant/Dec? Sapphire and Steel/e *?
*tips hat to Sapphire poster

    • nods to Danielle Steel thread.
RedDogsBeg · 25/02/2018 17:17

The Classic Threads are not all hand holding and 'lifting each other' (a phrase I detest) are they? I wouldn't use them as marker of what MN is.

There is support on MN, there are several boards it is not all AIBU and Chat even though those are the most frequented.

I don't think so Sparklingbrook I fear we are now to be left permanently in the darkGrin.

Sparklingbrook · 25/02/2018 17:19

Aww no Red I could have done with some lightening up. Sad

The Classic threads are a weird mix of made up old cobblers and the odd heart warmer.

paxillin · 25/02/2018 18:42

was trying to make a collective

Finally, after 15 years somebody comes to bind us together. Thankyou thankyou thankyou.

paxillin · 25/02/2018 19:37

Why not just say it, OP? You joined 2 weeks ago, you read MN Classics. You are put out most MN isn't like that because we are doing it wrong?

If most MN was like that I probably wouldn't be a mnetter. Emin is of course awesome and there are some lovely threads (was there one how to parent teens?), but much of it was possibly funny if you were there.

clockworklime · 26/02/2018 09:43

You sound wild and kerayzee - do you own a spinning bow tie? xx

YetAnotherHelenMumsnet · 26/02/2018 14:13

Hi everyone! Thanks for the reports, much appreciated! We do love to let the conversation flow here on Mumsnet, as you all know, but we would like to remind everyone to stick to the talk guidelines below. www.mumsnet.com/info/netiquette
Just a reminder, posting in a somewhat left field style doesn't currently break the guidelines but personal attacks and trollhunting do. Thanks, all.

Meandmy4 · 27/02/2018 02:00

Thank you @YetAnotherHelensMum...
As you are so very helpful,I just wondered if you are able to possibly explain what you meant by "posting in a somewhat left field style" please?.
Many thanks.

Perhaps she means that you're irritating as fuck, but they don't ban people for that.

Why don't you consider replying to threads properly, and not in the style of an attention seeking 12 year old.

schrodingerstwat · 27/02/2018 06:15

@Phosphorus

Grin

I think I love you a bit.

schrodingerstwat · 27/02/2018 06:21

You've been here a few short weeks but you're saying people ignore your sense of humour. You must have an overinflated sense of your own importance to think people shouldn't ignore you. On a forum with thousands of members, why the hell shouldn't you be ignored?? As for people making a thread about your sense of humour? Really? No one gives enough of a shit.

NorthernKnickers · 27/02/2018 07:14

'Left field style' was (in the kindest sense) implying that 'some' people may be somewhat...erm...unconventional in their writing style.

In 'plainspeak' she means oddball, weird, incomprehensible, strange, radical...whatever fits!

QueenOfIce · 27/02/2018 07:29

I can't get past the lack of capital I..

NotASingleFuckToGive · 27/02/2018 13:58

I have 2 teenage DC so I'm lucky enough to be fluent in both Bullshit and Bollocks.
Can I translate this? Can I fuck.

I think OP is the AntiChrist.
