Cocks and Vaginas

AIBU to think we should just change toilets and changing rooms from male and female to just Cocks and Vaginas (or vulvas if you want)

No self identifying bollocks. If you have a dick you go in there. If you don't you go in there. Simple.

We can remove the lady in a dress picture and the man picture and just put pictures of genitals on the doors instead Grin

this is all said in a joking manner. Mostly.

TruScum · 24/02/2018 02:11

I'm up for that Grin

(Though in all honesty after reading some of the harrowing stories on here of survivors I would rather have a third unisex option as well if possible - I do use this option already for changing rooms etc.)

Though I think sports should be designated either chromosomes XX or chromosomes XY, as whilst I would count in the 'doesn't have a penis' category it would just be ridiculous if I started playing some of my friends at sport.

ChaosAndPiss · 24/02/2018 07:03

Of course it wouldn't be policed and you know what? Trans people have been using which ever toilet and changing room they fancy for years without anyone batting an eyelid. Because actually most people don't give a shit and think just live the life you want.

Self identifying is completely different though. If you've not changed even one tiny thing about yourself but think you can walk into somewhere as a man and take over female spaces you can fuck off.

And I'm not homophobic whoever said that? I'm a lesbian and support real trans people.

MN is going to blow up in national media for all the trans-hating threads.

LoniceraJaponica · 24/02/2018 07:35

What trans hating threads?

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 24/02/2018 07:38

I find it fascinating that these days, stating objective scientific fact is synonymous with being transphobic/trans-hating.

Tells you everything you need to know about the world we currently live in, really.

EllieMe · 24/02/2018 07:39

No transhating on MN. Some people with over active imaginations throwing accusations about, though. And trying to silence women.

Been there in the 60s, it didn't work.

Trans-irritated I will admit to. It seems to be all about me, me, me, with the ones I've heard about. They aren't that important.

GrannyGrissle · 24/02/2018 07:42

Agreed TroubledTribble28
Is shouting Transphobic Trans hater the new 'racist'?

iceycage · 24/02/2018 07:45

So someone born male who is going through the transition to female would have to use the cock toilets but the day after surgery can use the vagina one?

But.. some of you have said you feel uncomfortable by "men" in the ladies toilets. But if someone had had the surgery, how would you know? Would you insist they show you their private to see what they have ?

Or would you still be uncomfortable just at the sight of someone born male in the vagina room? In which case, we can clearly see that the genitals are not the issue here.

birdsdestiny · 24/02/2018 07:51

Did you miss the previous poster describing her experience of rape. Could you maybe guess at why she might be upset by a man in a female toilet.

Jaygee61 · 24/02/2018 08:30

*Jaygee61: So someone who has had a total hysterectomy including the cervix would have to go in XY then.

And with that comment you’ve just proven that you really don’t have the intelligence to discuss self ID and the issues that arise with it. 🤣*

I was responding to a post saying that XX would be reserved for peop,e needing regular smears, a definition which would exclude post surgery transwomen, and pointing out a situation where you could be XX and also be excluded from that definition.

You are resorting to personal abuse, which does your cause no good at all.

Heratnumber7 · 24/02/2018 09:05

@Dljlr I am the poster who said:
To the person who wants to keep women's toilets reserved for people with vaginas that can be used to deliver babies through, and which need to be smear tested every so often. I've had a hysterectomy. Where do I pee?

Hysterectomies don't take away your vagina.
Duh!

Dljlr · 24/02/2018 09:43

Oh, thanks for pointing that out. Mines not going to push a baby out any time soon and there's not a lot of point in subjecting it to a smear test though. Just acknowledging that your definition of woman is a bit fucking ignorant. HTH Smile

CircleofWillis · 24/02/2018 09:50

@Jaygee61
Biology 101 - XX and XY refer to your sex chromosomes. It is your genetic makeup. Two X chromosomes and you are female XX one X and one Y chromosome and you are male. You cannot change your chromosomes.

Chatterbitch · 24/02/2018 10:02

If everyone is so worked up about where they are going to piss safely just have all individual cubicles for male and female. Then everyone is safe and no-one is going to be humiliated and challenged over using the "wrong" one.

ferrier · 24/02/2018 11:14

That's still not ideal and in any case will take several years to fully implement.

Idontdowindows · 24/02/2018 11:20

No. A mutilated cock is not a vagina. A man with his cock removed is not a woman. Female space is for FEMALES.

So male and female toilets and no matter how you dress or what you do with your genitals, you go where you belong.

Jaygee61 · 24/02/2018 11:27

So you’d be happy for a bearded trans man, who could have a dick in his trousers for all you know, to use the female toilets?

Idontdowindows · 24/02/2018 11:35

Females don't have dicks. They have surgically created rolls of flesh. They are still female, no matter what they have sewn on to their bodies.

Yes, I would be entirely not bothered by females using female space, no matter how they look.

Jaygee61 · 24/02/2018 11:41

So if a person with a beard walked into a female toilet you would just assume they were female?

Idontdowindows · 24/02/2018 11:45

So if a person with a beard walked into a female toilet you would just assume they were female?

Not with today's idiocies going on where men like Muscato claim they are women and people actually validate their shit.

Women's spaces are to protect women. Men hate it that women have spaces where men aren't welcome. That's what all this is about, about colonising female space: sports, education, intimate safe space.

Men won't rest until they can force their cocks everywhere.

RoseWhiteTips · 24/02/2018 11:49

dinosaursandtea

Oh fuck off. The transphobia on this site is vile.

Just leave then. 🙄

Wellthen · 24/02/2018 11:51

Hey look at me I’m ‘self id-ing’ as autistic I’m gonna go to accessible swimming/cinema look how FUNNY I am

light hearted so no one is allowed to get offended

Is this ok? So why is it around trans issues?

There are, DEFINITELY, important conversations to be had and indeed legislation to be put in place around protected female spaces, trans women in sport and so on. This thread is not a discussion it’s a nasty piss take.

FeedtheTree · 24/02/2018 11:52

Unisex, single cubicle, lockable toilets for all. Men, women, children, trans - all humans wee and poo. Sex/gender shouldn't be an issue. But personal safety should be.

RoseWhiteTips · 24/02/2018 11:52

I was responding to a post saying that XX would be reserved for peop,e needing regular smears, a definition which would exclude post surgery transwomen, and pointing out a situation where you could be XX and also be excluded from that definition.

Oh but surely you have the right to pretend you need a smear test otherwise society is being so horribly unfair. 🙄

Chatterbitch · 24/02/2018 13:08

I just don't believe that this is about "colonising female space". It's about people being transgender and not having a place to go to the toilet without some kind of rejection/ humiliation.

The self identifying stuff is a very very small number who have nothing to do with the trans movement and I agree this is just nonsense.
