To be completely obsessed with Rightmove?

So I'm obsessed with it. I work agency night shifts and I need to prove my wages for at least a year before I can be considered for a mortgage with DH. He's got a great job but could only get a mortgage of £140k max on his own.

So on my breaks at night at work I just look at houses! It's pathetic but I love it!

So wibu to ask you to indulge me and share your fave rightmove houses?

I love the houses that people just don't give a shit about. Like they must have known someone was coming to take a photo but no fucks given or the really weird lay out/ odd decor. I love them all!!

I like this one; the bar especially Wink and the ensuite where you could definitely not have a shit!

rothbury
I've sent that to my property developer and financial advisor, I may need to liquidate a few assets but it should be doable.
Thanks for the heads up.

I thought this house looked beautiful from the outside. The interior is er.....unique. The kitchen is Fugly! Grin

This is on my right move for when my numbers come up.

peachypetite · 24/02/2018 20:59

We have just put ours on the market and killed ourselves tidying up, decluttering and cleaning. I can't believe the state some people leave theirs in for the photos!

EeeSheWasThin · 24/02/2018 21:02

Peachy we did that; the house looked really dull to me but it sold quickly!

peachypetite · 24/02/2018 21:05

Good to hear - I just can't believe people don't think to tidy up or put their clothes away!

Ski40 · 24/02/2018 21:09

Lol yes I have the Rightmove app and go on it quite a lot. I love interior design and tend to look at the posh houses to steal ideas 😁😁. Also always look at all the houses for sale in my village because I'm nosey like that, I'm afraid... haha. Xx

JaneEyre70 · 24/02/2018 21:11

We're redoing our kitchen soon and I've got loads of saved photos from Rightmove kitchens. It's a great way of seeing what would work in your space, and I'm eternally nosy which helps.

Ebb · 24/02/2018 21:15

Eeeshewasthin those views are to die for! I hope my numbers come up before yours! Grin

I give you this house that sold for nearly 1M - was ready to fall down, since people bought it (why oh why for that amount) is even more ready to fall down - more than 6 months after the work started it is a tarpaulin covered shell.......

AndTheyLivedHappilyEverAfter · 24/02/2018 21:20

I love Rightmove. I don't know why I love looking at houses I would never afford, it's torture!

I WANT WANT WANT this kitchen. I've always wanted one of those cosy bench areas. The rest of the house is pretty amazing too.

JugglingMummyof2 · 24/02/2018 21:22

Oh dear - I think I have completely missed the point of the thread Blush I'll get my coat...

Athenajm80 · 24/02/2018 21:35

I love this house www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-69246296.html Not the decor, a lot of that is hideous (fake columns in the lounge??), but the land and the bright rooms. I have driven past it in the evening just before Christmas and it was all lit up and looked very welcoming and warm. There are also superb walks nearby opposite, which is why I was there in the first place, then a few months later saw that it was up for sale. I'd offer a max of 1.5 million cause I'd want the remainder for refurbishment :)

EeeSheWasThin · 24/02/2018 21:54

Ebb there’s a fabulous pub opposite, just across the water. Walkable when the tide is out, the boat required when it’s in.

You can have this one instead, it’s just up the river 😀

Have a look at this house that was for sale in Ireland last year

WashingMatilda · 24/02/2018 22:49

Juggling not at all, love the bad ones too!! That's shocking.

Athena agree about the decor, but that is one of the best I've seen. I'm patching in my imaginary property developer as we speak.

WashingMatilda · 24/02/2018 22:52

Vibe HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

TheWanderingUterus · 24/02/2018 23:04

My friend shared this one with me, I’ve been fascinated by it and look at it most days. So disappointed it has been taken off the market, I guess they are going to paint it before putting it back on again.

Just found this one.

I can't be alone in seeing it as tacky as hell Blush

WashingMatilda · 24/02/2018 23:07

thewandering

WTF??!!! You can see it all through the windows from outside!!!!!
Literally feel dizzy.

TheWanderingUterus · 24/02/2018 23:07

Turns out it’s just off with that agent - here in technicolour:

www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-64080016.html

Those swirly lines go all the way up the stairs and landing.

frumpety · 25/02/2018 07:46

Thewandering I look at that one and think , you could turn it around in a month , with lots and lots and lots of paint ! The bathrooms look ok , clear the clutter and peel of the transfer stickers and they would be liveable with . Kitchen , the worktop looks ok , new cupboard doors , wonder if you can scrape the tile paint off ?

What have they done to the garage and what are the space age mirror panels on it ? Garden just needs a quick tidy and weed , paint the fence all one colour .

If I was selling this is what I would do , the rooms seem a decent enough size and the garden should be a selling point .

I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum in that I love looking at really cheap places

Jaywick - one of weirdest places in the country

Port Glasgow - where they are virtually giving them away
