I'd think of George Michael from Arrested Development, not George Michael the singer. But I wasn't a fan of the singer.

I know twins called Savannah and Briannah. That's worse.

Evenbetter · 21/02/2018 20:21

Judging by a recent local news article and Facebook group, it appears the majority of the population can’t spell Michael, they write ‘Micheal’ instead for some reason, even though it’s not a name and would be pronounced ‘mike heel’, that’s the only reason I’d avoid it, so the kid wouldn’t have to repeatedly spell his name to simpletons for 80+ decades.

OnceAponAMum · 21/02/2018 20:21

I know twins called Ronnie and Reggie too!

clarevoyent · 21/02/2018 20:28

Ronnie and Reggie

What sort of family is that then?

PuntCuffin · 21/02/2018 20:30

I know of brothers called bill and ted!!

It honestly never occurred to me when naming my sons that they would end up as Bill and Ted. It means nothing to anyone under the age of about 40 or over 50. So, it really isn't an issue.

clarevoyent · 21/02/2018 20:30

My twin brothers were called Kevin & Kelvin which was just weird.

Peekaboo3 · 21/02/2018 20:31

Ronnie and Reggie?! Confused

You may as well call your twins Rose and Fred, or Ian and Huntley FFS. Hmm

No difference. They're all murderers.

mathanxiety · 21/02/2018 20:34

In the nicest possible way, you need a hobby.

I am sure your poor Dsis really does regret it now, after six years of you cringing.

And there is nothing stopping her from shouting 'Michael, George'...

clarevoyent · 21/02/2018 20:35

Had a friend with with Bella & Jake - Tweenies names!

A kids tv show long forgotten now.

WowIFreelStrange · 21/02/2018 20:39

@Tippz lol no I'm not jealous.

I love my nephews. To bits.

Even she hates there fucking names and regrets ever calling them pissing George and Michael. She said she had completley different names in mind from month 1.

And I never called her stupid. I said calling identical twin boys George and Michael is stupid! Stupid.

And as I have already said. Yes George and Michael are nice names. I like them both. Just not on twin boys. Although that dosent mean I don't like my nephews. Or there names.

I like my nephews. Okay

I know two brothers who are cliff and Richard, not twins...!

FaFoutis · 21/02/2018 20:54

Somebody adopted my twin kittens and called them Peter and Andre. It was a long time ago, when he had a greasy chest. Poor kittens.

MrsGloop · 21/02/2018 20:55

I know seven year old twins called Frank and Spencer. We are in the US so no idea about Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em.

LeighaJ · 21/02/2018 20:55

GM reference aside, at least they're getting nice, normal names. Also, as others said it's doubtful that their classmates will get the reference.

Tippz · 21/02/2018 20:58

Even she hates there fucking names and regrets ever calling them pissing George and Michael. She said she had completely different names in mind from month 1.

Does she though? As a pp said, she is probably just saying it to shut you up, because of all the times you have whinged and mocked and berated her choice of names.

i don't believe she regrets it for a second.

C0untDucku1a · 21/02/2018 20:59

Why doesnt she just should ‘michael! George!’ At the park? Hmm

With all the stories about George michael that came out when he died, detailing his anonymous generosity, id focus on that and be proud of it.

Peekaboo3 · 21/02/2018 20:59

There are a lot of posters who know someone who called their twins a weird combination of names. I don't know a single one. Not one.

SuperBeagle · 21/02/2018 21:02

You sound a delight.

NotForSale · 21/02/2018 21:10

I once met a woman with twin girls who were called Annie and Clarabel. Plus they had an older brother called Thomas.
Actually, I do think George and Michael is weird but then they could be worse, maybe it's because I don't actually like GM. I strangely like Jamie and Oliver LOL

Kahlua4me · 21/02/2018 21:17

ShutUpBaz I have dc called Sam and Eleanor too! Only one person have ever made the comment about food poisoning and until then it hadn’t crossed my mind as a possibility 😀😀

Gilly12345 · 21/02/2018 21:18

Nice names but definitely not my choice, I think this is a bit strange of name choices, if it was a boy and girl I definitely would choose George and Mildred 😂😂😂😂😂

Charolais · 21/02/2018 21:19

My husband’s married friends from uni are Sam and Ella. I am not kidding!
