Not to wear knickers in bed?

Vulpius · 20/02/2018 10:56

Not a thread about a thread, as such, but I was very struck by someone on another thread talking about her old bed kickers (as in knickers she wears in bed, not as in knickers worn by her bed). I would have thought it was thoroughly unreasonable to wear knickers of any description in bed (unless they are the type that leads to Things), but AIBU?

Omg 😂😂😂this is hilarious !.... how do you nominate for the classics please ?... this is making me think twice about my commando lifestyle Confused

melj1213 · 20/02/2018 22:37

If I'm wearing pj bottoms I don't bother with knickers but will always wear them if I'm wearing a nightie.

It just feels more secure - if there was an emergency then I know I wouldn't be climbing out of a window with the whole street seeing my undercarriage or if I have to be seen publically before I can get dressed - e.g. signing for a parcel from the postman or to run after the bin men when I've forgotten it's collection day day - then I dont have to worry about the fact I'm wearing no knickers and there's a chance a rogue gust of wind (and I live in a coastal town so it's always windy) could reveal that to the whole world.

EyeDrops · 20/02/2018 22:44

I feel SO uncomfortable without knickers in bed. Also need a pyjama top or bra (sleep bra, not a normal one). I had such dreams when I was young of sleeping all sexy and nude, but I just hate it. Pants and top go straight back on after sex.

I also sit on my fanjo unless reclining!

What an eye-opening thread Grin

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 20/02/2018 22:45

So much I didn't know and have learned from this thread Shock.

Off to bed now - knickers ON! Grin

Bluebubble123 · 20/02/2018 22:48

I have bed knickers. They are cotton and 2 sizes bigger than my day ones so they are loose fitting for comfort at night.

Itmakesthereaderreadon · 20/02/2018 22:50

Knickers are day time clothes.

Pjs (without knickers-see above) are too hot after a bit.

Taking underwear off when I put my pjs on to watch tv is the great joy of each day. Not looking forward to lighter nights.

SuddenBeetE · 20/02/2018 22:54

I never wear knickers at all. My sister bought me some for Christmas (we did mini adult stockings) and I don’t quite know what to do with them tbh.

I don't know why people think it needs 'airing' down there, it's meant to be a .. sorry to use the word but .. moist environment! Whatever people prefer is fine, knickers, no knickers, whatever, but the 'fanjo' itself is really not bothered!!

halfwitpicker · 21/02/2018 01:27

If there as a chance of seeing a fireman I'd definitely want to be knicker less.

As a pp says, let your V-jayJay breathe sisters.

halfwitpicker · 21/02/2018 01:31

What's all this rubbish about sitting on your vag? Surely you're always sitting on it, if you're sitting? N'est pas?

TammySwansonTwo · 21/02/2018 01:34

Sorry but it’s true - I’ve worn knickers to bed ever since, and haven’t had thrush in over 10 years,

halfwitpicker · 21/02/2018 01:38

I still can't believe some people would have wet clothes I'd they didn't wear undies!

What a thread. Who knew?

halfwitpicker · 21/02/2018 01:38

If they didn't, of course

FastWindow · 21/02/2018 01:46

Well now I'm torn. I wear knickers as I'm a lazy shaver (think 70s fanjo at times, ladies) and the tickling is distracting.

Should I shave and air? Or confine the Bush?

cloudchasing · 21/02/2018 01:55

I would contain it all Fast I shave it all off sometimes, and you get a right sweaty minge in bed. Or maybe that's just me Grin

LidoDeck · 21/02/2018 02:00

Only if my period is REALLY heavy that month. Otherwise, I cannot wear anything in bed, not even my necklace! Birthday suit for me.

kungpopanda · 21/02/2018 02:29

Need to let your fanjos breathe ladies
@GardenGeek (great name for this thread!), why? I am hoping I have finally suffocated mine, the c* * * of a thing has caused me more than enough trouble over the years, in all conscience.

@Vulpius You don't want a mouse up your fanjo? None of us does, luv, but sometimes that's what we get. You have to kiss a lot of frogs... hang on, I'm getting confused now with all the small creatures. And the actual activity.

and @scaredofspidersuptwat poster - sorry, not5 paging back mid-reply - so what if they do lay eggs. 0.00xg baby spider versus 8lb human infant? I know which I'd prefer. And the spider comes housetrained.

ethelfleda · 21/02/2018 05:45

This thread is so surprising! I've always worn knickers, a bra and pjamas to bed!! And thought I would be in the majority. I've never had thrush...

Mummaloves · 21/02/2018 06:18

I am like Fissionchips - absolutely cannot sleep without ma draws on as it feels all like I'm about to wee !! My husband thinks it hilarious as he sleeps butt naked and always has done, but I have to have my undies on or I just can't sleep !
And never had thrush in my 40 year btw. Coincidently both my boys sleep naked too.

Loonyluna16 · 21/02/2018 06:47

No pants, I feel like I constantly have a wedgie.. although it often crosses my mind about certain emergencys. A few years ago my uncle's house was broken into and he chased said burglar and was out his gate and half way down the street before he realised he was nude. No wonder the burglar was running so fast. Then again my DP would be the same. He is forever naked. It's difficult to get him in clothes when he comes home from work. yes I clean my leather couch daily

LakieLady · 21/02/2018 06:58

I've always worn knickers, a bra and pjamas to bed

Goodness, in my youth when my tits were still upstanding, I used to go out for the evening wearing less than that. Shock And the bra comes off during the evening, I feel proper trussed up trying to relax with my boulder holder on.

MsHarry · 21/02/2018 07:41

I agree with koala on the side issue of PJs being unbalanced. Vest top and long bottoms just doesn’t make sense. Vest and shorts, yes. Reminds of those men you see wearing tight t-shirts and beanie hats as their nod to winter. Just wrong.

Vulpius · 21/02/2018 07:44

I haven't even had breakfast yet, and am already thinking about 70s bushes (thanks, Fastwindow).

I have a 90s bush. I like to think of it as a tidier versionWink
