To wear these knickers ?

This morning I have put on a pair of knickers that are 23 years old.Shock I know that because my boyfriends mum (at the time) bought them for me in 1995 for my birthday before I left to come to university. They just seem to have come with me everywhere and I just still have them in my drawer. Anyone got any older underwear/clothing still in regular use ?

Got a traditional beige raincoat from Hammells Petites, well over 30 years old, a cream camel jacket with fur collar, also over 30 years old. Both still as new, and wont go out of style.

Have a jumper of my mums that's at least 40 years old.

Have a pair of primark pyjamas with my name sewn in (so worn on a school trip) and I'm ahem mid thirties.

DH's dressing gown pre-dates me. We got together in 2002 and he has worn it at some point pretty much every day since then. Debenhams.

I had a pair of pj's I still wore from when I was about 15 had them for about that length of time. I was so proud of the fact that they still fitted me until someone kindly pointed out the elastic will have gone in them and that how they fit..........pj's are in the bin 😕😂

I have two sweaters, one from Dorothy Perkins, t'other from Richards, both bought in the sales December 1994. I wear them regularly in the winter, in fact one is in the washing machine at the moment.

DP still wears a favourite plain white top he bought many years before he met me (in 1994). It's got a fair few holes in now, but they sort of go with the modern trend for ripped jeans etc. Grin

I still wear student tshirts to go to the gym and have kept some nightwear. I have decluttered many times, so no underwear from my youth. Sadly, my old bras are far too big now anyway.

I have a work skirt that is 27 years old and my grey tweed coat I bought i a charity shop 30 years ago is still going strong although the sleeves now need relining.

I also have a load of lovely vintage stuff that was my great aunt's sadly it no longer fits me but I've kept it for my dd.

I have clothes older than many posters here! I still wear tshirts and socks from when I was at school and I’m in my 40s now! I also have a fantastic fleece tracksuit from gap (I know!) that I bought in 1994 that I still wear on cold days, it doesn’t look any different now to when I got it.

Knickers however just wouldn’t last that long. I must have some rancid fanny acid or something that causes knickers to disintegrate at around 6 months

Both my husband and I regularly wear his hockey jerseys from when he played for his country back from circa 1995. He wears it for schlepping and yard work, I wear it after the bath and he thinks it’s sexy with bare legs. Weirdo.

This has made me think. I took off a pair of knickers for the wash (cheap), and thought I couldn't bear to wear them again, stretched and horrid )
(Them not me)
(OK, me)

And then I washed them before binning them.

My granny has a blouse that is officially 49 years old this year. It's a beautiful black and silver striped blouse with a frilly collar that would look ridiculous on anyone but her!

Well. I feel MUCH better now about my go to floaty tunic that comes out every single summer since 1991. It's practically new compared to some of the stuff still being worn apparently Grin. I still have a couple of tops from about that time too.
No knickers though. I must have a rancid fanny too. 😂

Ive got a tie dye floaty beach dress that comes out once or twice each summer if it is teally hot . I first wore it in 1976 that hot summer. It is a loose fitting ( shapeless!) style so copes well with my up down weight over last 40 years.

I'm pretty sure I still own and wear the black tights that I had in high school. They're a good 20 years old...

I still wear a pair of black hot pant shorts I got to go to Greece as a seventeen year old, thirteen years ago! I wore them on nights out with bare legs. Obviously these days I just wear them as pyjama bottoms!

I have a Manics t shirt from their very first (New Art Riot) tour, I reckon c 1989. I still wear it round the house and have recently discovered that it has serious value. In fact, think it has outperform my pension.

I know not underwear I have a belt I brought in top shop when I was 16...now 33 so 17 years use! I wear it constantly with every pear of jeans I own as I am between 2 sizes. It just lays really flat has a small buckle so isn’t really visible. Still going strong! Wearing it today!

My mum made me some denim shorts when I was 12/13/14 ish? I get them out once a year, try them on (tucking my stomach in first!) zip them up, sit down just to prove I can then take them off. They're heading towards their half century!

I have several 20 year old sundresses in my wardrobe that I still get out every year. It drives my DM crazy, but I find it comfortingSmile
