So I'm 9 weeks pregnant after a few early losses last year, and I had a scan on the 10th Feb that showed a healthy baby with a heartbeat. Yesterday and today however, I've had brownish red discharge... Nowhere near enough to fill a pad (it's only when I wipe) and no clots. So why do I feel so hopeless and like 'it's all over'? Got doctors this morning to ask for an epu referral as they won't see me without one. I'm so so so worried :(

I’ve had two MCs and have 2 DCs

Both MCs I didn’t bleed at all, both DCs I did....

All the best op Flowers

Motoko · 20/02/2018 10:50

Keeping my fingers crossed for you OP. Flowers

HI, its so so so difficult being pregnant and seeing blood, even worse being pregnant after a mc and seeing blood.

I had 2 mmc... the 2nd I had seen hb at 7 weeks :( Yet with both there was no bleeding.

My 3rd pregnancy I bled (well spotted) on and off, just small amounts. and all was fine, dc was born nice and healthy.

my 4th pregnancy I started bleeding a few days after missed period, I thought it was my period and put a pad on, it stopped after a day, then re started a few days later.... it was like a light period and I did a test and it was positive so went off to the gp to get checked out. They said there was nothing they could do at an early stage and I'd have to wait until 6 weeks for a scan, so dead on 6 weeks I went for a scan and they did see a little area of bleeding, they said it happens when the egg implants a little and comes away only to re-implant, OR there were 2 eggs implanted and 1 came away.

Anyway I was still bleeding until 11 weeks when they decided to scan again to make sure everything was fine.... the bleeding part was a lot smaller and baby was fine.... i think i stopped bleeding at 12ish weeks... but in those first weeks I just couldnt see a future where this baby survived. But she did... and my goodness do we know we have her!!! lol

sending positive thoughts, hope all is ok. Try and take it easy x x

As another PP has said OP, please keep an eye out for ahoulder pain. If you get any, it is an A&E job for certain, as Thissameearth has said is a massive symptom of ectopic pregnancy.

FuckMyUterus · 20/02/2018 11:41

loudest if you read all of the thread I had a scan a week and a half ago and baby was in the correct place and (at least then) had a heartbeat... Thank you though 😊

OP posts:
LoudestRoar · 20/02/2018 11:53

Sorry Uterus I did completely miss that for some reason Flowers

jacobsgirl · 20/02/2018 11:54

Didn't want to read and run

I'm afraid I'm no help as I have no experience but I'm wishing you all the best

My thoughts are with you Thanks

FellOutOfBed2wice · 20/02/2018 12:45

OP- sorry was out. Yes, there were clots in my bleeding, it was heavy and it went on from week 5 until week 12. They couldn’t find any areas of bleeding on the scan and it didn’t seem to have any explanation. It suddenly just stopped one day and never came back when I was just over 12 weeks.

I hope that yours turns out to be similar.

QuestionableMouse · 20/02/2018 16:45

I had bleeding recently with a water infection. I know you said you'd been checked for that but the nurse who saw me said that blood in the urine can effect the result. Would tie in with the back ache too.

FuckMyUterus · 20/02/2018 20:12

questionable yes they did take a urine sample for culture and I've gotta ring tomorrow for results of that

OP posts:
FuckMyUterus · 20/02/2018 20:26

Just been in the bath and a few small black clots floated out :( my stomach and back are starting to ache too... Not holding out much hope tbh.

QuestionableMouse · 20/02/2018 21:59

I'm hoping you get a positive result on the urine culture. So sorry you're going through this.

Oh my sister who is reading over my shoulder said it could be a varicose vein? Not sure how they check for those but they can bleed apparently.

FuckMyUterus · 20/02/2018 22:02

Varicose vein? Thought they only occurred in legs... We'll soon see on Thursday anyway

StepAwayFromGoogle · 20/02/2018 22:09

Oh, OP, I really, really hope everything is OK for you. I've had three miscarriages and they were all heart breaking. As a word of encouragement, I would have expected a much bigger bleed by now if that was what was going on. Hopefully it's just one of those things and baby is absolutely fine. Rooting for you.

JustVent · 20/02/2018 22:13

Good luck with tomorrow. It’s too late now (since your appointment is tomorrow) but when your EPU say you need a referral, that referral consists of one quick call from your GP.

Hope tomorrow goes well for you. Flowers

QuestionableMouse · 20/02/2018 22:19

www.babycentre.co.uk/a271/varicose-veins-in-pregnancy

Apparently about 4% of women get varicose veins in their bits during pregnancy. They can bleed apparently.

FuckMyUterus · 21/02/2018 07:46

Okay, thanks guys. I'm out all day today so hoping to stay off here and not think about about it, so I'll make sure to come back and update you all, good or bad. Thanks for all the advice, you've all kept me sane

OP posts:
FuckMyUterus · 21/02/2018 10:08

Sorry guys it's bad news I'm afraid.

Liverpoolmumof1 · 21/02/2018 11:13

OP I’m so so sorry. I know how heartbroken you must be and nothing anyone can say will change that.

Thinking of you. Xx

Motoko · 21/02/2018 11:28

I'm so sorry.

Be gentle with yourself. Flowers

So sorry Flowers

JustVent · 21/02/2018 11:48

I’m so sorry to hear this. It’s utterly heartbreaking. I had a MMC in the summer and I had no idea how utterly heart wrenching a miscarriage is to endure.
I hope your heart heals soon.

Taffeta · 21/02/2018 12:59

So sorry OP. Here if you want to rage or cry xx Flowers

Parrothead · 21/02/2018 13:06
Flowers

At the risk of being insensitive, OP, are you sure? I understand why you are thinking the worst but from what you’ve said so far it sounds like there’s still hope. Of course I know things may have progressed since your last post. I’ve SO been where you are and it’s awful. I’m wishing you some peace today, no matter what the outcome.
