Which theories, dismissed by many as conspiracy theories, do you regard as the truth?

" Jimmy Saville do something really random like ring GMTV and tell them he’d never been there? "
yes he denied ever having been to Jersey.
then this pic turned up...

Even as a child I found certain men on TV unsettling

Me too! I never liked that Fred who presented the weather in This Morning. Now I know why. I had similar feelings about a friends dad for no fathomable reason. Years later we found out he was a bit dodgy. There's two people on a popular Sunday night tv programme that give me the heebies (or last time I watched anyway).

That picture makes my blood run cold.

I don’t think David kelly killed himself.

I’m highly sceptical about Kurt Cobains death.

Lockerbie I don’t believe we know the full story.

Likewise 9/11 I believe the planes hit the buildings but we don’t know the full story about who funded the attack’s and why.

I always thought it was very convenient the accusations about Kitty came out just when Prince Andrew’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein was being explored in the press.

beluga425 · 20/02/2018 16:55

Those poor little kids in the photo with Jimmy Savile. There must be so much more to it than just him or it would have come out in his lifetime. The only people to speak up were John Lydon and Jerry Sadovic.

Backenette - How was the Black Death transmitted if rats were not the carrier ?

Person to person, vital transmission. A haemorrhagic fever (like Ebola/Marburg/dengue.) similar viruses swirl around the Crimea and Levant and cropped up in both world wars. These things are not confined to the tropics

Notwellbitch · 20/02/2018 17:17

Yes that Jersey place, Haut de la garennes ( I think that's the right spelling) that whole scandal of the human remains found there, and it's been completely gagged

Yes, the human skull remains that turned out to just be "coconut shells" Hmm I mean surely forensic pathologists could tell the difference before going through the trouble of testing etc. Plus would material like coconut shell not degrade if buried?
Lots human milk teeth were found there in the cellar also for which no explanation was provided. Bizarre to say the least.

Graphista · 20/02/2018 17:32

As I said upthread, several events have been dismissed as "conspiracy theories" until they've been proven to be true. They're not ALL nonsense.

As a lapsed Catholic myself I am constantly ashamed of the actions of the Catholic Church. Yes there are good people in the Catholic faith but they don't come close to balancing out the evil that's been done by the church. And I believe continues to be done, I think it's highly likely there's still csa, illegal adoptions, babies that could be saved being left without medical care because they're illegitimate or disabled. There's an obsession with perfectionism that's very disturbing. Plus of course deep rooted misogyny and bigotry.

Regarding "how big are the people being protected" in the child abuse scandals. I don't think it's necessarily the level of the people involved seeing as it's already been rumoured to go as high as royalty. I think it's the NUMBER of people involved, it's a house of cards situation. I think it goes beyond the uk too, we don't exist in a bubble I would not be at all surprised if it were to emerge that these abused children were made available to visiting dignitaries too. Eg can you imagine the outrage if it were revealed abused children were used in "honey trap" style set ups during the Cold War?

I believe that it's SO MANY of them in the higher levels of politics, royalty, finance that if the extent were revealed to the public "the establishment" would all come crashing down. It would all implode because we would have no idea who to trust, who to vote for. I suspect also there are several women are involved, we still (societally) have real difficulty still in believing women are not only complicit but actively involved in csa. That would be a huge shock culturally speaking.

What strikes me about most of the paedophilia/rape scandals (I actually wouldn't define Jimmy Savile as a paedophile, I think he just raped anything that moved and children were more vulnerable) is that few were actually covered up. 'Everyone' knew but nobody defined it, named it, investigated or prosecuted. Some were undoubtedly bribed not to, but most were simply blinded or drugged by society regarding the vuctims as worthless trash, by the authority or celebrity of the perpetrators. I don't believe Ted Heath will be found out as a predator because he's never been known for it. Visiting Jersey is hardly a crime. Look at the Rotherham and Oxford exploitation scandals - everyone knew all about it, they were just viewing the girls involved as worthless - they didn't see the crime even when schoolgirls were being picked up by known criminals from the school gates every day. There was no cover up, who needed one?

DannyLaRuesBestFrock · 20/02/2018 17:39

I agree with all you have just said in you last post graph. I think sadly, you have it spot on.

ObscuredbyFog · 20/02/2018 17:42

For a modern day 'this looks a bit fishy even though everyone has been exonerated at the highest level' have a look at who approved Aspartame as safe for public consumption, who was then given very good jobs at Monsanto, the manufacturers of Aspartame.
Then have a look at Monsanto's GM policy and its actual effects on farmers in poorer countries, then just keep looking.
They have a very good publicity machine, but the consequences of what they are doing is questionable to say the least.

Anyone remember the last Foot and Mouth outbreak? Lots of theories about it being deliberately spread, many breeding lines and livelihoods ruined. Now we're heading towards mostly commercially raised animals, fed on pellets and medicated for things they wouldn't have if they were outside eating grass, they never see a field. Google intensive farming if you're interested.

There's so much going on it's hard to step back and take an overview of exactly what is being done and why. Is there some sort of agenda?

I haven't a clue.

Graphista · 20/02/2018 17:46

I hope I'm wrong but as a survivor myself who even before #metoo and discovering mn even amongst us commoners it seems to be rife.

I didn't disclose until my 20's but found every time I did that I ended up learning about more victims.

I have depression and anxiety and through therapy it's been discussed of course. And even the people I've disclosed to in their professional capacities (gp's, sw, hcp's, therapists) not all of whom specifically work in this area, they think it's far more wide spread than official stats would imply.

Graphista · 20/02/2018 17:52

Obscuredby - my granda (farming and fishing family) would have wholeheartedly agreed with you.

He said post WWII the govt became far too involved in farming and fishing in a suspicious way. He suspected corruption from commercial, particularly American, food manufacturers on a wide scale.

His reaction to the BSE scandal was - that's what happens when you've got bloody politicians interfering in farming.

Sassenach85 · 20/02/2018 18:06

38 pages and nobody has mentioned Ancient Aliens??

The80sweregreat · 20/02/2018 18:12

Aliens were here first?
Graphista, i am sorry - so much evil in the world. Its so sad.
My poor mum was abused in the 1930s by her uncle. So much goes on and so much is covered up. Its just heartbreaking.

Leontine · 20/02/2018 18:16

I think Marilyn Monroe was murdered.

malificent7 · 20/02/2018 18:27

All the Western involvement in the middle East is oil related i rekon...

I also think that viable, cheap alternatives to petrol and diesel have been invented but have been squashed due to financial intetests in hydrocarbon industry.

gussyfinknottle · 20/02/2018 18:30

The aliens here first thing is another way of saying "technology can't be developed by anyone other than Europeans" - Egyptians and Incans couldn't possibly have worked out the maths and engineering required to build pyramids- it had to be aliens. Yucky idea.

Graphista · 20/02/2018 18:32

Thanks the80'sweregreat (they were Grin)

Malificent - the first part is generally accepted so not really a conspiracy theory.

I think alternatives to oil are well known but the politicians (funded by oil companies especially in USA) and the oil companies themselves frequently trot out "it'd be too expensive to develop properly" "there are dangers in using X y z fuel" etc

That the U.K. As an island surrounded by tidal power, that could easily make more use of wind power is still so dependant on oil is bonkers.

Graphista · 20/02/2018 18:33

Isn't ancient aliens a Scientology thing?

malificent7 · 20/02/2018 18:37

Has anyone mentioned crop circles? What is the deal there?
