To think Labours Lily Madigan is really just trolling?

Young Lily (Woman’s Officer) seems to be going out of their way to rile up and insult women. I can only think either Lily is trolling for laughs or is on a little power trip. I’d love to know what MPs reallty think of their young controversial protege. How far is Labour willing to support Lily?

On her twitter profile there's a "feed me" link to a paypal account, which strangely misgenders her as "Liam" and has what must be an old photo of a different looking Lily.. How can she bear to leave this like this it must be so distressing?

Vladamirs - yes, I agree. And it's actually disgusting that not one of the many more experienced Labour party members hasn't got their arms around them to help them avoid the current car crash.

Imagine if, following the initial uproar at LM's election, LM had just got on with being the Women's Officer for a small CLP, stayed away from social media (perhaps apart from the occasional retweet of official LAbour Party stuff), and learnt how to be in politics. This thread wouldn't be here for a start

IIRC he has previously said that he can't afford to get any of the documents that would allow him to change his name on his bank account. But he has also said that his passport says "F", which one would assume to mean it is also in the name of "Lily Madigan". So who knows. He thinks he can get pregnant, so y'know

I must admit, I went on to Twitter to have a read of LM's page and was horrified at some of the abuse she was getting (about her acne, general appearance etc.). I tweeted that I felt the abuse was really nasty and hoping she was ok, then asked if she could spend some time focussing on issues relating to mat leave and the problems women face at work when going through menopause and SHE BLOCKED ME! Shock I was nothing but courteous but was apparently blocked because I mentioned things to do with biological women. I have officially hit #peaktrans

Well, yeah. He doesn't give a shit about women. He's been pretty darn obvious about it too, I'm a tiny bit surprised you're surprised!

Interestingly I was once on a Reddit thread where someone obviously was sockpuppeting themselves and being very repeatedly abusive from one username to another to get sympathy. It backfired when they forgot which account they were on. I've never quite been so trusting about those things since then.

I see your point but I'm also rather a bit aghast that he is the woman's officer. For a start I don't think any teenager (whatever they identify as) should be the woman's officer of a major political party and secondly I think anyone who takes up such a role should be scrutinised. Apparently scrutinising him renders us all bigots because of #NoDebate. It appears to me there is no sensible way to have this discussion.

Tbh shame on the Labour party. There was a thread not too long ago in which a poster said she would not be voting Labour anymore following this fantango regarding Liam, I was thinking well is it worth throwing the entire party under the bus over that... but I now think yes, it is. It's the only way they will learn.

For me it's like having Jacob Rees-Mog as head of racial and cultural diversity and inclusion. Liam can do what he likes but his actions have all the hallmarks of an attention-seeking, confused, self-righteous teenager. And shame on us for having the audacity to call out the bullshit.

His position as Woman's Officer is absurd to me. It would be like asking my current 18-year old Law student to represent me in a murder trial because she once read a 'law' text book from the Uni library.

The latter post refers to a person that had told him that he'd never have children and should accept the reality of it and stop encroaching on female territory.

So listen up all you infertile women; you don't know just how hard we all have it! Liam can't have kids either!

At least the 18 year old law student would have some background of the subject they are supposedly knowledgeable of. The same can't be said for LM.

As a point of information, she isn't the Women's Officer for the Labour Party as a whole, just for her constituency. But apart from that I agree with you.

Yes, LM's political clout is pretty limited on its own.

But he should still be behaving responsibly, both because she is a representative of the Labour Party (both as a member and a post holder) but also because he has stated on a number of occasions that he intends to run for Parliament one day.

Even part time Neighbourhood Watch volunteers have to behave according to a set of standards or face disciplinary action. They don't get to refuse to give the little stickers for your window that say "We're Watching You" to the people at Number 34 who once said something that they didn't like

Haven’t read the full thread but I STILL have been waiting an explanation as a biological female I need to now adopt CIS in front of my biological sex label.

Had a long day on the office so may now exploade and rant so bare with me...

What the fuck has gender got to do with biological sex? It’s really only in the western world where this is a thing. And in some parts of the “underveloped” world where it’s illegal to be gay, but not if you identify as a woman.

First of all gender is total fucking made up.

So how you can be medically certified as trans is beyond me.

Does not all of the current debate smack how “traditional” western men see any who acts in their peer group as “unmanly” and therefore cant be a man?

Since when did wearing makeup and being feminine be consigned to females only?

This whole debate we have on our hands is all because “traditional” men don’t want admit that “the gays” and the “feminine” guys are men.

Because to be those things is lesser. THEREFORE they must be female.
