Young Lily (Woman’s Officer) seems to be going out of their way to rile up and insult women. I can only think either Lily is trolling for laughs or is on a little power trip. I’d love to know what MPs reallty think of their young controversial protege. How far is Labour willing to support Lily?

This is a fully grown adult. I was married at 20, working full time, and somehow managed to NOT get virtual head pats for being "just a kid".

I'm not a great twitter user but I tweeted lily, couldn't access their profile at all and then I logged out and looked at the twitter page again (for lily madigans profile) and my tweet was gone.
Page was still up obviously but everytime I signed in I couldn't access the page. This is the screen I get if I try while signed in and as I said I couldn't find my tweet when I got onto Lily's page. Have I missed something

If anyone specifically wanted to stop natal women getting into politics, the trojan horse of Trans would be one of the top ways to achieve it.

TRAs and their supporters have successfully confused, distracted and muddied the political waters with 'emotional issues' that are supposedly linked to women/ being women/ women's issues, meanwhile males quietly get on with being in power and making law, and suceed in stopping natal women achieving anything of substance in politics.

And yes, we should be horrified that the Tories will have control of the Equality Act etc after we withdraw from the Human Rights Act after Brexit.

Has she been given a "national platform" though? Surely the only people who have given her a national platform are Twitter, and they'll give one to anyone.

Bejazzled Maria Miller and Justine Greening introduced the idea of self ID, and using their position on the women and Equalities committee have re written The Equality Act.
The changes to the Act means that men have the protected characteristic of trans gender from the day they announce their intention to transition. They do not actually have to do anything further to get the legal status of female.

If it was a woman behaving in this way she'd be hauled over the coals. Wasn't there a young female MP type person who had to resign over racist remarks she had made years previous? Why hasn't l madigan been given the same treatment over their historic rape and pedophilia jokes? Not to mention the very current unprofessional way they publicly communicate, a woman simply would not get away with that.

ALL parties are supporting this at the moment except, I believe, UKIP.

The irony here is that in attacking Jess for talking about men, Lily & friends are implying that they themselves view transwomen as male. Otherwise surely they wouldn't be taking the tweet so personally.
