To think Labours Lily Madigan is really just trolling?

Young Lily (Woman’s Officer) seems to be going out of their way to rile up and insult women. I can only think either Lily is trolling for laughs or is on a little power trip. I’d love to know what MPs reallty think of their young controversial protege. How far is Labour willing to support Lily?

What part doesn't bother you, MasterWu?
Is it the doxxing?
The threats?
The abuse of data?
The hatred towards women. (Y'know, actual women)?
The fact that all a WOMENS officer ever talks about is men in dresses?
If none of that bothers you then cool. But surely you can see why some people are a tiny bit bothered by it???

Lovesagin · 19/02/2018 19:02

Move along then master Wu :)

anonirat · 19/02/2018 19:03

Yep NannyOgg it really makes me sick.

They have the triple whammy of making women being all about the 'feelz' not science; taking advantage of/ forcing women to step aside and put others first; and yet Lily et al succeed without showing any real empathy to women or anyone except themselves.

Makes me sick.

anonirat · 19/02/2018 19:06

It obviously makes me sick twice!!!

MasterWu · 19/02/2018 19:08

To the extent there's at least one thread a day about her? Come on. I think this level of wrath about her plays right into her hands to be honest. It makes her appear to be a victim.

Mogleflop · 19/02/2018 19:10

Ah yes, it's masterwu supporting MRAs again. Always a delight to read.

anonirat · 19/02/2018 19:13

So women should not talk about LM or their actions because it might play into Lily's hands?

Women should be silent?

Women shouldn't engage with political deabte about their elected representatives becasue the representative might feel victimised?!!!!

I see where you are coming from MasterWu... and it ain't from concern for women..

MasterWu · 19/02/2018 19:17

Ah the old MRA routine! A little old hat now don't you think?

I know this may surprise you, but there's a whole wide world out there, and other people may have different views (Gasp!)

Not subscribing to your world view doesn't make me a MRA I'm afraid (I find them as pitiful as rad fems to be honest) but nice try.

Scabbersley · 19/02/2018 19:19

Who is she threatening with the police?

I'm slightly obsessed with her twitter feed as I find it incredible that she has absolutely no reference to any women's issues whatsoever. It's all about her. And is she really asking for money!! Shock

Mogleflop · 19/02/2018 19:19

Oh so not the first time someone's said that? I'm totally shocked.

But to not derail too much on to you - yes, LM is absolutely 100% worth discussing, because of the precedent and policies they are setting.

This is the future of women in politics unless people speak up now. I don't see a brave new world where women win out when LM and others dominate.

The stuff about being pregnant is just weird.

Xulishesthepilot · 19/02/2018 19:21

I don't get it either. Never before has any post-holder in a constituency Labour party been subject to so much attention, I guarantee it.

rosy71 · 19/02/2018 19:21

I've had the race for life conversation several times. It's quite simple to look on the cancer research website and discover that there are several men only 10ks as well as lots of mixed races. Race for life is only one aspect of what's available. Its also one if their successful fundraisers because its womwn only. People moaning that men cant take part annoys me.

Whoops- i mean women.

VladmirsPoutine · 19/02/2018 19:22

And he's a woman's officer!? The party is a joke. The whole thing is a joke. He needs to fuck off.

MasterWu · 19/02/2018 19:26

So women should not talk about LM or their actions because it might play into Lily's hands? To the extent of one thread a day? It kind of backs her up when she makes accusations of cyber bullying

Women should be silent? Try to at least argue what I've actually said rather than the point you'd like me to have made. It's not that difficult.

Women shouldn't engage with political deabte about their elected representatives becasue the representative might feel victimised?!!!!
She's your elected representative? Correct me if I'm wrong but I was pretty sure the electorate haven't put her in that position.

GerdaLovesLili · 19/02/2018 19:31

I won't be voting Labour as long as Lily Madigan is women's offficer.

Xulishesthepilot · 19/02/2018 19:32

Women shouldn't engage with political deabte about their elected representatives becasue the representative might feel victimised?!!!!

Wasn't she elected by the women of her local Labour party to represent them within their own political party? Does that include you?

anonirat · 19/02/2018 19:38

MasterWu

It is factually not one thread a day (misuse of statistics are a TRA speciality)

The post of Labour Women's Officer is an elected one - LM was elected therefore she has an electorate.

If women cannot comment upon a person in the political sphere for fear of that person claiming victimisation, then the alternative is to be silent.

You recommend women not commenting on LM = be silent = no challenge to LM's activites = TRA idealogy becoming further normalised = damage to women achieved through fear and gamesmanship not political agreement. That is not democracy.

It is a clever play by TRAs/ MRAs to have women walk this tightrope but falling at the first hurdle by having our opinions oppressed is the quickest way to lose.

MerryShitmas · 19/02/2018 19:39

MasterWu
I don't know if we're looking in different places (or perhaps I'm not as MN addicted as I used to be) but I haven't seen any much less posted on them for at least a couple weeks...

TellsEveryoneRealFacts · 19/02/2018 19:39

To the extent of one thread a day? It kind of backs her up when she makes accusations of cyber bullying

Reaction is not action.

Tinycitrus · 19/02/2018 19:43

I don’t think this is very helpful. targeting an individual isn’t going to advance anything - it’s just going to confirm to her that she is indeed persecuted and oppressed in the manner of Rosa Parks.

anonirat · 19/02/2018 19:43

Xulishes I am/was a Labour supporter and LM has been backed more broadly by the Labour leadership so yes, LM's opinions and activities do include me.
