To ask how tall you are?

I'm 5'10 (and a half even) and everywhere I go I feel freakishly tall compared to other women around me.

It's alright though, really!

How tall are you? Do you like being your particular height?

I am 5 feet 3 and a half inches tall. Not too short, but I would love to be 3" taller. I have a few pals who are 5 ft 6 to 5 ft 9, and I envy them. They seem more 'leggy' and carry extra weight better. They look much better in clothes when they are carrying 2-3 stone of extra weight than I do when I am carrying that much extra. Sad

My DH is 5 ft 9 and a half inches tall. Average for a middle aged man I think. Smile

Our young adult daughters are 5 ft 5" tall and 5 ft 7" tall! So a bit tallish.

Both got long legs too. Smile

No, he's not, I was exaggerating for comedy effect.

JessyJames · 11/02/2018 16:59

5'10". Used to hate being tall when I was younger but love it now.

I am the tallest of all my friends. DH is 6'1" and DS (15) is 6'3". He calls me shorty.

AmberTopaz · 11/02/2018 17:00

I’m relatively tall - around 5’8”. I like being this height.

confusednotcom2 · 11/02/2018 17:01

Random fact for those who feel they out of proportion, have long arms etc. Your arm span should be the same as your height & your foot should measure the same as your inner forearm.

I didn’t believe the arm one until I did it.

amusedbush · 11/02/2018 17:03

5' 4.5 but I have the weirdest proportions. I have a really long body so I need tops from the 'tall' range but my inside leg is 28" so I need 'petite' jeans Hmm

I'm a size 14 and look like a bloody Womble Blush

BuzzKillington · 11/02/2018 17:04

5" 7.5 exactly.

I would LOVE to be 5'10.

I am neither tall nor short, but would hate to be short and would love to be tall.

PerryPerryThePlatypus · 11/02/2018 17:04

4'9. I've lost an inch somewhere.

Shmithecat · 11/02/2018 17:05

6'2. I like it.

DorisDangleberry · 11/02/2018 17:07

7’3”

I always get picked first for netball.

coffeeagogo · 11/02/2018 17:07

6’1 but my DH calls me shorty because he’s 6’5. Our girls are ridiculously taller than everyone else in their respective classes

user1471450061 · 11/02/2018 17:07

I'm 5ft 10. I hate it. I have a long body and find it difficult to get tops to fit so if I reach up I don't expose my belly.
My mum is 5ft so I definitely did not take after her.

I just hate wasting money on tops that don't fit right.

RavenLG · 11/02/2018 17:08

5foot exactly. I have a love/hate relationship with it. I feel cute and petite but I’m also really overweight and if I was taller I wouldn’t look as bad Grin also it’s impossible to buy trousers that fit.
I downloaded a fitness app that gives you abuse (as a way to motivate me) and it called me a shrimp when I entered my height which I found amusing and apt

joystir59 · 11/02/2018 17:09

173cm

surferjet · 11/02/2018 17:09

5.6
Wouldn’t want to be any taller if I’m honest. ( or shorter )

Asthenia · 11/02/2018 17:11

I’m 5”11. I used to wish desperately to be petite when I was younger - I wanted to be cute and for people to want to protect me haha. Now I feel powerful and actually love my height!

DuckAndPancakes · 11/02/2018 17:15

6ft

I’d rather be shorter. My posture and back are fucked because I spent so much time trying to make myself appear smaller and hunched. I always wanted to be a tiny girlfriend that could wear a boyfriends jumper as a bloody dress rather than a crop top.

DD is 8.5 and 4’6.

Tablesturned · 11/02/2018 17:19

5’4’’
Quite happy with that and don’t feel short.

LearnFromThePast · 11/02/2018 17:25

6ft 2 and female. I love being tall

blackteasplease · 11/02/2018 17:25

168 cm

EnglishRose13 · 11/02/2018 17:26

5'3 and I like being short.

Hippadippadation · 11/02/2018 17:27

5ft 4 inches. I like it. It's average. Although I'm sure clothes are being cut for people with longer limbs nowadays. Every single pair of trousers / jeans I buy nowadays seem to be really really long. I'm having to buy from the petite section and I've never shopped in there in all my born days.

uncoolnn · 11/02/2018 17:28

I'm 5 foot 5 so distinctly average Smile

Readermumof3 · 11/02/2018 17:30

5ft 7...I feel small against DH has he's over 6ft as is DS1 now, but with my friends I feel a bit like Gulliver, especially if I wear heels.

weebarra · 11/02/2018 17:30

4ft 10. I don't like being so short, but that's life. Shopping is hard, I always have to think about taking stuff up. We holidayed in Holland last year, I was unable to look in a mirror or retrieve things from cupboards for the whole week. My oldest is in P6 (10) and most of his friends are taller than me.
