Just wondering about this!

How many children have you got?
How many children do you want? Or did you want?
Do you ever get broody?
What age are you?

There’ll be no more babies for me but I do get a little broody from time to time!🙁

I’ll start,
I’ve 2 children
Wanted 3
Get broody but less so as they grow up, age 3/5
I’m 38

I'm 31 and have 2 (3 and 4) used to want 3 but now as life is getting easier and I'm getting little bits of free time to myself I'm far too happy with my life/too selfish to go through it all again. 2 it is!

AngelsWithSilverWings · 08/02/2018 07:54

I’m 47 with 2 DC age 12 and 9 through adoption. Don’t get broody anymore. Said we would only adopt a third if we were contacted about a sibling being born. That now looks unlikely and even if it did happen I don’t think we could due to our age. We feel complete.

Heatherbell1978 · 08/02/2018 08:00

Got 2. Boy and a girl. I had my daughter a year ago at 39 so I feel like I'm done. I think if I could cope better with babies/toddlers I would have another but I struggle with the sleepless nights and general toil at this age.

LolaTheDarkdestroyer · 08/02/2018 08:36

I have 8...Had my first at 18 last at 36 😱

RowenasDiadem · 08/02/2018 08:39

Have three, desperately want one more. Hubby doesn't. It's painful to think I'll never have another. I wish DH would change his mind. I dutifully take my pill every single day and on time but fuck do I wish it would fail.

RowenasDiadem · 08/02/2018 08:39

Oh and I'm 36. Still time yet.

Effic · 08/02/2018 08:41

Have 1.
Never had any desire to have any more. Never been broody but then again I really didn’t enjoy the baby years so not a surprise.
I’m 45

Sarahh2014 · 08/02/2018 08:42

I have 1
Wanted 1
Only get Broody if I'm hungover 😊

ScreamingValenta · 08/02/2018 08:42

None and never really felt broody. I'm 43 and post-hysterectomy so definitely remaining child-free.

StylishMummy · 08/02/2018 09:46

I've got 2, always wanted 3 or 4 but both DC we're severely premature (pre 29 weeks) so not sure we can go through that again. We may look at fostering or adoption in the future when DC are a little older. I've always wanted to be surrounded by children

MrsStinkey · 08/02/2018 09:53

I'm 30 and have 2. Always said we'd have 2 but after DD1s traumatic birth I changed my mind to just 1 for a while! Took 3 1/2 years to pluck up the courage to do it again and there's 41/2 years between my DD'S. I would love another now as would DH but we know financially we can't really have another. We have a nice life the way things are and a third would mean us all sacrificing something. Makes me a bit sad but I love my DDs to bits and know how lucky I am to have them.

Mammyloveswine · 08/02/2018 09:55

Im 30 and have a 2 year old and a 5 week old. I want a third but DH not keen... he has started talking about "if we have another". Would probably wait until the little one is in nursery though.. we are both twins so we sre slightly nervous that baby 3 might be 3 and 4!

MrsStinkey · 08/02/2018 09:56

I have strongly protested against DH's idea of having a vasectomy though. Never say never!

BitchQueen90 · 08/02/2018 10:00

I'm 27, have just one 4 year old and don't want any more.

People always say to me "you're still young, you'll change your mind" but I know I won't.

Kim82 · 08/02/2018 10:02

I have 4 (eldest is a boy, the other 3 are girls. Dc aged 16, 13, 10 and 3). I didn’t have a number in my head of how many dc I have but I am done with having babies. I’m almost 36 and don’t feel broody in the slightest, the thought of having more horrifies me!

Cath2907 · 08/02/2018 10:04

One and I only want one she is 7!

youcantalwaysgetwhatyouwantt · 08/02/2018 10:06

I have 3, I didn't see myself having children in my teenage years until I met my boyfriend (husband now) and it actually happened.

I don't get broody with other babies but when I look back at pictures of my now17 weeks baby I get a bit broody.......there will be no more!!

Pikehau · 08/02/2018 10:08
  1. Ds6, dd3.5, ds7m

Always thought of 3 but was happy and made peace with 2, plus life was getting so much easier! then got ds. Best but hardest thing ever.

No not broody. After ds I was a bit sad that I would never be pregnant and give birth again. There is (for me) something lovely (lazy) about being a mum feeling your baby but your body is doing the work! I was also fortunate to have easy births and they were pretty amazing.

What age are you? I am 36 and felt I was as old as the hills being pregnant the 3rd time. It wasn’t easy!

youcantalwaysgetwhatyouwantt · 08/02/2018 10:10

^ I'm 27.

user1490806299 · 08/02/2018 10:12

Two, aged 5 and 7. No more for me. Having a baby and toddler with bad mental health problems was so awful that I am done. My health is good now and dc are easy to take care of. Life is good, finally.

I am 42.

MaryShelley1818 · 08/02/2018 10:14

I'm 39 and have one baby DS age 9wks today.
We originally wanted 2 but not sure I can even contemplate another baby in the very near future so my age might prevent that by the time I feel ready.

VileyRose · 08/02/2018 10:16

I'm 30. They are 13, 12, 4 and 1.

LittleMissDancersmum · 08/02/2018 10:17

I have had 3

First one stillborn at 37 weeks - would be 10
Second is 9
Last is 2.5

Never get broody and deffo do not want more I'm 30 apparently to young to get sterilised 🙄 even tho it's recommended I don't have any more Confused

Keepingupwiththejonesys · 08/02/2018 10:17

I'm 26 and have 3 , age 5,3 and almost 1. I'm broody all the time, I would absolutely love another but I truly believe I'm one of them women who will always be broody. Stopping at the three we have makes sense in every way, for space, financially, my sanity haha! I know having no more is the right thing for us but I'm still sad that this is the case.

Keepingupwiththejonesys · 08/02/2018 10:19

Littlemiss...firstly I'm so sorry for your loss. Second, I'd ask for another opinion, push if its something you want. 2 of my sils have recently been sterilized, one is 30 and one is 31. One has 3 children and one has 4.
