Hello there. HORSE UPDATE
TheMaddHugger
what are the odds that I happened to lurking and read the original [redacted] thread. The similarities struck me too.
I’m the person who had the opposite issue; moved in to find a couple of horses insitu.
All is well in no-horsey-land. The birds are singing, the sun is shining.
We did end up having various niggles with the difficult people who owned one of the horses. They demanded their other property they’d left here, we said fine, they said they couldn’t take it after all, we got rid of it. They demanded the shelter they had built, we said fine, they said it was too much hassle, so we kept it.
If anyone remembers there were two horses with two different situations (one looked after by a group, the other owned by the person making our lives difficult). The group have found a lovely new home for their horse, and since fallen out with the other owner (colour me shocked). I occasionally see the difficult person around and she pretends she doesn’t know me whilst I smile sweetly.
It was horrible having our new home infringed upon, but now it feels like mt sanctuary again. All my daffodils I’ve planted are just coming up, and I never have to worry about some selfish plonker blocking my drive or letting her dogs crap in my garden. I can also wander around my fields.
Actually this year we are planning to join a re-wilding project to encourage wildlife back to the fields. Last year we had so many wildflowers spring up.
Some people just expect you to give them what is yours. It’s fine to say no to them. They are more than happy to say no to you.
