An update on the earlier thread.

OP posts:
buttfacedmiscreant · 04/02/2018 18:05

I think I'd be home on Sundays for the near future.

BrendasUmbrella · 04/02/2018 18:20

With the benefit of hindsight it might have been better to inform her that her stuff would be removed by X date, but it's done now. I would expect her to try and escalate though. (I don't see much point in getting your side in with the police first. No crime has been committed, would they be interested? File it in their local gossip database?) You may as well just wait and see. Or pay for an hour with a solicitor and get some advice.

Whatshallidonowpeople · 04/02/2018 18:23

If it's obvious she has been turning up every Sunday how didn't you know?

wherethewildrosesgrow · 04/02/2018 18:34

The police wouldn't be interested in trespass, unfortunately its a civil matter, and op needs to put up 'trespassers will be prosecuted sign'.
I would just leave it for now, just one of you go out in the car next Sunday, get one of those inflatable dolls in the passengers seat (a la Del Boy), then whoever is left behind go and lurk around the stables, she if she dares turn up. you also need outdoor cctv, and a sign on the gate stating that the area is covered by cctv....do you know if you share any boundaries with this neighbour op ? I'm still betting that she may of been trying to claim your land/stables for herself

DrRanjsRightEyebrow · 04/02/2018 18:37

@Whatshallidonowpeople it is obvious in retrospect.

timeisnotaline · 04/02/2018 19:14

I’d be home on Sunday for a while too unfortunately.

Whatshallidonowpeople · 04/02/2018 19:21

How on earth is it obvious then?

mummmy2017 · 04/02/2018 19:26

Wow, the cheek of some people

BarbaraOcumbungles · 04/02/2018 19:29

It’s really hard to work out what is going on without he first part of he thread. Did the woman know she needed to move her stuff by x date?

It’s really annoying when people delete threads then start another thread about it!

BarryTheKestrel · 04/02/2018 19:34

She is definitely winning CF of 2018 so far!

CandleWithHair · 04/02/2018 19:57

Barbara yes the OP gave her a more than generous timeline to move her shit, although I don’t believe there was a specific date set. They don’t know where she lives, so this was all done verbally.

CandleWithHair · 04/02/2018 19:58

Actually, I might be wrong about no specific date. IIRC, the CF was told they would be moving horse + foal in on a certain weekend.

notapizzaeater · 04/02/2018 19:59

She shouldn't have needed a date to move the stuff, how can she think it was ok to leave the stuff there because the previous owner said it was ok.

CandleWithHair · 04/02/2018 20:16

Anyway, the stuff you’ve dumped was your property OP. Unless the CF can produce some sort of rental agreement for the stables, she hasn’t got even a stump of a toe on a leg to stand on. I’d get the situation formalised with a solicitor so if she causes you any more grief you can officially tell her to get to fuck

LapdanceShoeshine · 04/02/2018 20:16

iirc the CF said from the start she had no intention of moving her stuff - ever - & doubled down with the padlock.

But she was given at least 2 months notice that OP needed the stable.

OVienna · 04/02/2018 22:18

And if CF can produce an agreement, I'd steer her towards the seller's solicitors. She can be their problem.

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 04/02/2018 22:23

Oooohhhh @FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse is on this thread!!! I may have spent several hours reading your three threads today. I only read your posts by the end cos I do have a life and housework to do other threads to read

Hissy · 04/02/2018 23:02

Genuinely, don’t give this a second thought

The stables are yours, she was clearly told that she couldn’t keep her stuff there, and to remove it.

She was given 8 weeks

She bought a padlock

Removing her padlock from your property and clearing the space is absolutely your right.

cantsleepclownwilleatme · 04/02/2018 23:16

I can't believe people are suggesting op should have done anything other than what she did. Op bought a property, there was stuff left at property, op disposed of it.

If anything the op should be warning the CF never to step foot on their property again as it's trespassing.

GentleJones · 04/02/2018 23:25

Glad peace and harmony remain for you GoFuckChris, what a nightmare situation.

Titbits, this sewing lady sounds quite nuts. I’d be tempted to try and retrieve her fabric and make a scarecrow out of it. Hope she doesn’t cause you any further worry especially now you have horses living in the stable.

GentleJones · 04/02/2018 23:25

Sorry, meant FuckYouChris BlushGrin

HeebieJeebies456 · 04/02/2018 23:37

i think you should install some cctv in case she vandalises your property or hurts your horses for revenge....

SabineUndine · 04/02/2018 23:45

Can you put a lock on your gate on Sunday’s so she can’t get in without climbing over which would probably be breaking and entering?

cantsleepclownwilleatme · 04/02/2018 23:52

@SabineUndine they did!! Cf jumped over gate and was mad they had locked it so she couldn't get her car in.

Oldsu · 05/02/2018 02:29

So there was a week between her visits a whole week for a passing thief to see there was an interesting lock on a stables where there might me something nickable and duly broke in and nicked it maybe the day before you moved the horses in
