It's awful. She either needs lessons or just hire an expert.

Don't give a shit about the royals, but she's pregnant and didn't she have HG again? Even with the best treatment available (and no doctor implying that anti nausea drugs would be bad for baby and you should go home and just try harder to keep drinks down. Not that I'm bitter.) as soon as she felt queasy it must still take it out of you.

I agree with this. I think she actually looks happy and radiant at the moment. Like a huge weight has been lifted.

I think her makeup is nice, natural with a fashionable cats eye. I wish I looked half as good as her.

If you compare with photos of non-official events where she is wearing none or very little make-up, she looks so much prettier, younger and less tired.

Of course people will judge her appearance, what else is there to discuss? How is that cruel? She chose to be in the public eye, is more than happy to wear revealing clothes on public occasion, it's all part of the game.

There are enough photos of her haidresser and the team following her, I have no idea if there's a make-up artist in there, but let's not try to pretend she is not surrounded by help.

Life tragedies aside, this really is one of the most depressing kind of threads on mumsnet.

I can only imagine that idiots who start threads like this are just overwhelmingly thick with a very strange sense of what is actually important in life.

Actually, OP, there's no 'of course' about it. You don't have to comment on her appearance. It's really, really crap to do that. She's a person fulfilling a public role.

She's pregnant with her third child, and suffers from hg. She looks just fine.

I looked at the most recent images on the Daily Fail and I think she looks beautiful. Glowing!

I like her and mostly like her clothes. She looks pretty good for having been so poorly in pregnancy. However, I don't think she's changed her make up style in yonks and perhaps could do with a slight refresh? I think she puts it on nicely though and always looks fresh and natural.

I like the hypocrisy of some posters. Read threads about Kim Kardashian, and it's apparently acceptable to be nasty. Have a simple opinion about Kate Middleton, and it's an attack against women's right. Come on.

At least she looks like a real person. She is also I think naturally very pretty.

She doesn't look "current" because she doesn't look like either a drag queen in panstick or a blow up doll with false eyelashes. I find the current fashion for highlighters, thick dark foundation, and false eyelashes quite disturbing to look at. It's certainly not classy.

I totally don’t get this. I was inspired by this thread to go off and look up some photos of her, and can’t see anything wrong. She just has a smiley quite natural-looking face and the good fortune to actually look nice when she laughs (unlike me, I look like a cackling witch). I’m genuinely interested to know what you think she ought to look like, OP.

Oh wind your necks in. As I said i think Kate is an attractive person and when she's make up free she's very pretty. However her make up on this trip does not flatter her.

I think youre a little harsh. She's pregnant. The hormones can play havoc with your skin, your makeup can easily appear totally different from what it used to (I speak from experience! Currently prego and the same makeup routine for years but I get told annoyingly that I look ill!)
I think she looks pretty alright as she is, nothing wrong with doing your own makeup. Rather she looks like a normal human than a Kardashian/Towie cast member caked to the nines all the time.
I think We should advocate her look as much as possible. It should be okay to look less than airbrushed and perfect all the time. Young girls are already being damaged by the Instagram makeup effect as it is.
