To think Kate Middleton needs to hire a make up artist

Does she still do her own make up?

It's awful. She either needs lessons or just hire an expert.

The best version of herself

Sheesh. I've heard it all now.

NewYearNiki · 31/01/2018 22:37

She's pregnant with 2 young children - of course she looks tired.

Yes the shopping, cooking, cleaning and running a home with no domestic help really tires her out. Confused

She does fuck all and has a team of nannies and domestic staff.

PortiaCastis · 31/01/2018 22:37

Well who cares about her slap, if she didn't use any she'd be slagged off if she hired a mua she'd still be slagged off so just let her be.
At least she seems happy

Viviennemary · 31/01/2018 22:37

I am not a fan of royals. But I think as royals go Kate is OK. I don't think there is usually anything wrong with her appearance. She usually looks very nice. Apart from the odd mistake like that awful dress last night.

Waitinforaflamin · 31/01/2018 22:38

Best version of herself ... according to whose beauty standards? Hmm

getsorted21 · 31/01/2018 22:38

Isn’t it just because she doesn’t have botox when she’s pregnant?

TheCatsPaws · 31/01/2018 22:38

I’m one for fake lashes and lipstick daily yet when I was pregnant with my son, I felt dreadful and looked shit. Leave her alone.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 31/01/2018 22:38

Of course she gives a shiny shit about make up, otherwise she wouldn’t be wearing it.

She can be heavy handed with it.

GladAllOver · 31/01/2018 22:39

Come on OP. Post up a large picture of yourself so we can see how your makeup compares with Kate's.

You didn't ask AIBU, but you are.

Blondielongie · 31/01/2018 22:39

Do you think William's bald head ages him? Maybe he should get someone to do something about his hair, a wig or a hat or something....... Wink

AllPowerfulLizardPerson · 31/01/2018 22:39

OP probably isn't in a public role, some of which is to be decorative.

Her appearance is totally irrelevant to the grooming choices of people in the public eye.

i'd be more interested in S&B coiffing advice for Trump (on a wild hairy note, I think Boris has already been done)

PortiaCastis · 31/01/2018 22:40

Best version of herself !

Oh fgs

Lets see your mugshot OP and we'll tear you apart

UrsulaPandress · 31/01/2018 22:40

I think William should have worn a hat.

Wheelerdeeler · 31/01/2018 22:41

Oh relax will you? There's 95 photos of her on daily mail so of course people are going to comment on her appearance. She has a full time hairdresser. Why shouldn't She? She's "on show" all the time. She has assistants. It's not like she has to do her own make up. She choses too.....

OP posts:
LizzieSiddal · 31/01/2018 22:41

But I think her make up lets her down

Let’s her down?Grin I think you’ve let yourself down OP.

Originalfoogirl · 31/01/2018 22:42

best version of herself.

You mean have the best colouring in on her face?

Having good make up isn’t being the best version of yourself, being a good person, using your position to make the world a better place and raising great children you chose to have is being the best version of yourself and as far as I can see, she is doing that.

RoseWhiteTips · 31/01/2018 22:42

She is lovely.

LizzieSiddal · 31/01/2018 22:42

I doubt very much she’s got a “fulltime hairdresser”.

SaucyJack · 31/01/2018 22:43

Meh. It's her face.

If she wants to look like she just stepped out of a 70s Avon book, then that's her prerogative.

PandaPieForTea · 31/01/2018 22:43

Do the other royals have makeup artists?

If she decides to change her makeup, wouldn’t it be normal to then do the revised makeup herself? So just get some advice and products.

I don’t have an opinion on her makeup, it’s such a personal taste thing and I assume hers fits her personal taste. But I do find the idea of having a makeup artist a bit odd.

Riverside2 · 31/01/2018 22:43

OP "I'm commenting on a public figure who let's be honest has the resources to be the best version of herself"

So what? Maybe she doesn't want to allocate time for that.

I'm no Royalist but if all the duties the role entails, I don't think fussing about makeup is one. And yes I'd be very annoyed if professional makeup artist was added to those requirements.

I also think she looks fine. Do you expect male royals to put more effort in? She is smart, that's her "job" dress code met.

It's bloody depressing that a woman in the public eye warrants this kind of comment.

BackforGood · 31/01/2018 22:43

YABVU and quite sad that you put so much value on how pristine someone's make up is. What an odd priority to have in life.

Rebeccaslicker · 31/01/2018 22:44

This is what happened to Diana when fergie came along. At first she could do no wrong, but when there was a different royal bride for a younger prince, suddenly Diana wasn't perfect any more...

I am no kate fan, I think she's very vanilla, but I imagine she is hugely relieved that Meghan markle has taken some of the attention from her!

PortiaCastis · 31/01/2018 22:45

I don't ever look at the Daily Fail, pics or not

Passmethecakeplease · 31/01/2018 22:45

YABU.

Women get judged enough for their appearance as it is, we don't need more negative comments about someone's appearance on the internet (or anywhere else for that matter).
