Just that really.

OP of course you can. I recommend you don't start off on the big boys (mods)
I didn't have one of those but they are for cloud chasers (more vape clouds/smoke)- and more experienced vapers - not what your looking for. You're after the throat hit.
You need a beginners one - There are lots, kangertech & Aspire etc.
I recommend Aspire or kangertech cartomizers/tanks along with the same brand or any 510 thread 1100 mah battery capacity. That's a good starter kit. Don't buy the cheapy £5 650mah small battery ones in shops, as those tanks you get with those don't last long and leak like hell.
Steer clear of buying batteries on eBay - lots of fakes around. Only buy from from eliquid websites. Good websites I recommend are: eliquid world, go-liquid, total eliquid, Shop 2 stop.
You can buy your juices online too.
However if your going to go into a actual vape shop then prepare to pay a little more & completely ignore what I have just said above Grin
You need to start off on 18mg nicotine, that's enough.
I started on that and managed to get down to 6mg.
It's so easy to quit on the ecig!

With the juices you will notice the contents: PG (propylene glycol) & VG (vegetable glycerin)
PG is throat hit - VG is vapour/clouds. PG has a tendency to irritate the throat, it did mine, so a 50/50 PG/VG is great. But you might want to start off on 70% VG first for throat hit n see how you get on with it.
With all e cigs you need to change the coils around every 1-2 weeks, you will know when it needs changing because it will start to taste a little burnt, or vapour production will be low n it just won't feel right. You can buy the right coils for you tank in packs of 5.
Ok, well I wish you well on your journey, you must switch as I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
I would also like to say I enjoyed writing my essay on here... bye 👋 Smile

Me and DP have been vaping for about 18 months now after smoking for around 10 years of 10-15 a day.
We just upgraded from basic models from Vapouriz who I would definitely recommend, their online help people are great and the liquids are really great quality imo.
We now have the 'mini' model from Vapresso from our local vape shop (that has a great loyalty card system - we got a £25 voucher for spending over £70), we went in and basically just told them our budget and that's what they recommended. It's still a basic vape but it has a removable battery and is top filling, which are the 2 features I would 100% recommend!

It took us both a couple of weeks to stop completely and I'll have the odd cig on a night out with my one smoking friend but I feel a lot better for it and this time of year its nice to not have to go out in the garden in the cold. And my car smells delicious.

I have an Aspire 'throat hit' one as well. I like it 👍🏽

MissionItsPossible · 30/01/2018 18:10

I use it with a battery that can switch from 'throat hit' to 'cloudy' if I swap the tanks.

NoqontroI · 30/01/2018 18:15

Ooh like the sound of the throat hit one. May need to go shopping;-)

crazymumofthree · 30/01/2018 18:21

Yes you can! My DH smoked 20 a day and enjoyed it and didn't ever want to give up! I admit I was a little pushy and after a while he tried it and hasn't looked back since! He can't even stand to be in the car when his brother smokes now, he says it makes him feel sick!

BishopBrennansArse · 30/01/2018 18:30

I'm not saying it's not an improvement on smoking but

Guardsman18 · 30/01/2018 19:08

... and this is when it gets difficult!

Haven't bought cigs though.

You would be better off going cold turkey. Vaping is still too new to make any confident claims about its safety - and I would be extremely surprised if it doesn't turn out to be cancerous.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 30/01/2018 19:28

How do you mix your own? I did look in to it once but it all seemed really complicated

Have a look here: ecigvape.com/

It sounds a little fiddly at first perhaps, but very quickly becomes second nature and is absolutely worth it quality and price wise

NoqontroI · 30/01/2018 23:39

Thanks puzzled.
