AIBU Trollhunting is ruining AIBU

I understand troll hunting if the OP is giving dangerous advice. However, increasingly every single poster is being grilled by troll hunters about every aspect of their post. It makes a thread hard to follow and really boring to read.

I don't understand why the troll hunters do it, there is an easy to use report button. I have read several threads in the last week where the OP was subjected to constant snide comments about the veracity of their post. I think if these troll hunters persist then people won't want to post at all.

It's subjective though isn't it? Some days I post a lot, others not at all. That list is anywhere from 3-8 posts in an hour. Perhaps they double or triple that on another day. So what?

I name change all the time but never 'hide behind' a name change. I just do it to maintain my anonymity. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think it should be impossible to name change within a thread. It would stop any sock puppetry including accidental sock puppetry.

It's all a bit pathetic really. This was a thread about what's spoiling Mumsnet and proud troll-hunters came on to derail it. How unutterably sad to AS check and then post it, waiting for approval like a toddler that's managed their first poo. Who cares how often anybody posts? It was ganging up on a poster who wasn't even posting. How that warrants pom-poms I don't know but it's embarrassing.

Some of us are mentioned - again - this morning. There are a few posters that I recognise and like on MNTrolls but the rest of them seem incapable of independent thought and yes, the fawning is embarrassing.

One chatboard would cease to function without the other - and it's not Mumsnet, that's for sure. All that space to talk about anything... and all they can manage is Mumsnet and ripping posters here to shreds. So much for the laudable troll-hunting mantra of the 'protecting posters'. What a joke that was!

Anyway I don't want to give them anymore airtime here, they're leaving greasy smudges on the windows.
