As above (at the risk of sounding tin foil hat) and if we're not, what the hell is going on in the world, what's causing it?

OP posts:

It doesn't need to be a huge "conspiracy". Just a variety of people with power using that power for their own gain.

What results is a powerless underclass who is left unable to fight back against a heavily armed law-making elite.

If the government passed a law tomorrow that, I don't know, eating food was punishable by death - how would you be able to resist it? Where could you hide? How could you stop them if they came to take you away?

Once upon a time, the peasants could revolt, kill their overlords and arm themselves against invaders of their land.

We're vulnerable, never more than a few laws away from total annihilation.

Brita filters don't remove oestrogen or flouride.
Reverse osmosis pumps don't even get rid of it all. Prolonged heating + ROP is the cheapest way, and a decent set up would cost thousands for a home user.

Not just to turn troops trans. To weaken men, reduce the fertility of both genders - there's a lot to be gained by a few, by conveniently ignoring this issue.

tendergreenbean · 23/01/2018 17:10

Also, xenoestrogens which are endlessly harder to denature are present in plenty of plastics and foods.

The current popularity of soy being another factor. Full of xenoestrogens and heavily marketed as a healthy meat alternative.

"Hello local bobby, eating is illegal for the underlings now. You can either help us enforce this and get food and security for you and your family. Or starve slowly to death with the others, whilst we use medical technology to subject your loved ones to the most unspeakable pain imaginable. We can even stop them dying so we can torture them, ceaselessly, for decades. Which is it?"

tendergreenbean · 23/01/2018 17:21

Perhaps "easily" was the wrong word re: peasants revolting. Possible. It was possible. And it was sword against sword. Not fists and a kitchen knife against a drone/nukes/assault rifle. There's no longer a possibility of resistance.

tendergreenbean · 23/01/2018 17:24

Hitler rose to power through a system of government that couldn't change laws overnight either - he did alright.

whooptifeckindo · 23/01/2018 17:27

You should all watch Viking Preparedness on YouTube- you'll have so much fun. Really feeds off the paranoia and dresses it up as religion and off grid preparedness.

Vitalogy · 23/01/2018 17:27

*Brita filters don't remove oestrogen or flouride. Exactly, I looked into it, cost a bloody fortune.
What about the pushing of the trans issue to make it easier for the merging of human and AI.

@whoop "just cause you're paranoid, don't mean they're not after you"

tendergreenbean · 23/01/2018 17:33

@strawberries I thought I was clear. On an industrial scale with the water treatment we currently use, it would be a fairly easy addition, and cost less than the cost to the NHS and society incurred by ignoring it.
On a home user scale, it's expensive. Like it would be if we all had to entirely treat our own water at home.

This thread is like paranoia 101

Vitalogy · 23/01/2018 17:41

Most police officers and soldiers are ordinary working or middle class people. Many times through history they haven't done what is best for the masses because they were following orders.

whooptifeckindo · 23/01/2018 17:42

I'd suggest you look at the prepper topic on here but most of the people on there are utterly sane and reasonable. Just lots of good advice and good humour.

oestrogen from water

Stuff made my hair fall out.

tendergreenbean · 23/01/2018 17:46

Activated carbon filters remove some but not all steroid oestrogen/estradiol but as per my understanding would not remove manure derived oestrogens. Or most xenoestrogens. Or fluoride.

What study found Brita removed oestrogen?

tendergreenbean · 23/01/2018 17:51

Plus, filtering water at home is not the norm.
And avoidance of tap water is considered the realm of "paranoid conspiracy theorists".
All I see is your agreement that oestrogen laced water is bad, most people drink it, and there's no public health warning against it, nor no attempt to stop it.

tendergreenbean · 23/01/2018 17:52

Nor an attempt*

Tap water has plastic in it, although I do still drink it, it's not a good thought knowing plastic is in our food and water 😢

tendergreenbean · 23/01/2018 18:02

@strawberriesaregood there have been countless successful uprisings and revolts. The French Revolution, for starters. American independence, for seconds. The Haitian revolution. The Chinese revolution. Taiping, Young Turks.
It's worth remembering too that one could always run and hide in the past and scrape a reasonable possibility of survival. No longer.
