I hate it dh loves it.I like my own space when trying to get to sleep full stop but he's very much the opposite.so AIBU? I don't think I am 😁

I have alot of nightmares and fall asleep much quicker on DH's arm.

He likes his space though, so we usually cuddle and then fall asleep separately.

lol 'fuck off to your own side of the bed' - Iv said these exact words to dh. I can't stand being touched when asleep

lookingforthecorkscrew · 21/01/2018 10:30

I hate sharing the bed with ANYONE. I dream of my own bed one day...

MumOfTwoooo · 23/01/2018 18:08

Oh I love it! Especially when its cold! but as soon as summer comes its separate sides for us!

mumpoints · 23/01/2018 18:27

I had a laparoscopy years ago and ever since cannot bear to have my shoulders touched! Something to do with the gas I was told. So now I move far far away and we've even bought a superking sized bed.

MsHomeSlice · 24/01/2018 17:06

our favourite bed argument is this

Me to DH:You are on MY side
DH: Points out my head is on HIS pillow
ME: It's ALLLLLLL my side, now moooove!

Poor man ends up right on the edge too, since the cat also likes to share his space!

Gatehouse77 · 24/01/2018 17:08

Nah, we get too hot within minutes...and I don't mean the sexy kind Wink

AHedgehogCanNeverBeBuggered · 24/01/2018 17:11

DH and I used to spend the night thus: he cuddles me, I crawl away, he crawls after me, I crawl away, he crawls after me, I fall out of bed and kick gently encourage him back to his own side, whence the pantomime begins again.

I have now trained him to remain on his own side when sleeping on pain of pain death!

SpareChangeDownTheSofa · 24/01/2018 17:12

Hug for him. Roll for you 😂😂

Hug and roll. Don’t do a Chandler

Came on to say this, scrolled as I knew I'd be beaten to it and I have been Grin

justifiede · 24/01/2018 17:18

Do the hug and roll like Ross in Friends

Whatthefoxgoingon · 24/01/2018 17:21

DH and I both love sleeping in each other’s arms thank goodness. We are simpatico Smile

maddiemookins16mum · 24/01/2018 17:22

I tolerate it for about 5 minutes then get into my own separate sleeping position where we're still 'touching' but not entwined in each others arms like a Meg Ryan movie. I just get too hot plus I do this ridiculous thing where I have to rub my feet together to get to sleep and I need my own space to do that.

Plus I get too hot.

Marvellousmarge · 24/01/2018 17:27

We can't sleep unless touching.

Pathetic ,but god it's lovely.

Pandoraslastchance · 24/01/2018 18:27

Only enjoy cuddling when it's the middle of winter. Other than that it's separate duvets and my side/your side.

StrawberryFieldsWhenever · 24/01/2018 18:32

It's hard sleeping beside my OH.. I swear he's part koala part boa constrictor.. I end up dozing rather than sleeping and being knackered in the morning. That said though, I wouldn't change it at all, love feeling close to him, and it's rare that I get to sleep over so it's something I happily put up with.

ocelot41 · 24/01/2018 18:32

We touch toes from opposite sides of the bed - that's it. Anything else is like grrrnnnhhhaarrrgh! GET OFF!

PersonalClown · 25/01/2018 21:50

Nope. Gerroff me.

I think the first night DP stayed over, I said 'I don't mean to be rude but I'm going to turn over now.'

I think his response was 'Thank Fuck for that. I don't do cuddly sleeping!'

10 years later, a superking sized bed and 2 dogs in the middle make sure it don't happen anyway!

ineedwine99 · 25/01/2018 21:51

Hate it! Husband loves it, he gets 5 mins then its back on his side so i can sleep. Its the only plus side to me having a cold, I get the spare room, double bed all to myself Grin

MyRelationshipIsWeird · 25/01/2018 21:52

I found it so annoying that I bought separate beds Grin

DP is a fidgety sleeper, he's like a salmon flipping around on a river bank, his legs flailing and mattress bouncing at every turn. He also likes getting over on my side of the bed cuddling up with me.

We each have a 4ft small double, so now we can roll from one to the other when we want to get snuggly and then retire to our own beds (with nose strips/ear plugs for the snoring Angry ) and sleep peacefully. I do hold his hand across the 2" gap to say goodnight Grin

He moaned about it to start with, but he wasn't the one being kept awake half the night and he is also a big napper, whereas I get one chance to sleep, between midnight and 7.30am so I'm not having any bugger ruining it.

Life is too short for a bad night's sleep.

RatOnnaStick · 25/01/2018 21:57

I have a huggy pillow specifically to stop encroachment into my sleeping space. We intuitively turn in-sync in the night anyway to avoid breath on my face and errant draped over me . No thank you.
