Dp cuddles into me then eventually after he's snoozing but before he properly falls asleep he magically just retreats giving me space, then it's ruined by the snoring though

I don't sleep really so it works quite well (apart from the snoring) because I'd get way too hot and claustrophobic otherwise

Gileswithachainsaw · 20/01/2018 22:52

If you could have sex without touching would you? Grin

Is that taking non cuddly sleeping too far?

MotherOfBeagles · 20/01/2018 22:52

Nope. Cuddle then off to other sides of the bed to sleep. Especially lovely in our Super king size bed 😍

However my mum and stepdad, my brother and his wife and my husbands best friends and their respective wives all sleep intertwined. In their own beds lol. But literally in each other's arms, wrapped round each other legs intertwined like a big knot. We were talking about this a few weeks ago that's how I know.

I literally can't think of anything worse!

AnotherDunroamin · 20/01/2018 22:53

DH and I are both very cuddly in the day but hate sleeping like that.
We have two single mattresses on a Kingsize bedframe. Get into bed, kiss/cuddle on one mattress, then roll onto separate mattresses with separate duvets so we're basically unaware of each other's presence at all until we wake up in the morning Grin Bliss!

LuluJakey1 · 20/01/2018 22:54

I like DH to cuddle in behind me like spoons for a while but then it gets to hot and he has to move because I can't sleep. He cuddles back up to me in the morning from about half 5 until he gets up at half 6.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 20/01/2018 22:57

I've never liked cuddling, fine for a few minutes but I couldn't fall asleep like that. DH and I have separate bedrooms, and honestly I would find it hard to go back to sharing a bed for sleep. We did over the summer when we were away on holiday and neither of us slept very well.

brownelephant · 20/01/2018 22:59

hate it.
it's the wrong kind of warm
and I'm a 'tosser', move positions a lot. which oh doesn't like.

LucyMorningStar · 20/01/2018 23:01

No no you're not bu! I hate sharing the bed full stop! 😁

Ollivander84 · 20/01/2018 23:03

Your side. My side. There's a reason I have a super king size bed < draws line down middle >

At weekends we lie cuddled up for hours in the morning, sometimes with the electric blanket on, and the cat. Lovely. At nights, when I actually want to sleep, any part of his body touching any part of mine is horribly hot and makes me feel quite murderous.

9GreenBottles · 20/01/2018 23:10

We have a cuddle (when I quite often fall asleep on his chest, then a snuggle (him spooning me) which usually leads to him falling asleep first, and after about 30 mins we sleep at opposite sides of a six foot bed for the rest of the night Grin

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 20/01/2018 23:10

Dh has just started this after thirty five blinking years together. I keep waking to him snoring in my ear, on my fecking pillow! My side-your side. Seriously, no!

happymummy12345 · 20/01/2018 23:11

Ah this is me and my dh. He would happily cuddle all night. I like to have a cuddle then turn over to sleep.

Slanetylor · 20/01/2018 23:18

My DH isn't a big cuddler. If I wake in the night sometimes I'll climb in with the cuddly child and we'll hug all night!! I would ideally live a big family bed where we could all sleep like puppies on top of each other!!

MsHomeSlice · 20/01/2018 23:20

I like to cosy in to go to sleep, he moans that I suck all the warmth out of him ...I am apparently a heat hoover, but inevitably I wake up gasping for breath and over heated. and I send him back to his own side

Occasionally (three times maybe in 30odd years) I wake up and find he has cuddled up and it's nice, ....like the movies, all arms and legs entwined and pillow sharing..... but generally I am an antisocial bed hogger who mostly sleeps diagonally, like a starfish and cannot bear to be crowded.

A pox on you cuddly sleepers!

AnotherDunroamin · 20/01/2018 23:22

My friend was saying about her parents recently that they have a California King, but her DM sometimes wakes up in the night to find her DF snuggled so close to her that she gets up and walks around the bed to lie in the massive space he's left on "his" side Grin

blackteasplease · 20/01/2018 23:24

Can't abide it. I also like space to spread. Luckily I'm divorced now so that's that sorted.

HermionesRightHook · 20/01/2018 23:25

I am a clinger. DH is not. Apparently I chase over to him when we're asleep, particularly when it's cold.

He has compromised on a cuddle while we get dozy then he does that Friends 'hug and roll' thing. (Which is further grist to the 'Ross is a massive dick' mill.)

squoosh · 20/01/2018 23:32

I like intertwined legs, a bit of bum to bum contact, and don't mind a bit of spooning but doing that actual 'wrapped in each others arms' thing is for short bursts only.

blinkineckmum · 20/01/2018 23:33

I hate it too.

squoosh · 20/01/2018 23:33

A few nights ago DP and I both turned over in bed at the same time to face each other and ended up touching knees

Grin

Did you both grimace in horror at one another and then say 'I do beg your pardon'?

tillytrotter1 · 20/01/2018 23:41

I recall back in college waking up cuddling the future OH and thinking that my arm had dropped off, it was trapped under him and took an hour to get any feeling back into it. We have since graduated to our own rooms, bliss, hate going on holiday and having to listen to his night-time noises.

Lanaorana2 · 20/01/2018 23:42

Hell with humans, heaven with cats.

IfYouDontImagineNothingHappens · 20/01/2018 23:44

Cuddley person is small spoon, gets a cuddle, non-cuddler can then fuck off to the normal side of the bed. Hug and Roll basically.
