... to feel disgusted at fox-chasing toff-twits!

On my way to a local town for lunch today, we had to slow down and stop as a horse came galloping up towards us in the middle of the road. On his back sat a dandified twit who was looking for his hounds. In the nearby field some 100 (I kid you not) other starched twits sat on brainwashed horses with hungry hounds running amok. Traffic swayed and stopped as these twits had clearly lost the little sense they had and were dispersing all over the highway, horses looking dazed at being led among cars at great speed on slippery tarmac. Hounds confusedly sniffing all over the road and verges. How much had these twit-toffs drunk? It was not yet noon!

My friends in our car tried to calm me down saying it must be a drag when all of a sudden a poor defenseless fox jumped on the dry-stone wall looking wild-eyed as it tried to determine whether he was safer making a run for it across a busy road or turn back into a field of crazed, uncontrolled hounds and drunken (British?) twits. The fox froze and the driver of my car sped on as I screamed with panic for the predictable fate of the fox.

Why the f*ck is a supposedly civilized country allowing this kind of savagery to continue?

The Boxing Day hunts up and down the land were the most well attended by foot followers in the last few decades.

Kinda boots any argument that we are all loathed psychos into the long grass.

Fueledwithfairydustandgin
This is why I'm so frustrated with people that hunt. They cannot have a sensible debate. They will always avoid the opportunity for a sensible debate and rehash the same all crap. They always bring class into it

The OP brought class in to it.

mustbemad17 · 14/01/2018 21:32

Ooh yay, more people watching the bloodshed. Although that then raises the question what is the point? Several pro hunt comments have stated it's the thrill of galloping across countryside with hounds...what exactly do those on foot get out of it? Aside from watching bloodshed

Tofftwitty · 14/01/2018 21:32

Santa - nope.

I eat meat.

I have a problem with people turning a blind eye to the conditions of the meat animals they consume whilst baying for blood of people who legally hunt.

SantaClauseMightWork · 14/01/2018 21:32

tofft
You clearly didn't read the op. What is an A-road again?

Tofftwitty · 14/01/2018 21:33

must be - so are you saying everyone who watches on boxing day is a bloodlusting , evil psycho?

mustbemad17 · 14/01/2018 21:34

Tofft how do you know people turn a blind eye? You don't. You don't know how many anti-hunt folk on here campaign for better conditions in the food industry. people are allowed to be irate about more than one topic at a time you know

Tofftwitty · 14/01/2018 21:34

Jeez, that's our whole village. Even the vicar!!! Makes Royston Vasey seem positively genteel in that case.

mustbemad17 · 14/01/2018 21:35

Toft anybody who joins a hunt knowing a fox is potentially going to get ripped apart in front of them? Yeah basically that's how I view them

SantaClauseMightWork · 14/01/2018 21:35

To the whichever of you twats who was supporting fox-hunting by saying animals don't feel the same fear as us, what the fuck all those neuroscience experiments on rodents are done for, eh? They should have asked you first. What a waste of hundreds of millions of dollar in high-tech research. You idiots! That's why May's government is hated so much when foxhunting is raised.

Tofftwitty · 14/01/2018 21:35

Santa.
An A road is an A road.

A motorway is a motorway
A dual carriageway is a dual carriageway.
Hunt was on an A road.

HTH.

mustbemad17 · 14/01/2018 21:38

Santa i wonder if they would say the same about their horses? I mean, if animals can't feel fear etc then that must mean horses can't. Which means a PP's suggestion about drones following hunts for integrity would be perfect!!

Tofftwitty · 14/01/2018 21:41

Hated so much they beat Corbyn's into power, eh Santa?

Mustbemad...so the vicar who turns up to stand with his flock to watch teh hunt set off is an evil bloodlustinhg psycho along with all the old dears beside him,

Tofftwitty · 14/01/2018 21:41

VivaLeBeaver · 14/01/2018 21:41

I think a lot of foot followers especially at traditional Boxing Day meets like seeing the “parade” of hounds and horses. They will attend the meet but not follow the hunt after that. They don’t actually think about what might happen after they set off, or they believe the rubbish about no foxes will be killed as it’s now illegal. So they think they’re taking the kids out to see some nice dogs and horses.

Mustbemad...so the vicar who turns up to stand with his parishioners to watch the hunt set off is an evil bloodlusting psycho along with all the old dears beside him, the small children and everyone and their dog in the village? is that really what you're saying?

SantaClauseMightWork · 14/01/2018 21:42

Tofft

Thanks for the kind correction. Let me rephrase my post on this:

By the way, if I was driving at the national speed limit on a motor way, , dual carriageway or an A-road, I would NEVER put the safety of your "kid" above any other road user, including the hunted fox.HTH

Tofftwitty · 14/01/2018 21:42

So they're all thick then Viva? Nice.

mustbemad17 · 14/01/2018 21:44

Viva it saddens me even that people do that tbh. But i can get the horses & dogs angle.

Toft yes, if the vicar is watching in the hope a fox is going to get shredded then he stands with the rest of them in my opinion. FYI being a vicar doesn't mean a person can't be a psychopath, just in case you didn't know that.

VivaLeBeaver · 14/01/2018 21:44

Not saying that at all Toftitty. Maybe they’re just nice people who don’t realise they’re being lied to.

mustbemad17 · 14/01/2018 21:45

Toft i notice no response to the incident at CHAT? Pack of hunt hounds uncontrolled on private property for over an hour...doesn't really give much credance to the whole 'controlled pack' theory pro hunt folk like to spout

HappyLabrador · 14/01/2018 21:46

Hahaha. Not where I’m from Viva. We knew exactly who and what we were showing solidarity and support for. So did our children whilst they petted the hounds and chatted to the Hunt Master..😄

mustbemad17 · 14/01/2018 21:47

Yuck

Tofftwitty · 14/01/2018 21:47

Same here Happy.

Fab day indeed!
