@babbaloo88 I'm not much of a YouTube watcher but my teens are and they totally do think for ages that these people buy the make up/clothes etc and it's hard to realise we can't just let them fritter hundreds of pounds in Superdrug or boots. My oldest is now into thrift stores and second hand and seems to have worked out it's a job and they get given it or sent it, but I think it is hard for kids not to feel they get a raw deal.
In the summer my ds watched a bit of unboxing and suddenly everywhere we went 'I need a blind bag' (wtf🤦🏻‍♀️) and oh Ryan's got that. We had to point out that Ryan's family had essentially sold out and made loads of money off YouTube. He was too young to understand. I just banned unboxing.

The one that sends me over the edge is #adultheadache that is so wankerish it is almost definitely an unfollow.

I have just read the blurb for that Mumboss talk - it's appallingly written. Hasn't been checked through at all. Surely it's not aimed at/curated by people who write (blogs) for a living?!?

The trouble is like that bizarre £1000 post birth stay some of them went on, there's money in it. There's vulnerable, lonely wonen who want part of it and they are being used. I'm well aware there will be many who can afford it, so I don't mean everyone, but it's scary the reach and influence these accounts have.
