I loathe the word ‘Mama’, I want to poke my own eye out when I see it.

Absolutely no one in my circle is, or has ever been, referred to as 'mama' so I should have have known that these were never going to be my 'tribe'.

@HolyMountain I despise a lot of instamama lingo. The worst is 'you got this.' Said to tired mama with fishfingers in hair standing in front of a wall in scamp and dude and generally just #parentingtheshitoutoflife.

@PavlovaPrincess no one I know has ever stood in front of a wall for a picture either! We are somehow lead to believe these instsmama tics are the norm.

Come to think of it, I've never even seen anyone film themselves in the car for stories or in Homebase. I live in the spiritual home of the instamum but I've never seen it. It's like some weird parallel universe that I'm not sure actually exists.

I often wonder if the personas are the same in real life? Like in the school playground? You'd look like a bit of a dick with shades and lunging and kids going 'mama, mama' so is it all for insta show or are they genuinely just like it all the time?

Surely there has to be a parody instamum account somewhere like deliciously Stella? It would be like shooting fish in a barrel content wise.

Mumofkids - do you really think they're like that all the time? You do realise some things will be staged, right? People can put a sanitised version of their lives on social media. I Do find the worse for not declaring #ads are the saconnes. Actually most of the YouTube ‘celebs’ hardly ever declare when they have been gifted items. I guess they are not under much scrutiny as their audience are younger than the insta mums?
