@Luckingfovely Beeswax Flowers is my favourite. It has the most staying power.

goose1964 · 12/01/2018 20:38

Another Yankee Candles ex fan here.Last year they were good but this year they don't seem to smell of much at all.

MulberryPeony · 12/01/2018 20:49

I bought a St Eval after seeing them recommended lots of times but it’s not a patch on my Diptyque. As well and Diptyque I rate Voluspa and also Matalan own brand (particularly any with pineapple in).

Unicorn81 · 12/01/2018 20:53

Molton brown 3 wick or bath and body works. Yankee us now my 3rd choice

Tequilamockinbird · 12/01/2018 20:56

I used to be a Yankee fan until I discovered Bath & Bodyworks candles from the USA.

They are amazing! I always have to pay for extra luggage allowance on the flight home so I can fill my case bring a couple back Grin

TossDaily · 12/01/2018 20:57

Neom

GinisLife · 12/01/2018 21:05

Voluspa are good and also Root candles. Tangerine & lemongrass is nice.
I was really disappointed with Jo Malone. £42 and it didn't last very long. It burned really fast.

BaffledMummy · 12/01/2018 21:06

Spiezia Organics... have a ylang ylang, lavender and geranium burning now and If I close my eyes I’m transported to the spa. If I open my eyes however I’m surrounded by toys, biscuit crumbs and discarded toddler clothes. Candles are enabling my fantasy.

Neon also amazing

Autumnchill · 12/01/2018 21:06

Unicorn I get my best friend MB candles every Christmas. Gorgeous smell

whiteonesugar · 12/01/2018 21:07

Jo Malone, the white company and Owen Drew are my current favourites

TakingTheWick · 25/01/2018 20:57

Black Plum and Rhubarb by Can To Candle

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 25/01/2018 22:05

I like white company . I reallly want Dyptique but they are a good second and not bad pricing .

No one has mentioned Cire Trvdon yet . The creme de la creme!

They had some Miller Harris in TK for £20 but I was Post xmas skint . Wish I had now Angry

AhhhhThatsBass · 25/01/2018 22:06

Dypthique Baie

Gingersstuff · 25/01/2018 22:16

I'm a candle addict as we have 4 big dogs so I go through a LOT of candles. I find Yankee candles terrible. Love the Ikea ones but my absolute favourites are by Arran Aromatics. Their Wild Gorse is to die for Smile

PullUpsAreTricky · 25/01/2018 22:25

harrogate candle company - divine.
They use essential oils, unlike the many of their competitors.

mimiasovitch · 25/01/2018 22:34

My absolute favourite is St Eval bay and rosemary. I also like the Country Candle company, especially bitter vanilla, though is not been as easy to track that one down lately. I found an online stockist and bought 3, all hidden from eldest daughter!

MulberryPeony · 26/01/2018 15:47

Could I ask a silly question about rosemary scented candles.... doesn’t it smell like you are cooking lamb Blush

DotCottonDotCom · 26/01/2018 16:50

Just tried the Lenor Unstoppables candles and they are good. i can only imagine they were inspired by the numpties using the Unstoppable wash beads as wax melts. Confused

zeezeek · 26/01/2018 17:41

Thanks to whoever posted the link to St Eval candles! Have discovered they have a three wick lavender GrinSmile so have just ordered that and hope it's better than Diptyques lavender!

Generally though, massive diptyque fan here a s always have an ambre, Santa's or, in summer, baies candles in my house.

CaptainHammer · 26/01/2018 17:43

Woodwick and Maple X Whisky are my favourites.

flugelhorn3 · 26/01/2018 17:47

Diptyque if you have the budget - you can really tell the difference, the scent is very natural and lasts ages.

A cheaper option is This Works aromatherapy candles. TK Maxx often has them.

IAmALeafOnTheWindWatchHowISoar · 26/01/2018 19:06

Could anyone recommend one that does a fresh, ozone-y seaside smell please?

notanother11plusmum · 26/01/2018 19:10

I was given a Cire Trvdon candle for Christmas but the giver left the price tag on by mistake and it was £78 so I am unable to light it as I have not yet had a £78 candle moment.

Can't imagine what sort of moment will deserve the candle but I am ready!

mimiasovitch · 26/01/2018 19:16

@MulberryPeony no! It just smells all fresh and herbal. Like radox. Ish. I'm not fond of sweet scents, so this suits me perfectly.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 26/01/2018 19:21

Woodwick Island Coconut, only bought it a couple of weeks ago and love it SO much!
