The thing I like about partylite is that they do burn evenly and don't flame up like some brands (particularly tea lights) - no I've never worked for them or any candle company!

I buy most of my candles from a local seller of soy candles and she is amazing - she does a black pomegranate which is lovely. I think I made a mistake getting her Christmas scent car diffuser though as it's been going forever. Smells awesome but I'm not sure I want a cinnamon smelling car in June!

Hate Yankee, love woodwick.

Luckingfovely · 12/01/2018 15:51

White Company, Diptyique, Jo Malone all heavenly, if spendy.

I can't bear Yankee Candles - they smell cheap and synthetic in comparison to the better quality ones.

But as pp said, TKMaxx / Homesense always have brilliantly good deals on good quality candles - I buy from there all the time.

My newest find is Valentte - Lemongrass and Rosemary - best candle I've ever smelt! And the diffuser is amazing too.

twotired · 12/01/2018 15:53

I like the ones in house of Fraser. Pink grapefruit and mango is my favourite. I bulk buy them in the sales Blush

I've also got a couple of nice ones from next and I like the woodwick ones.

Autumnchill · 12/01/2018 15:54

Woodwick, love Fireside and it makes a lovely fire crackling noise while it burns. Seems to last ages

LaVacheKiri · 12/01/2018 15:56

Love Candle Belle, they're a British company and they do a monthly subscription as well on candles and wax melts. I signed up a few months ago and they smell lovely!

lookingforthecorkscrew · 12/01/2018 15:57

This thread inspired me to use one of my Christmas vouchers to buy a new candle! Just ordered this www.selfridges.com/GB/en/cat/neom-luxury-organics-complete-bliss-standard-candle_401-2000902-1101130/

kaytee87 · 12/01/2018 16:03

Is the white company 'blanc' candle nice?

Yankee candles. Love them, and got a bit of an obsession going on!

readyforapummelling · 12/01/2018 16:20

True Grace is AMAZING. Seashore is my fave.

ranoutofquinoa · 12/01/2018 16:36

Neom any of them! I'm a bit addicted, I got one of the limited edition Jenny Packham ones for Christmas and love it.

ToadOfSadness · 12/01/2018 16:37

Floris.

Yankees make me feel sick. L'Occitane have no smell.

Floris are good, very good, and last ages.

ClaryFray · 12/01/2018 16:38

Yankee candles!

deptfordgirl · 12/01/2018 16:40

Those that like Yankee, which scents are nice? They always smell really sickly to me so have never bought any.

rubybleu · 12/01/2018 16:50

Definitely Neom. We got their 3 wick Christmas candle and it’s absolutely divine. Their diffusers are great as well.

Coastalcommand · 12/01/2018 16:52

Bath and body works ones, but they have to be imported from America :(

ghostyslovesheets · 12/01/2018 16:56

Next are nice - I've had some lovely ones from there and not stupid prices

FooFighter99 · 12/01/2018 16:59

Yankee Candle, Stony Cove - you can get it from Asda in their Simply Home range.

Just got the Jo Malone "knock off" reed diffusers from Aldi - they're divine!! Love the Pomegranate one

Ski4130 · 12/01/2018 17:02

White company, particularly the Seychelles one. Any of the Glass house candles and Di Palomi Fig candles are lovely, as are No 1 and 3 of the Aldi Jo Malone fakes.

I always ask for decent scented candles for my birthday and Christmas, I love nice smelling candles.

Hmmalittlefishy · 12/01/2018 17:02

I definitely think Yankee candles have changed they aren't as nice as they once were
I like the cheap ones from home and bargain the gingerbread one was lovely
I currently have a landon Tyler one from a friend which is lovely and you can actually smell it
The seeking balance soy candles are also nice

PeonyTruffle · 12/01/2018 17:05

Jo Malone.
Pomegranate Noir.

You will not be disappointed.

Nurse15 · 12/01/2018 17:09

Candle belle for me! I love them!

Luckingfovely · 12/01/2018 17:10

Giggling at those saying Woodwick. They're the ones that are supposed to crackle?

I had one in my office and it sounded like a swarm of bees was trying to kill me. Not relaxing Grin

PerryPerryThePlatypus · 12/01/2018 17:15

Celtic Candles Lime leaf and ginger. Burn evenly and last ages.

Honestpotato · 12/01/2018 17:17

Candleberry are fab and not much dearer thank Yankee for a large jar.

Try Pink Sugar it's my fave, I pop the large jar in the landing for about 40 mins and the smells fills the whole house.
